2 Timothy 3
1 This knowe also, that in the last dayes shall come perilous times.
ESTO tambien sepas, que en los postreros dias vendrán tiempos peligrosos:
2 For men shalbe louers of their owne selues, couetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to parents, vnthankefull, vnholy,
Que habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanagloriosos, soberbios, detractores, desobedientes á los padres, ingratos, sin santidad,
3 Without naturall affection, truce breakers, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, no louers at all of them which are good,
Sin afecto, desleales, calumniadores, destemplados, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno,
4 Traitours, headie, high minded, louers of pleasures more then louers of God,
Traidores, arrebatados, hinchados, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios;
5 Hauing a shewe of godlinesse, but haue denied the power thereof: turne away therefore from such.
Teniendo apariencia de piedad, mas habiendo negado la eficacia de ella: y á estos evita.
6 For of this sort are they which creepe into houses, and leade captiue simple women laden with sinnes, and led with diuers lustes,
Porque de estos son los que se entran por las casas, y llevan cautivas las mujercillas cargadas de pecados, llevadas de diversas concupiscencias;
7 Which women are euer learning, and are neuer able to come to the acknowledging of the trueth.
Que siempre aprenden, y nunca pueden acabar de llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.
8 And as Iannes and Iambres withstoode Moses, so doe these also resist the trueth, men of corrupt mindes, reprobate concerning the faith.
Y de la manera que Jannes y Jambres resistieron á Moisés, así tambien estos resisten á la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, réprobos acerca de la fé.
9 But they shall preuaile no longer: for their madnesse shalbe euident vnto all men, as theirs also was.
Mas no prevalecerán; porque su insensatez será manifiesta á todos, como tambien lo fué la de aquellos.
10 But thou hast fully knowen my doctrine, maner of liuing, purpose, faith, long suffering, loue, patience,
Pero tú has comprendido mi doctrina, instruccion, intento, fé, largura de ánimo, caridad, paciencia,
11 Persecutions, and afflictions which came vnto me at Antiochia, at Iconium, and at Lystri, which persecutions I suffered: but from them all the Lord deliuered me.
Persecuciones, aflicciones, cuales me sobrevinieron en Antioquia, en Iconio, en Listra; cuales persecuciones he sufrido, y de todas me ha librado el Señor.
12 Yea, and all that will liue godly in Christ Iesus, shall suffer persecution.
Y tambien todos los que quieren vivir piamente en Cristo Jesus, padecerán persecucion.
13 But the euill men and deceiuers, shall waxe worse and worse, deceiuing, and being deceiued.
Mas los malos hombres, y los engañadores, irán de mal en peor, engañando, y siendo engañados.
14 But continue thou in the thinges which thou hast learned, and which are committed vnto thee, knowing of who thou hast learned them:
Empero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido, y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quien has aprendido;
15 And that thou hast knowen the holy Scriptures of a childe, which are able to make thee wise vnto saluation, through the faith which is in Christ Iesus.
Y que desde la niñez has sabido las sagradas escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salud por la fé que es en Cristo Jesus.
16 For the whole Scripture is giuen by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teache, to conuince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousnesse,
Toda escritura inspirada divinamente, es útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir, para instituir en justicia,
17 That the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect vnto all good workes.
Para que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente instruido para toda buena obra.
