2 Kings 3
1 Nowe Iehoram the sonne of Ahab beganne to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, the eighteenth yeere of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, and reigned twelue yeeres.
Karon si Joram anak nga lalake ni Achab nagsugod paghari sa Israel sa Samaria sa ikanapulo ug walo ka tuig ni Josaphat nga hari sa Juda, ug naghari sa napulo ug duha ka tuig.
2 And he wrought euill in the sight of the Lord, but not like his father nor like his mother: for he tooke away the image of Baal that his father had made.
Ug siya naghimo sa dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova, apan dili sama sa iyang amahan, ug sama sa iyang inahan; kay iyang gisalikway ang haliging bato ni Baal nga binuhat sa iyang amahan.
3 Neuerthelesse, he cleaued vnto the sinnes of Ieroboam, the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne, and departed not therefrom.
Apan siya nagpabilin sa mga sala ni Jeroboam anak nga lalake ni Nabat, diin gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala, siya wala mobiya niini.
4 Then Mesha King of Moab had store of sheepe, and rendred vnto the King of Israel an hundreth thousande lambes, and an hundreth thousande rammes with the wooll.
Karon si Mesa ang hari sa Moab maoy usa ka agalon sa mga carnero; ug iyang gihatag sa hari sa Israel ang balhibo sa usa ka gatus ka libo nga carnero nga nati, ug sa usa ka gatus ka libong carnero nga lake.
5 But when Ahab was dead, the king of Moab rebelled against the King of Israel.
Apan nahitabo, sa namatay na si Achab, nga ang hari sa Moab mialsa batok sa hari sa Israel.
6 Therefore King Iehoram went out of Samaria the same season, and nombred all Israel,
Ug ang hari nga si Joram migula sa Samaria niadtong panahona, ug giihap ang tibook Israel.
7 And went, and sent to Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, saying, The King of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou goe with me to battell against Moab? And he answered, I will goe vp: for I am, as thou art, my people, as thy people, and mine horses as thine horses.
Ug siya miadto ug nagpaadto kang Josaphat ang hari sa Juda, nga nagaingon: Ang hari sa Moab mialsa batok kanako: makigkauban ba ikaw kanako batok sa Moab aron sa pagpakiggubat? Ug siya miingon. Ako motungas: kay ingon nga ako mao man ikaw, ang akong katawohan mao man ang imong katawohan, ang akong mga kabayo mao man ang imong mga kabayo.
8 Then said he, What way shall we goe vp? And he answered, The way of the wildernesse of Edom.
Ug siya miingon: Asa dapit kita motungas? Ug siya mitubag: Sa alagian sa kamingawan sa Edom.
9 So went the King of Israel and the king of Iudah, and the King of Edom, and when they had compassed the way seuen dayes, they had no water for the hoste, nor for the cattell that followed them.
Busa ang hari sa Israel miadto, ug ang hari sa Juda, ug ang hari sa Edom; ug sila nanaghimo sa usa ka paglibut sa pito ka adlaw nga panaw: ug walay tubig alang sa panon, ni sa mga mananap nga nanagsunod kanila.
10 Therefore the King of Israel sayde, Alas, that the Lord hath called these three Kings, to giue them into the hand of Moab.
Ug ang hari sa Israel miingon: Alaut! kay si Jehova nagtawag sa pagtapok niining totolo ka hari aron sa pagtugyan kanila ngadto sa kamot sa Moab.
11 But Iehoshaphat saide, Is there not here a Prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire of the Lord by him? And one of the King of Israels seruants answered, and said, Here is Elisha the sonne of Shaphat, which powred water on the handes of Eliiah.
Apan si Josaphat miingon: Wala ba dinhi ang usa ka manalagna ni Jehova, aron kita makapangutana kang Jehova pinaagi kaniya? Ug ang usa sa mga sulogoon sa hari sa Israel mitubag ug miingon: Si Eliseo ang anak nga lalake ni Saphat ania dinhi, nga mibubo sa tubig sa mga kamot ni Elias.
12 Then Iehoshaphat saide, The worde of the Lord is with him. Therefore the King of Israel, and Iehoshaphat, and the King of Edom went downe to him.
Ug si Josaphat miingon: Ang pulong ni Jehova anaa kaniya. Busa ang hari sa Israel ug si Josaphat ug ang hari sa Edom minglugsong ngadto kaniya.
13 And Elisha sayde vnto the King of Israel, What haue I to doe with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father and to the prophets of thy mother. And the King of Israel saide vnto him, Nay: for the Lord hath called these three Kings, to giue them into the hande of Moab.
Ug si Eliseo miingon sa hari sa Israel Unsay labut nako kanimo? lumakaw ka ngadto sa mga manalagna sa imong amahan, ug ngadto sa mga manalagna sa imong inahan. Ug ang hari sa Israel miingon kaniya: Dili; kay si Jehova nagtawag sa pagtapok niining totolo ka mga hari aron sila itugyan ngadto sa kamot sa Moab.
14 Then Elisha said, As the Lord of hostes liueth, in whose sight I stande, if it were not, that I regarde the presence of Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah, I woulde not haue looked towarde thee, nor seene thee.
Ug si Eliseo miingon: Ingon nga si Jehova sa mga panon buhi, sa kang kinsang atubangan ako nagatindog, sa pagkatinuod, kong wala pa unta ako magtahud sa paghianhi ni Josaphat ang hari sa Juda, ako dili moatubang kanimo, ni makigkita kanimo.
15 But nowe bring me a minstrel. And when the minstrel played, the hand of the Lord came vpon him.
Apan karon dad-i ako ug usa ka magtotogtog. Ug sa nahitabo, nga ang magtotogtog mitogtog, nga ang kamot ni Jehova mianha kaniya.
16 And he saide, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches.
Ug siya miingon: Kini mao ang giingon ni Jehova: Himoa nga kining walog mapuno sa mga kanal.
17 For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall neither see winde nor see raine, yet the valley shalbe filled with water, that ye may drinke, both ye and your cattel, and your beastes.
Kay kini mao ang giingon ni Jehova: Kamo dili makakita sa hangin, ni makakita kamo sa ulan; apan kanang waloga mapuno sa tubig, ug kamo mag-inum, kamo ug ang inyong mga vaca ug ang inyong mga mananap.
18 But this is a small thing in the sight of the Lord: for he will giue Moab into your hande.
Ug kini usa lamang ka magaan nga butang sa mga mata ni Jehova: siya usab magatugyan sa mga Moabnon nganha sa inyong kamot.
19 And ye shall smite euery strong towne and euery chiefe citie, and shall fell euery faire tree, and shall stoppe all the fountaines of water, and marre euery good fielde with stones.
Ug pagahampakon ninyo ang tagsatagsa ka kinutaan nga ciudad, ug ang tagsatagsa ka pinili nga ciudad, ug mangapukan ang tagsatagsa ka maayong kahoy, ug makahunong sa tanang mga tuburan sa tubig ug magdaut sa tagsatagsa ka bahin sa maayong luna sa yuta pinaagi sa mga bato.
20 And in the morning whe the meat offring was offred, beholde, there came water by the way of Edom: and the countrey was filled with water.
Ug nahitabo sa pagkabuntag, sa hapit na ang panahon sa paghalad, nga, ania karon, may miabut nga tubig sa alagian sa Edom, ug ang yuta napuno sa tubig.
21 And when al the Moabites heard that the Kings were come vp to fight against them, they gathered all that was able to put on harnesse, and vpwarde, and stood in their border.
Karon sa pagkadungog sa mga Moabnon nga ang mga hari ming-anha aron sa pagpakig-away batok kanila, sila nanagtigum sa ilang kaugalingon, ang tanan nga makahimo sa paggamit sa hinagiban, ug uban pa, ug nanagtindog sa utlanan.
22 And they rose earely in the morning, when the sunne arose vpon the water, and the Moabites saw the water ouer against them, as red as blood.
Ug sila namangon sa pagsayo sa kabuntagon, ug ang adlaw misilang ibabaw sa tubig, ug ang mga Moabnon nakakita sa tubig sa ilang atbang ang kapula sama sa dugo:
23 And they saide, This is blood the Kings are surely slaine, and one hath smitten another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoyle.
Ug sila ming-ingon: Kini dugo; ang mga hari sa pagkatinuod nangalaglag na, ug sila nanag-unay ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sa iyang kauban: busa karon, Moab, ngadto sa mga inagaw.
24 And when they came to the host of Israel, the Israelites arose vp, and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them, but they inuaded them, and smote Moab.
Ug sa paghiadto nila sa campo sa Israel, ang mga Israelihanon nanindog ug gilaglag ang mga Moabnon, mao nga sila nangalagiw gikan sa ilang atubangan; ug sila ming-asdang sa yuta, uban ang paglaglag sa mga Moabnon.
25 And they destroyed the cities: and on all the good field euery man cast his stone, and filled them and they stopt all the fountaines of water, and felled all the good trees: onely in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof: howebeit they went about it with slings, and smote it.
Ug ilang gigun-ob ang mga ciudad; ug sa ibabaw sa tagsatagsa ka maayong luna sa yuta gisalibay sa tagsatagsa ka tawo ang iyang bato, ug gipuno kini; ug ilang gipahunong ang tanan nga mga tuburan sa tubig, ug gipamutol ang tanan nga mga maayong kahoy hangtud sa Kir-hareseth ang mga bato lamang ang ilang gibilin didto; apan ang mga manglalabyog nanaglibut niini ug gihampak kini.
26 And when the King of Moab saw that the battel was too sore for him, he tooke with him seuen hudreth men that drew the sword, to break through vnto the King of Edom: but they could not.
Ug sa pagkakita sa hari sa Moab nga ang gubat hilabihan ra kaayo alang kaniya, siya midala uban kaniya sa pito ka gatus ka tawo nga nanag-ibut sa pinuti aron sa pagsulong ngadto sa hari sa Edom; apan sila wala makahimo.
27 Then he tooke his eldest sonne, that should haue reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offring vpon the wall: so that Israel was sore grieued, and they departed from him, and returned to their countrey.
Unya iyang gikuha ang iyang kamagulangang anak nga lalake nga buot maghari ilis kaniya, ug gihalad siya nga halad-nga-sinunog sa ibabaw sa kuta. Ug dihay dakung kaligutgut batok sa Israel: ug sila namahawa gikan kaniya, ug namauli ngadto sa ilang yuta.
