2 Samuel 7
1 Afterwarde when the King sate in his house and the Lord had giuen him rest rounde about from all his enemies,
E Succedeu que, estando o rei David em sua casa, e que o Senhor lhe tinha dado descanço de todos os seus inimigos em redor:
2 The King saide vnto Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, nowe I dwel in an house of cedar trees, and the Arke of God remayneth within the curtaines.
Disse o rei ao propheta Nathan: Ora olha, eu moro em casa de cedros e a arca de Deus mora dentro de cortinas.
3 Then Nathan sayde vnto the King, Go, and doe all that is in thine heart: for the Lord is with thee.
E disse Nathan ao rei: Vae, e faze tudo quanto está no teu coração; porque o Senhor é comtigo.
4 And the same night the worde of the Lord came vnto Nathan, saying,
Porém succedeu n'aquella mesma noite, que a palavra do Senhor veiu a Nathan, dizendo:
5 Goe and tell my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord, Shalt thou buylde me an house for my dwelling?
Vae, e dize a meu servo, a David: Assim diz o Senhor: Edificar-me-hias tu casa para minha habitação?
6 For I haue dwelt in no house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt vnto this day, but haue walked in a tent and tabernacle.
Porque em casa nenhuma habitei desde o dia em que fiz subir os filhos de Israel do Egypto até ao dia d'hoje: mas andei em tenda e em tabernaculo.
7 In al the places wherein I haue walked with all the children of Israel, spake I one worde with any of the tribes of Israel when I commanded the iudges to feede my people Israel? or sayde I, Why build ye not me an house of cedar trees?
E em todo o logar em que andei com todos os filhos d'Israel, fallei porventura alguma palavra com alguma das tribus d'Israel, a quem mandei apascentar o meu povo d'Israel, dizendo: Porque me não edificaes uma casa de cedros?
8 Nowe therefore so say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecote following the sheepe, that thou mightest bee ruler ouer my people, ouer Israel.
Agora, pois, assim dirás ao meu servo, a David: Assim diz o Senhor dos exercitos: Eu te tomei da malhada detraz das ovelhas, para que fosses o chefe sobre o meu povo, sobre Israel.
9 And I was with thee wheresoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a great name, like vnto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
E fui comtigo, por onde quer que foste, e destrui a teus inimigos diante de ti: e fiz para ti um grande nome, como o nome dos grandes que ha na terra.
10 (Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in a place of their owne, and moue no more, neither shall wicked people trouble them any more as before time,
E prepararei logar para o meu povo, para Israel, e o plantarei, para que habite no seu logar. e não mais seja movido, e nunca mais os filhos de perversidade o afflijam, como d'antes,
11 And since the time that I set Iudges ouer my people of Israel) and I will giue thee rest from al thine enemies: also the Lord telleth thee, that he will make thee an house.
E desde o dia em que mandei, que houvesse juizes sobre o meu povo Israel: a ti porém te dei descanço de todos os teus inimigos: tambem o Senhor te faz saber que o Senhor te fará casa.
12 And when thy daies bee fulfilled, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and I wil set vp thy seede after thee, which shall proceede out of thy body, and will stablish his kingdome.
Quando teus dias forem completos, e vieres a dormir com teus paes, então farei levantar depois de ti a tua semente, que sair das tuas entranhas, e estabelecerei o seu reino.
13 He shall buyld an house for my Name, and I will stablish ye throne of his kingdome for euer.
Este edificará uma casa ao meu nome, e confirmarei o throno do seu reino para sempre.
14 I will be his father, and hee shall bee my sonne: and if he sinne, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.
Eu lhe serei por pae, e elle me será por filho: e, se vier a transgredir, castigal-o-hei com vara de homens, e com açoites de filhos de homens.
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I tooke it from Saul whome I haue put away before thee.
Mas a minha benignidade se não apartará d'elle; como a tirei de Saul, a quem tirei de diante de ti.
16 And thine house shall be stablished and thy kingdome for euer before thee, euen thy throne shalbe stablished for euer.
Porém a tua casa e o teu reino será affirmado para sempre diante de ti: teu throno será firme para sempre.
17 According to all these wordes, and according to all this vision, Nathan spake thus vnto Dauid.
Conforme a todas estas palavras, e conforme a toda esta visão, assim fallou Nathan a David.
18 Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lord, and sayde, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
Então entrou o rei David, e ficou perante o Senhor, e disse: Quem sou eu, Senhor Jehovah, e qual é a minha casa, que me trouxeste até aqui?
19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God, therefore thou hast spoken also of thy seruants house for a great while: but doth this appertaine to man, O Lord God?
E ainda foi isto pouco aos teus olhos, Senhor Jehovah, senão que tambem fallaste da casa de teu servo para tempos distantes: é isto o costume dos homens, ó Senhor Jehovah?
20 And what can Dauid say more vnto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy seruant.
E que mais te fallará ainda David? pois tu conheces bem a teu servo, ó Senhor Jehovah.
21 For thy words sake, and according to thine owne heart hast thou done all these great things, to make them knowen vnto thy seruant.
Por causa da tua palavra, e segundo o teu coração, fizeste toda esta grandeza: fazendo-a saber a teu servo.
22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that wee haue heard with our eares.
Portanto, grandioso és, ó Senhor Jehovah, porque não ha similhante a ti, e não ha outro Deus senão tu só, segundo tudo o que temos ouvido com os nossos ouvidos.
23 And what one people in the earth is like thy people, like Israel? whose God went and redeemed them to himselfe, that they might be his people, and that hee might make him a name, and do for you great things, and terrible for thy land, O Lord, euen for thy people, whome thou redeemedst to thee out of Egypt, from the nations, and their gods?
E quem ha como o teu povo, como Israel, gente unica na terra? a quem Deus foi resgatar para seu povo; e a fazer-se nome, e a fazer-vos estas grandes e terriveis coisas á tua terra, diante do teu povo, que tu resgataste do Egypto, desterrando as nações e a seus deuses.
24 For thou hast ordeyned to thy selfe thy people Israel to be thy people for euer: and thou Lord art become their God.
E confirmaste a teu povo Israel por teu povo para sempre, e tu, Senhor, te fizeste o seu Deus.
25 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, confirme for euer the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and his house, and doe as thou hast sayde.
Agora, pois, ó Senhor Jehovah, esta palavra que fallaste ácerca de teu servo e ácerca da sua casa, confirma-a para sempre, e faze como tens fallado.
26 And let thy Name bee magnified for euer by them that shall say, The Lord of hostes is the God ouer Israel: and let the house of thy seruant Dauid be stablished before thee.
E engrandeça-se o teu nome para sempre, para que se diga: O Senhor dos exercitos é Deus sobre Israel; e a casa de teu servo será confirmada diante de ti
27 For thou, O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, hast reueiled vnto thy seruant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy seruant bene bold to pray this prayer vnto thee.
Pois tu, Senhor dos exercitos, Deus d'Israel, revelaste aos ouvidos de teu servo, dizendo: Edificar-te-hei casa. Portanto o teu servo achou no seu coração o fazer-te esta oração.
28 Therefore now, O Lord God, (for thou art God, and thy words be true, and thou hast tolde this goodnes vnto thy seruant)
Agora, pois, Senhor Jehovah, tu és o mesmo Deus, e as tuas palavras serão verdade, e tens fallado a teu servo este bem.
29 Therefore nowe let it please thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may continue for euer before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and let the house of thy seruant be blessed for euer, with thy blessing.
Sejas pois agora servido de abençoar a casa de teu servo, para permanecer para sempre diante de ti, pois tu, ó Senhor Jehovah, disseste; e com a tua benção será para sempre bemdita a casa de teu servo.
