2 Kings 6
1 And the children of the Prophets saide vnto Elisha, Behold, we pray thee, the place where we dwell with thee, is too litle for vs.
Ary hoy ireo zanaky ny mpaminany tamin’ i Elisa: Indro, tsy omby anay ny toerana izay itoeranay eto aminao.
2 Let vs nowe goe to Iorden, that we may take thence euery man a beame, and make vs a place to dwell in. And he answered, Goe.
Masìna ianao, aoka hankany Jordana izahay, ka samy haka hazo iray avy any, dia hanao trano ho anay any mba hitoeranay. Ary hoy izy: mandehana ary ianareo.
3 And one said, Vouchsafe, I pray thee, to go with thy seruants, and he answered, I will goe.
Fa hoy ny anankiray: Masìna ianao, aoka mba hiaraka amin’ ny mpanomponao ho any koa ianao. Ary izy namaly hoe: Handeha ihany aho.
4 So he went with them, and when they came to Iorden, they cut downe wood.
Ka dia niaraka taminy izy. Ary nony tonga tany Jordana ireo, dia nikapa hazo.
5 And as one was felling of a tree, the yron fell into the water: then he cryed, and said, Alas master, it was but borowed.
Fa nony nikapa hazo ny anankiray, dia latsaka tany anaty rano ny lela-famaky; ka dia nitaraina hoe izy: Indrisy, tompoko, nindramina iny.
6 And the man of God saide, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. Then he cut downe a piece of wood, and cast in thither, and he caused the yron to swimme.
Ary hoy ny lehilahin’ Andriamanitra: Taiza no nahalatsahany? Dia natorony azy izay nahalatsahany. Ary Elisa nanapaka hazo, ka natsipiny teo, dia nitsinkafona ilay lela-famaky.
7 Then he saide, Take it vp to thee. And he stretched out his hand, and tooke it.
Ary hoy izy: Indro, raisonao izy. Dia narosony ny tànany, ka noraisiny.
8 Then the King of Aram warred against Israel, and tooke counsell with his seruants, and said, In such and such a place shalbe my campe.
Ary ny mpanjakan’ i Syria niady tamin’ ny Isiraely ka nilaza tamin’ ny mpanompony hoe: Any Anonana no hitobiako.
9 Therefore the man of God sent vnto the King of Israel, saying, Beware thou goe not ouer to such a place: for there the Aramites are come downe.
Ary ilay lehilahin’ Andriamanitra kosa naniraka tany amin’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely nanao hoe: Tandremo fandrao mankany Ananona ianao; fa any no hidinan’ ny Syriana.
10 So the King of Israel sent to the place which the man of God tolde him, and warned him of, and saued himselfe from thence, not once, nor twise.
Ary ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely naniraka tany amin’ izay nolazain’ ny lehilahin’ Andriamanitra taminy sy nananarany azy, ka nampiambina tany tsy indray mandeha, na indroa aza.
11 And the heart of the King of Aram was troubled for this thing: therefore he called his seruants and saide vnto them, Will ye not shewe me, which of vs bewrayeth our counsel to the king of Israel?
Dia sosotra indrindra ny fon’ ny mpanjakan’ i Syria noho izany zavatra izany; koa niantso ny mpanompony izy ary nanao taminy hoe: Tsy hambaranareo ahy va izay eto amintsika momba ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely?
12 Then one of his seruants saide, None, my lorde, O King, but Elisha the Prophet that is in Israel, telleth the King of Israel, euen the wordes that thou speakest in thy priuie chamber.
Ary hoy ny mpanompony anankiray: Tsy misy, ry mpanjaka tompoko; fa Elisa mpaminany ao amin’ ny Isiraely ihany no milaza amin’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely na dia izay teny lazainao ao amin’ ny trano fandrianao aza.
13 And he said, Goe, and espie where he is, that I may sende and fetch him. And one tolde him, saying, Beholde, he is in Dothan.
Ary hoy ny mpanjaka: Andeha, izahao izay itoerany mba hanirahako hisambotra azy. Ary nolazaina taminy hoe: Indro, ao Dotana izy.
14 So he sent thither horses, and charets, and a mightie hoste: and they came by night, and compassed the citie.
Ary dia nampandeha soavaly sy kalesy ary miaramila be ho any izy; ka tonga alina ireo ary nanodidina ny tanàna.
15 And when the seruant of the man of God arose earely to goe out, beholde, an hoste compassed the citie with horses and charets. Then his seruant sayde vnto him, Alas master, howe shall we doe?
Ary rehefa nifoha maraina koa ny zatovon’ ny lehilahin’ Andriamanitra ka nivoaka, dia, indreo, nisy miaramila sy soavaly ary kalesy manodidina ny tanàna. Dia hoy ilay zatovo taminy: Indrisy, tompoko! Ahoana no hataontsika?
16 And he answered, Feare not: for they that be with vs, are moe then they that be with them.
Ary hoy Elisa: Aza matahotra; fa ny momba antsika dia be noho ny momba azy.
17 Then Elisha prayed, and saide, Lord, I beseech thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the seruant, and he looked, and beholde, the mountaine was full of horses and charets of fyre round about Elisha.
Ary Elisa nivavaka hoe: Jehovah ô, mifona aminao aho, ampahirato ny masony mba hahitany. Ary Jehovah nampahiratra ny mason’ ilay zatovo; ary dia nahita izy, ka, indro, ny tendrombohitra feno soavaly sy kalesy afo manodidina an’ i Elisa.
18 So they came downe to him, but Elisha prayed vnto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindnesse. And he smote them with blindnes, according to the worde of Elisha.
Dia nidina nankany aminy ireo, ary Elisa nivavaka tamin’ i Jehovah ka nanao hoe: Mifona aminao aho, ataovy manjambena ireto olona ireto. Ary dia nataony manjambena ireo araka ny tenin’ i Elisa.
19 And Elisha said vnto them, This is not the way, neither is this the citie: follow me, and I will leade you to the man whome ye seeke. But he ledde them to Samaria.
Ary hoy Elisa taminy: Tsy ity no lalana, ary tsy ity no tanàna; fa manaraha ahy ianareo, dia hitondra anareo ho any amin’ ny lehilahy tadiavinareo aho. Dia nentiny nankany Samaria ireo.
20 And when they were come to Samaria, Elisha saide, Lord, open their eyes that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw, and beholde, they were in the mids of Samaria.
Ary rehefa tonga tany Samaria izy ireo, dia hoy Elisa: Jehovah ô, ampahirato ny mason’ ireto mba hahitany. Ary Jehovah nampahiratra ny masony, dia nahita izy; ka, indro, tao afovoan’ i Samaria izy.
21 And the King of Israel sayde vnto Elisha when he sawe them, My father, shall I smite them, shall I smite them?
Ary nony nahita azy ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, dia hoy izy tamin’ i Elisa: Ry ikaky ô, hasiako va izy? Hasiako va izy?
22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: doest thou not smite them that thou hast taken with thy sworde, and with thy bowe? but set bread and water before them, that they may eate and drinke and goe to their master.
Fa izy namaly hoe: Aza asianao izy; moa asianao izay nobaboinao tamin’ ny sabatrao sy ny tsipìkanao? Rosoy mofo sy rano eo anoloany mba hohaniny sy hosotroiny ary handehanany any amin’ ny tompony.
23 And he made great preparation for them: and when they had eaten and drunken, he sent them away: and they went to their master. So ye bands of Aram came no more into the land of Israel.
Dia nanao fanasana lehibe ho azy ny mpanjaka; ary rehefa nihinana sy nisotro ireo, dia nampandehaniny, ary dia nankany amin’ ny tompony izy. Koa dia tsy nankany amin’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely intsony ny mpitoha adin’ i Syria.
24 But afterward Ben-hadad King of Aram gathered all his hoste, and went vp, and besieged Samaria.
Ary rehefa afaka izany, Beni-hadada, mpanjakan’ i Syria, namory ny miaramilany rehetra, dia niakatra ka nanao fahirano an’ i Samaria.
25 So there was a great famine in Samaria: for loe, they besieged it vntill an asses head was at foure score pieces of siluer, and the fourth part of a kab of doues doung at fiue pieces of siluer.
Dia nisy mosary mafy tany Samaria; fa indro, nanao fahirano azy ireo mandra-pahatongan’ ny loham-boriky ho lafo sekely valo-polo sy ny taim-boromailala ampahefatry ny kaba ho sekely dimy.
26 And as the King of Israel was going vpon the wall, there cryed a woman vnto him, saying, Helpe, my lord, O King.
Ary raha nitsangantsangana teny ambonin’ ny manda ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, dia nisy vehivavy nitaraina taminy hoe: Vonjeo aho, ry mpanjaka tompoko.
27 And he said, Seeing the Lord doeth not succour thee, howe shoulde I helpe thee with the barne, or with the wine presse?
Ary hoy ny mpanjaka: Raha tsy vonjen’ i Jehovah ianao, aiza no hamonjeko anao? Amin’ ny famoloana va, sa amin’ ny famiazam-boaloboka?
28 Also the King said vnto her, What ayleth thee? And she answered, This woman sayde vnto me, Giue thy sonne, that we may eate him to day, and we will eate my sonne to morowe,
Ary hoy koa ny mpanjaka taminy: Inona ary no alahelonao? Ary ravehivavy namaly hoe: Hoy ity vehivavy ity tamiko: Aiza ny zanakao hohanintsika anio, ary ny zanako kosa hohanintsika rahampitso.
29 So we sod my sonne, and did eate him: and I saide to her the day after, Giue thy sonne, that we may eate him, but she hath hid her sonne.
Ka dia nandrahoinay ny zanako ka nohaninay; ary nony ampitso, dia hoy izaho taminy: Aiza kosa ny zanakao mba hohanintsika? kanjo nafeniny ny zanany.
30 And when the King had heard the wordes of the woman, he rent his clothes, (and as he went vpon the wall, the people looked, and behold, he had sackecloth within vpon his flesh)
Ary nony nandre ny tenin-dravehivavy ny mpanjaka, dia nandriatra ny fitafiany; ary nitsangantsangana teny ambonin’ ny manda izy, ka hitan’ ny olona fa, indro lamba fisaonana no nataony manolo-koditra.
31 And he saide, God doe so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha the sonne of Shaphat shall stande on him this day.
Dia hoy izy: Hataon’ Andriamanitra amiko anie izany, eny, mihoatra noho izany aza, raha tsy hotapahina anio ny lohan’ i Elisa, zanak’ i Safata.
32 (Nowe Elisha sate in his house, and the Elders sate with him.) And the King sent a man before him: but before the messenger came to him, he saide to the Elders, See ye not howe this murtherers sonne hath sent to take away mine head? take heede when the messenger commeth, and shut the doore and handle him roughly at the doore: is not the sounde of his masters feete behinde him?
Fa Elisa nipetraka tao an-tranony, ary ny loholona nipetraka tao aminy; ary ny mpanjaka naniraka olona avy teo aminy; fa raha tsy mbola tonga tany amin’ i Elisa iny iraka iny, dia hoy izy tamin’ ny loholona: Hitanareo va ny nanirahan’ ity zanaky ny mpamono olona ity hanapaka ny lohako? Izahao, ka raha avy ny iraka, dia arindrino ny varavarana, ary atoseho mafy hisakana azy; tsy eo aoriany koa va ny fingadongadon’ ny tongotry ny tompony?
33 While he yet talked with them, beholde, the messenger came downe vnto him, and saide, Behold, this euill commeth of the Lord: should I attende on the Lord any longer?
Ary raha mbola niresaka taminy izy, indro, nidina nankao aminy ny iraka ka nanao hoe: Indro, izao loza izao avy amin’ i Jehovah; ka inona intsony no anantenako an’ i Jehovah?
