2 Samuel 6
1 Againe Dauid gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, euen thirtie thousand,
David volvió a reunir a todos los hombres elegidos de Israel, treinta mil.
2 And Dauid arose and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Iudah to bring vp from thence the Arke of God, whose name is called by the Name of the Lord, of hostes, that dwelleth vpon it betweene the Cherubims.
David se levantó y fue con todo el pueblo que lo acompañaba desde Baale Judá, para hacer subir desde allí el arca de Dios, que se llama con el Nombre, el nombre de Yahvé de los Ejércitos que se sienta encima de los querubines.
3 And they put the Arke of God vpon a newe cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah. And Vzzah and Ahio the sonnes of Abinadab did driue the newe carte.
Pusieron el arca de Dios en un carro nuevo y la sacaron de la casa de Abinadab, que estaba en la colina; Uza y Ahio, hijos de Abinadab, conducían el carro nuevo.
4 And when they brought the Arke of God out of the house of Abinadab, that was at Gibeah, Ahio went before the Arke,
Lo sacaron de la casa de Abinadab que estaba en la colina, con el arca de Dios; y Ahio iba delante del arca.
5 And Dauid and al the house of Israel played before the Lord on all instruments made of firre, and on harpes, and on Psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
David y toda la casa de Israel tocaban delante de Yahvé con toda clase de instrumentos de madera de ciprés, con arpas, con instrumentos de cuerda, con panderetas, con castañuelas y con címbalos.
6 And when they came to Nachons threshing floore, Vzzah put his hande to the Arke of God, and helde it: for the oxen did shake it.
Cuando llegaron a la era de Nacón, Uza alcanzó el arca de Dios y se aferró a ella, pues el ganado tropezó.
7 And the Lord was verie wroth with Vzzah, and God smote him in the same place for his fault, and there he dyed by the Arke of God.
La ira de Yahvé ardió contra Uza, y Dios lo hirió allí por su error; y murió allí junto al arca de Dios.
8 And Dauid was displeased, because the Lord had smitten Vzzah: and he called the name of the place Perez Vzzah vntill this day.
David se disgustó porque Yahvé había arremetido contra Uza; y llamó a ese lugar Fares Uza hasta el día de hoy.
9 Therefore Dauid that day feared the Lord, and sayd, How shall the Arke of the Lord come to mee?
David tuvo miedo de Yahvé aquel día, y dijo: “¿Cómo podría venir a mí el arca de Yahvé?”.
10 So Dauid would not bring the Arke of the Lord vnto him into the citie of Dauid, but Dauid caried it into ye house of Obed-edom a Gittite.
Así que David no quiso trasladar el arca de Yahvé para que estuviera con él en la ciudad de David, sino que la llevó a un lado, a la casa de Obed-Edom el geteo.
11 And the Arke of the Lord continued in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite, three moneths, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom, and all his houshold.
El arca de Yahvé permaneció tres meses en la casa de Obed-Edom el geteo, y Yahvé bendijo a Obed-Edom y a toda su casa.
12 And one told King Dauid, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that hee hath, because of the Arke of God: therefore Dauid went and brought the Arke of God from the house of Obed-edom, into the citie of Dauid with gladnesse.
Se le dijo al rey David: “El Señor ha bendecido la casa de Obed-Edom y todo lo que le pertenece, a causa del arca de Dios.” Entonces David fue y subió con alegría el arca de Dios desde la casa de Obed-Edom a la ciudad de David.
13 And when they that bare the Arke of the Lord had gone sixe paces, he offred an oxe, and a fatte beast.
Cuando los que llevaban el arca de Yahvé habían recorrido seis pasos, sacrificó un buey y un ternero cebado.
14 And Dauid danced before the Lord with al his might, and was girded with a linnen Ephod.
David danzó ante Yahvé con todas sus fuerzas, y se vistió con un efod de lino.
15 So Dauid and all the house of Israel, brought the Arke of the Lord with shouting, and sound of trumpet.
Entonces David y toda la casa de Israel subieron el arca de Yahvé con gritos y con el sonido de la trompeta.
16 And as the Arke of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal Sauls daughter looked through a windowe, and sawe King Dauid leape, and dance before the Lord, and shee despised him in her heart.
Cuando el arca de Yahvé llegó a la ciudad de David, Mical, hija de Saúl, se asomó a la ventana y vio al rey David saltando y danzando ante Yahvé; y lo despreció en su corazón.
17 And when they had brought in the Arke of the Lord, they set it in his place, in the mids of the tabernacle that Dauid had pitched for it: then Dauid offred burnt offrings, and peace offrings before the Lord.
Hicieron entrar el arca de Yahvé y la colocaron en su lugar, en medio de la tienda que David había montado para ella; y David ofreció holocaustos y ofrendas de paz ante Yahvé.
18 And assoone as Dauid had made an ende of offring burnt offrings and peace offrings, hee blessed the people in the Name of the Lord of hostes,
Cuando David terminó de ofrecer los holocaustos y las ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahvé de los Ejércitos.
19 And gaue among all the people, euen among the whole multitude of Israel, aswel to the women as men, to euerie one a cake of bread, and a piece of flesh, and a bottell of wine: so all the people departed euerie one to his house.
Dio a todo el pueblo, de entre toda la multitud de Israel, tanto a los hombres como a las mujeres, a cada uno una porción de pan, dátiles y pasas. Y todo el pueblo se fue, cada uno a su casa.
20 The Dauid returned to blesse his house, and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meete Dauid, and sayde, O howe glorious was the King of Israel this day, which was vncouered to day in the eyes of the maidens of his seruantes, as a foole vncouereth himselfe.
Entonces David volvió para bendecir a su familia. Mical, la hija de Saúl, salió al encuentro de David y dijo: “¡Qué glorioso ha sido hoy el rey de Israel, que se ha descubierto a los ojos de las criadas de sus siervos, como se descubre descaradamente uno de los vanidosos!”
21 Then Dauid sayd vnto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me rather then thy father, and all his house, and commanded me to bee ruler ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel: and therefore will I play before the Lord,
David dijo a Mical: “Fue ante Yahvé, que me eligió por encima de tu padre y de toda su casa, para nombrarme príncipe del pueblo de Yahvé, de Israel. Por eso celebraré ante Yahvé.
22 And will yet be more vile then thus, and will be low in mine owne sight, and of the verie same maidseruants, which thou hast spoken of, shall I be had in honour.
Todavía seré más indigno que esto, y no tendré ningún valor a mis ojos. Pero las doncellas de las que has hablado me honrarán”.
23 Therfore Michal the daughter of Saul had no childe vnto the day of her death.
Mical, hija de Saúl, no tuvo hijos hasta el día de su muerte.
