3 John 1
1 The Elder vnto the beloued Gaius, whom I loue in the trueth.
Izaho loholona mamangy an’ i Galo, ilay malala, izay tiako amin’ ny fahamarinana.
2 Beloued, I wish chiefly that thou prosperedst and faredst well as thy soule prospereth.
Ry malala, mangataka aho mba hambinina sy ho salama amin’ ny zavatra rehetra anie ianao, tahaka izay anambinana ny fanahinao ihany.
3 For I reioyced greatly when the brethren came, and testified of the trueth that is in thee, how thou walkest in the trueth.
Fa faly indrindra aho, fony nisy rahalahy tonga ka nanambara ny fahamarinanao, dia toy ny andehananao araka ny fahamarinana.
4 I haue no greater ioy then these, that is, to heare that my sonnes walke in veritie.
Tsy manana fifaliana mihoatra noho izao aho, dia ny andrenesako fa mandeha araka ny fahamarinana ny zanako.
5 Beloued, thou doest faithfully, whatsoeuer thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers,
Ry malala, manao asa mahatoky ianao na amin’ inona na amin’ inona ataonao amin’ ireo rahalahy ireo, na dia vahiny aza izy,
6 Which bare witnesse of thy loue before the Churches. Whom if thou bringest on their iourney as it beseemeth according to God, thou shalt doe well,
izay nanambara ny fitiavanao teo anatrehan’ ny fiangonana; dia ho soa no ataonao, raha mamoaka azy koa araka izay miendrika hatao noho ny amin’ Andriamanitra ianao;
7 Because that for his Names sake they went forth, and tooke nothing of the Gentiles.
fa noho ny Anarana no niangany, ka tsy naka na inona na inona tamin’ ny jentilisa izy.
8 We therefore ought to receiue such, that we might be helpers to the trueth.
Koa isika dia tokony handray tsara izay toy izany, mba ho mpiara-miasa aminy amin’ ny fahamarinana.
9 I wrote vnto the Church: but Diotrephes which loueth to haue the preeminence among them, receiueth vs not.
Nanoratra tamin’ ny fiangonana Ihany aho; nefa Diotrefa, izay te-ho lohany, dia tsy mba mandray anay.
10 Wherefore if I come, I will call to your remembrance his deedes which he doeth, pratling against vs with malicious wordes, and not therewith content, neither he himselfe receiueth the brethren, but forbiddeth them that woulde, and thrusteth them out of the Church.
Koa amin’ izany, raha tonga aho, dia hotsarovako izay asa ataony, fa mibedibedy foana manaratsy anay izy; ary tsy afa-po amin’ izany ihany, fa ny tenany dia tsy mandray ireo rahalahy ireo, ary izay ta-handray azy dia raràny sy roahiny hiala amin’ ny fiangonana.
11 Beloued, follow not that which is euill, but that which is good: he that doeth well, is of God: but he that doeth euill, hath not seene God.
Ry malala, aza ny ratsy no alain-tahaka, fa ny tsara. Izay manao ny tsara no avy amin’ Andriamanitra; fa izay manao ny ratsy tsy mba nahita an’ Andriamanitra.
12 Demetrius hath good report of al men, and of the trueth it selfe: yea, and wee our selues beare recorde, and ye know that our record is true.
Demetrio dia tsara laza amin’ ny olona rehetra sy amin’ ny fahamarinana koa; ary izahay koa manambara izany, ary fantatrao fa marina ny fanambaranay.
13 I haue many things to write: but I will not with yncke and pen write vnto thee:
Nanana zavatra maro hosoratana aho, nefa tsy tiako hosoratana aminao amin’ ny ranomainty sy ny penina;
14 For I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speake mouth to mouth. Peace be with thee. The friends salute thee. Greete the friends by name.
fa manantena hahita anao faingana ihany aho, dia hiteny mifanatrika isika. Ho aminao anie ny fiadanana. Ny sakaiza atỳ manao veloma anao. Veloma amin’ ny sakaiza tsirairay araka ny anarany avy.
