2 Kings 9
1 Then Elisha the Prophet called one of ye children of the Prophets, and sayde vnto him, Gird thy loynes and take this boxe of oyle in thine hand and get thee to Ramoth Gilead.
Entonces el profeta Eliseo mandó llamar a uno de los hijos de los profetas y le dijo: Prepárate para el viaje, toma esta botella de aceite en tu mano y ve a Ramot-Galaad.
2 And when thou commest thither, looke where is Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat, the sonne of Nimshi, and go, and make him arise vp from among his brethren, and leade him to a secret chamber.
Y cuando llegues, ve en busca de Jehú, el hijo de Josafat, el hijo de Nimsi; Entra y haz que se levante de entre sus hermanos, y llévalo a otra habitación.
3 Then take the boxe of oyle and powre it on his head, and say, Thus sayth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel. then open the doore, and flee without any tarying.
Luego toma la botella y pon el aceite sobre su cabeza, y di: El Señor dice: Te he puesto el aceite santo para consagrarte rey sobre Israel. Luego, abriendo la puerta, huye, sin esperar.
4 So the seruat of ye Prophet gate him to Ramoth Gilead.
Entonces el joven profeta fue a Ramot de Galaad.
5 And when he came in, behold, the captaines of the armie were sitting. And he sayde, I haue a message to thee, O captaine. And Iehu sayd, Vnto which of all vs? And he answered, To thee, O captaine.
Y cuando llegó, vio a los capitanes del ejército sentados juntos; Y él dijo: Tengo algo que decirte, oh capitán. Y Jehú dijo: ¿A cuál de nosotros? Y él dijo: A ti, oh capitán contestó él profeta.
6 And he arose, and went into the house, and he powred the oyle on his head and sayde vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I haue anointed thee for King ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel.
Entonces se levantó y entró en la casa; luego puso el aceite santo sobre su cabeza y le dijo: El Señor, el Dios de Israel, dice: Te he puesto por rey sobre el pueblo del Señor, sobre Israel.
7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may auenge the blood of my seruants the Prophets, and the blood of al the seruants of the Lord of the hand of Iezebel.
Debes ver que la familia de Acab, tu amo, tú acabarás con su descendencia, para que pueda tomar de Jezabel el pago por la sangre de mis siervos los profetas y por la sangre de todos los siervos del Señor.
8 For the whole house of Ahab shalbe destroied: and I will cut off from Ahab, him that maketh water against the wall, as well him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel.
Porque la familia de Acab llegará a su fin; Todos los varones de la familia de Acab serán cortados, el que está encerrado y el que sale libre en Israel.
9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the sonne of Ahiiah.
Haré la familia de Acab como la de Jeroboam, el hijo de Nabat, y Baasa, el hijo de Ahías.
10 And the dogges shall eate Iezebel in the fielde of Izreel, and there shalbe none to burie her. And he opened the doore, and fled.
Y Jezabel se convertirá en alimento para los perros en el territorio de Jezreel, y no habrá nadie que ponga su cuerpo en la tierra. Luego, abriendo la puerta, salió en vuelo.
11 Then Iehu came out to the seruants of his lord. And one sayd vnto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellowe to thee? And hee sayde vnto them, Ye knowe the man, and what his talke was.
Salió nuevamente Jehú a los siervos de su señor, y uno le dijo: ¿Está todo bien? ¿Por qué este hombre, que está fuera de sí, viene a ti? Y él les dijo: Ustedes lo conocen al hombre y su forma de hablar.
12 And they sayde, It is false, tell vs it nowe. Then he sayd, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saieth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel.
Y ellos dijeron: Eso no es cierto; Ahora danos su historia. Luego dijo: Esto es lo que me dijo: El Señor dice: Te he hecho rey sobre Israel.
13 Then they made haste, and tooke euerie man his garment, and put it vnder him on the top of the staires, and blewe the trumpet, saying, Iehu is King.
Entonces, inmediatamente, todos tomaron su túnica y la colocaron debajo de él en la parte superior de los escalones y, sonando el cuerno, dijeron: Jehú es el rey.
14 So Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat the sonne of Nimshi conspired against Ioram: (Now Ioram kept Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael King of Aram.
Entonces Jehú, el hijo de Josafat, el hijo de Nimsi, hizo planes contra Joram. Ahora Joram y todo el ejército de Israel estaban vigilando a Ramot-gilead debido a Hazael, rey de Siria:
15 And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the woundes, which the Aramites had giuen him, when hee fought with Hazael King of Aram) and Iehu sayde, If it be your mindes, let no man depart and escape out of the citie, to goe and tell in Izreel.
Pero el rey Joram había regresado a Jezreel para curarse de las heridas que los sirios le habían causado cuando estaba luchando contra Hazael, rey de Siria. Y Jehú dijo: Si este es tu propósito, que nadie se escape y salga de la ciudad para dar noticias de ello en Jezreel.
16 So Iehu gate vp into a charet, and went to Izreel: for Ioram lay there, and Ahaziah King of Iudah was come downe to see Ioram.
Entonces Jehú subió a su carruaje y fue a Jezreel, porque Joram estaba enfermo en la cama allí; y Ocozías, rey de Judá, había bajado para ver a Joram.
17 And the watchman that stoode in the towre in Izreel spyed the companie of Iehu as hee came, and sayd, I see a companie. And Iehoram said, Take a horseman and send to meete them, that hee may say, Is it peace?
Y el vigilante en la torre de Jezreel vio venir a Jehú con una multitud, y dijo: Veo una multitud de personas. Y Joram dijo: Envíales un jinete, y dijo, ¿Hay paz?
18 So there went one on horseback to meete him, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu sayd, What hast thou to do with peace? Turne behinde me. And the watchman tolde, saying, The messenger came to them, but he commeth not againe.
Entonces un jinete se acercó a ellos y les dijo: El rey dice: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú dijo: ¿Qué tienes que ver con la paz? ven después de mi Y el vigilante les dio la palabra, diciendo: El jinete se acercó a ellos, pero no ha vuelto.
19 Then hee sent out another on horsebacke, which came to them, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu answered, What hast thou to doe with peace? turne behinde me.
Luego envió a un segundo jinete, que se acercó a ellos y dijo: El rey dice: ¿Hay paz? Y Jehú respondió: ¿Qué tienes que ver con la paz? Ven después de mi.
20 And the watchman tolde, saying, He came to them also, but commeth not againe, and the marching is like the marching of Iehu the sonne of Nimshi: for he marcheth furiously.
Y el hombre de guardia les dio palabra, diciendo: Él subió a ellos y no ha vuelto; y la conducción es como la conducción de Jehú, hijo de Nimsi, porque está conduciendo violentamente.
21 Then Iehoram sayd, Make ready: and his charet was made ready. And Iehoram King of Israel and Ahaziah King of Iudah went out eyther of them in his charet against Iehu, and met him in the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite.
Entonces Joram dijo: Preparate. Así prepararon su carruaje; y Joram, rey de Israel, con Ocozías, rey de Judá, salió en sus carruajes con el propósito de encontrarse con Jehú; y se encontraron cara a cara con él en el campo de Nabot, el jezreelita.
22 And when Iehoram sawe Iehu, he sayde, Is it peace, Iehu? And he answered, What peace? whiles the whoredomes of thy mother Iezebel, and her witchcraftes are yet in great nomber?
Y cuando Joram vio a Jehú, dijo: ¿Hay paz, Jehú? Y él respondió: ¿Qué paz es posible mientras toda la tierra está llena de las prostituciones de tu madre Jezabel y sus hechicerías?
23 Then Iehoram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, O Ahaziah, there is treason.
Entonces Joram, dando vueltas a sus caballos en vuelo, dijo a Ocozías: ¡traición, oh Ocozías!
24 But Iehu tooke a bowe in his hande, and smote Iehoram betweene the shoulders, that the arowe went through his heart: and he fell downe in his charet.
Entonces Jehú tomó su arco en su mano, y con todas sus fuerzas envió una flecha, hiriendo a Joram entre los brazos; y la flecha salió de su corazón, y se hundió sobre su rostro en su carruaje.
25 Then said Iehu to Bidkar a captaine, Take, and cast him in some place of the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite: for I remember that when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord layed this burden vpon him.
Entonces Jehú dijo a Bidcar, su capitán: Llévalo y ponlo en el campo de Nabot el Jezreelita; acuérdate de ese día cuando tú y yo, juntos sobre nuestros caballos, íbamos tras Acab, su padre, y el Señor le pronunció esta sentencia contra él; diciendo:
26 Surely I haue seene yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sonnes, saide the Lord, and I will render it thee in this fielde, saith the Lord: nowe therefore take and cast him in the fielde, according to the word of the Lord.
Vi la sangre de Nabot y de sus hijos ayer; y te daré el pago completo en este campo, dice el Señor? Así que ahora, tómalo y ponlo en este campo, como dijo el Señor.
27 But when Ahaziah the King of Iudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house: And Iehu pursued after him, and sayd, Smite him also in the charet: and they smote him in the going vp to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And hee fled to Megiddo, and there dyed.
Y cuando Ocozías, rey de Judá, vio esto, salió en vuelo por el camino de la casa del jardín. Y Jehú vino tras él y le dijo: Hazlo morir de la misma manera; y le dieron una herida de muerte en su carruaje, en la pendiente hasta Gur, por Ibleam; y se fue en vuelo a Meguido, donde la muerte vino a él.
28 And his seruants caried him in a charet to Ierusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the citie of Dauid.
Entonces sus siervos lo llevaron en un carruaje a Jerusalén, y lo enterraron con sus padres en la ciudad de David.
29 And in the eleuenth yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab, began Ahaziah to reigne ouer Iudah.
En el año undécimo del gobierno de Joram, hijo de Acab, Ocozías se convirtió en rey de Judá.
30 And when Iehu was come to Izreel, Iezebel heard of it, and painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a windowe.
Y cuando Jehú llegó a Jezreel, Jezabel tuvo noticias de ello; y, pintándose los ojos y vistiendo el pelo con adornos, sacó la cabeza por la ventana.
31 And as Iehu entred at the gate, shee sayde, Had Zimri peace, which slewe his master?
Y cuando Jehú entraba en el pueblo, ella dijo: ¿Está bien, oh Zimri, que tomas la vida de tu amo?
32 And he lift vp his eyes to the windowe, and sayd, Who is on my side, who? Then two or three of her Eunuches looked vnto him.
Luego, mirando hacia la ventana, dijo: ¿Quién está de mi lado, quién? y dos o tres criados eunucos asomaron sus cabezas.
33 And he sayde, Cast her downe: and they cast her downe, and hee sprinkled of her blood vpon the wall, and vpon the horses, and he trode her vnder foote.
Y él le dijo: Tómala y sácala por la ventana. Así que la echaron con fuerza por la ventana, y su sangre se salpicó en la pared y en los caballos; y ella fue aplastada bajo sus pies.
34 And when he was come in, he did eate and drinke, and sayde, Visite now yonder cursed woman, and burie her: for she is a Kings daughter.
Entró, y comió y bebió; luego dijo: Ahora ve a esta maldita mujer, y entiérrenla, porque a pesar de todo era la hija de un rey.
35 And they went to burie her, but they foud no more of her, then the skull and the feete, and the palmes of her handes.
Salieron para sepultarla, no se veía nada de ella, solo los huesos de su cabeza, sus pies y partes de sus manos.
36 Wherefore they came agayne and tolde him. And he said, This is the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruant Eliiah the Tishbite, saying, In the fielde of Izreel shall ye dogs eate the flesh of Iezebel.
Entonces volvieron y le dieron palabra de ello. Y él dijo: Esto es lo que el Señor dijo por su siervo Elías el Tisbita, diciendo: En la herencia de Jezreel, la carne de Jezabel se convertirá en alimento para los perros;
37 And the carkeis of Iezebel shalbe as doung vpon the ground in the field of Izreel, so that none shall say, This is Iezebel.
Y el cadáver de Jezabel será como estiércol arrojado sobre la faz de la tierra en la herencia de Jezreel; para que no puedan decir, esto es Jezabel.
