2 Kings 3
1 Nowe Iehoram the sonne of Ahab beganne to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, the eighteenth yeere of Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, and reigned twelue yeeres.
১যিহূদাত যিহোচাফটৰ ৰাজত্বৰ ওঠৰ বছৰত ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা আহাবৰ পুত্ৰ যোৰাম ৰজা হ’ল। তেওঁ চমৰিয়াত থাকি বাৰ বছৰ ৰাজত্ব কৰিলে।
2 And he wrought euill in the sight of the Lord, but not like his father nor like his mother: for he tooke away the image of Baal that his father had made.
২যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত তেওঁ কু-আচৰণ কৰিলে, কিন্তু তেওঁ তেওঁৰ পিতৃ-মাতৃৰ দৰে কৰা নাছিল; কিয়নো তেওঁৰ পিতৃয়ে বাল দেৱতাৰ পূজাৰ কাৰণে যি স্তম্ভ নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিছিল, তাক তেওঁ দূৰ কৰি দিছিল।
3 Neuerthelesse, he cleaued vnto the sinnes of Ieroboam, the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne, and departed not therefrom.
৩তথাপি নবাটৰ পুত্র যাৰবিয়ামে যি সকলো পাপ কার্য কৰি ইস্ৰায়েলক পাপ কৰিবলৈ বাধ্য কৰাইছিল, সেই পাপবোৰত তেওঁ আসক্ত হৈ থাকিল; তেওঁ সেইবোৰ বন্ধ নকৰিলে।
4 Then Mesha King of Moab had store of sheepe, and rendred vnto the King of Israel an hundreth thousande lambes, and an hundreth thousande rammes with the wooll.
৪মোৱাবৰ ৰজা মেচাই মেৰ-ছাগ পুহি সেইবোৰৰ বংশ বৃদ্ধি কৰিছিল। তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাক কৰ হিচাবে এক লাখ মেৰ-ছাগ পোৱালি আৰু এক লাখ মতা মেৰ-ছাগৰ ঊল দিব লাগিছিল।
5 But when Ahab was dead, the king of Moab rebelled against the King of Israel.
৫কিন্তু আহাবৰ মৃত্যুৰ পাছত, মোৱাবৰ ৰজাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে বিদ্ৰোহ কৰিলে।
6 Therefore King Iehoram went out of Samaria the same season, and nombred all Israel,
৬সেয়ে ইস্রায়েলৰ ৰজা যোৰামে তেতিয়া চমৰিয়াৰ পৰা ওলাই গৈ ইস্ৰায়েলীয়াসকলক যুদ্ধৰ কাৰণে একগোট কৰিলে।
7 And went, and sent to Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, saying, The King of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou goe with me to battell against Moab? And he answered, I will goe vp: for I am, as thou art, my people, as thy people, and mine horses as thine horses.
৭যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোচাফটৰ ওচৰলৈ তেওঁ বার্তা পঠাই জনালে যে, “মোৱাবৰ ৰজাই মোৰ বিৰুদ্ধে বিদ্ৰোহ কৰিছে; আপুনি মোৱাবৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ মোৰ লগত যাব নে?” যিহোচাফটে ক’লে, “মই আপোনাৰ লগত যাম। মই আপোনাৰ দৰেই হওঁ; মোৰ লোক আৰু ঘোঁৰাবোৰ যেনে আপোনাৰ লোকসকল আৰু ঘোঁৰাবোৰো তেনে।”
8 Then said he, What way shall we goe vp? And he answered, The way of the wildernesse of Edom.
৮তাৰ পাছত ৰজা যোৰামে সুধিলে, “আমি কোন বাটেৰে গৈ আক্রমণ কৰিম?” তাতে তেওঁ ক’লে, “ইদোমৰ মৰুপ্রান্তৰৰ মাজেদি।”
9 So went the King of Israel and the king of Iudah, and the King of Edom, and when they had compassed the way seuen dayes, they had no water for the hoste, nor for the cattell that followed them.
৯সেইদৰে, যিহূদাৰ ৰজা আৰু ইদোমৰ ৰজাৰ সৈতে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা ওলাই গ’ল। তেওঁলোকে সাত দিন ধৰি অর্ধবৃত্ত হৈ ঘূৰি আগবাঢ়ি গ’ল। তেতিয়া সৈন্যসকলৰ কাৰণে আৰু লগত নিয়া পশুবোৰৰ কাৰণে তেওঁলোকে পানী বিচাৰি পোৱা নাছিল।
10 Therefore the King of Israel sayde, Alas, that the Lord hath called these three Kings, to giue them into the hand of Moab.
১০তাকে দেখি ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাই ক’লে, “হায় হায়! মোৱাবৰ হাতত পৰাজিত হ’বলৈকে যিহোৱাই আমাৰ এই তিনিজন ৰজাক একত্রিত কৰি মাতি আনিলে নেকি?”
11 But Iehoshaphat saide, Is there not here a Prophet of the Lord, that we may inquire of the Lord by him? And one of the King of Israels seruants answered, and said, Here is Elisha the sonne of Shaphat, which powred water on the handes of Eliiah.
১১কিন্তু যিহোচাফটে ক’লে, “ইয়াত যিহোৱাৰ কোনো ভাববাদী নাই নেকি যিজনৰ যোগেদি আমি যিহোৱাৰ ওচৰত সুধিব পাৰিম?” তাতে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাৰ দাসবোৰৰ এজনে ক’লে, “চাফটৰ পুতেক ইলীচা ইয়াত আছে। তেওঁ এলিয়াৰ হাতত পানী বাকী দিয়া সেৱাকাৰী আছিল।”
12 Then Iehoshaphat saide, The worde of the Lord is with him. Therefore the King of Israel, and Iehoshaphat, and the King of Edom went downe to him.
১২যিহোচাফটে ক’লে, “যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য তেওঁৰ ওচৰত আছে।” তাতে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজা, ইদোমৰ ৰজা আৰু যিহোচাফট ইলীচাৰ ওচৰলৈ নামি গ’ল।
13 And Elisha sayde vnto the King of Israel, What haue I to doe with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father and to the prophets of thy mother. And the King of Israel saide vnto him, Nay: for the Lord hath called these three Kings, to giue them into the hande of Moab.
১৩ইলীচাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাক ক’লে, “আপোনাৰ কাৰণে মই কি কৰিব পাৰোঁ? আপুনি আপোনাৰ পিতৃ আৰু মাতৃৰ ভাববাদীসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ যাওঁক।” তেতিয়া ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “নহয়, আমি নাযাওঁ, কাৰণ মোৱাবৰ হাতত পৰাজিত হ’বলৈ যিহোৱাই আমাৰ তিনিওজন ৰজাক একত্রিত কৰি মাতি আনিলে।”
14 Then Elisha said, As the Lord of hostes liueth, in whose sight I stande, if it were not, that I regarde the presence of Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah, I woulde not haue looked towarde thee, nor seene thee.
১৪ইলীচাই ক’লে, “যিজনাৰ সন্মুখত থাকি মই সেৱা কৰিবলৈ প্রস্তুত, বাহিনীসকলৰ সেই জীৱিত যিহোৱাৰ শপত যে, যিহূদাৰ ৰজা যিহোচাফট যদি ইয়াত নাথাকিলহেঁতেন, মই আপোনালৈ মনোযোগ নিদিলোহেঁতেন, এনেকি মই আপোনাৰ ফালে নাপালোহেঁতেন।
15 But nowe bring me a minstrel. And when the minstrel played, the hand of the Lord came vpon him.
১৫কিন্তু এতিয়া মোৰ ওচৰলৈ এজন বীণা বজোৱা লোকক লৈ আনক।” লোকজনে যেতিয়া বীণা বজাইছিল, তেতিয়া যিহোৱাৰ হাত ইলীচাৰ ওপৰলৈ আহিল।
16 And he saide, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches.
১৬তাতে তেওঁ ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: ‘এই শুকান নদীৰ উপত্যকাটো খান্দি খাল তৈয়াৰ কৰক।’
17 For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall neither see winde nor see raine, yet the valley shalbe filled with water, that ye may drinke, both ye and your cattel, and your beastes.
১৭কিয়নো যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘আপোনালোকে কোনো বতাহ বা বৰষুণ দেখা নাপালেও, এই নদীৰ উপত্যকা পানীৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ হ’ব আৰু আপোনালোকে পানী খাব পাৰিব; আপোনালোকৰ পশুধন আৰু আন আন জন্তুবোৰেও পানী খাব।’
18 But this is a small thing in the sight of the Lord: for he will giue Moab into your hande.
১৮যিহোৱাৰ দৃষ্টিত ই অতি সৰু কথা; তেওঁ মোৱাবীয়াসকলৰ ওপৰত আপোনালোকক বিজয়ী কৰিব।
19 And ye shall smite euery strong towne and euery chiefe citie, and shall fell euery faire tree, and shall stoppe all the fountaines of water, and marre euery good fielde with stones.
১৯গড়েৰে আবৃত প্ৰত্যেকখন নগৰ আৰু উত্তম নগৰ আপোনালোকে আক্রমণ কৰিব; আপোনালোকে প্ৰত্যেকটো উত্তম গছ কাটি পেলাব, পানীৰ সকলো ভুমুক বন্ধ কৰি দিব আৰু সকলো উত্তম পথাৰ শিলেৰে নষ্ট কৰি পেলাব।”
20 And in the morning whe the meat offring was offred, beholde, there came water by the way of Edom: and the countrey was filled with water.
২০পাছদিনা ৰাতিপুৱা বলি উৎসৰ্গৰ সময়ত ইদোম দেশৰ ফালৰ পৰা পানীবৈ আহিল। পানীৰে দেশখন ভৰি পৰিল।
21 And when al the Moabites heard that the Kings were come vp to fight against them, they gathered all that was able to put on harnesse, and vpwarde, and stood in their border.
২১ইতিমধ্যে মোৱাবীয়াসকলে শুনিছিল যে, তেওঁলোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে সেই তিনিজন ৰজা যুদ্ধ কৰিবলৈ আহিছে। তেতিয়া যুদ্ধৰ সাজ পিন্ধি যুদ্ধ কৰিব পৰা সকলো একগোট হৈ দেশৰ সীমাত উপস্থিত হ’ল।
22 And they rose earely in the morning, when the sunne arose vpon the water, and the Moabites saw the water ouer against them, as red as blood.
২২অতি ৰাতিপুৱাতে যেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে সাৰ পালে, তেতিয়া সূৰ্যৰ ৰশ্মি পানীৰ ওপৰত প্রতিফলিত হৈছিল। মোৱাবীয়াসকলে তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰত সেই পানী তেজৰ দৰে ৰঙা যেন দেখিলে।
23 And they saide, This is blood the Kings are surely slaine, and one hath smitten another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoyle.
২৩তেওঁলোকে আচৰিত হৈ ক’লে, “এই চাওকচোন, চাওঁক, এইয়া তেজ! নিশ্চয়ে, সেই ৰজাসকলে এজনে আন জনক হত্যা কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল! গতিকে হে মোৱাবীয়াসকল ব’লা, এতিয়া আমি গৈ লুট কৰোঁহক!”
24 And when they came to the host of Israel, the Israelites arose vp, and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them, but they inuaded them, and smote Moab.
২৪কিন্তু মোৱাবীয়াসকল ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ছাউনিৰ ওচৰ আহি পোৱাত ইস্ৰায়েলীয়াসকলে অতর্কিতে ওলাই গৈ মোৱাবীয়াসকলক আক্রমণ কৰিলে আৰু মোৱাবীয়াসকল ইস্রায়েলৰ সন্মুখৰ পৰা পলাই গ’ল। ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সৈন্যসকলে মোৱাবীয়াসকলক বধ কৰি কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ দেশত সোমাই পৰিল।
25 And they destroyed the cities: and on all the good field euery man cast his stone, and filled them and they stopt all the fountaines of water, and felled all the good trees: onely in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof: howebeit they went about it with slings, and smote it.
২৫তেওঁলোকে নগৰবোৰ ধ্বংস কৰিলে আৰু প্ৰত্যেকে শিল দলিয়াই সকলো সাৰুৱা পথাৰবোৰ শিলাময় কৰিলে। তেওঁলোকে পানীৰ ভুমুকবোৰ বন্ধ কৰি দিলে আৰু উত্তম উত্তম গছবোৰ কাটি পেলালে। কেৱলমাত্র কীৰ-হেৰচত নগৰখনৰ শিলবোৰ য’তে আছিল ত’তে এৰি হ’ল। কিন্তু ফিঙ্গা অস্ত্রধাৰী সৈন্যসকলে নগৰখন আক্রমণ কৰিলে।
26 And when the King of Moab saw that the battel was too sore for him, he tooke with him seuen hudreth men that drew the sword, to break through vnto the King of Edom: but they could not.
২৬পাছত মোৱাবৰ ৰজা মেচেই যেতিয়া দেখিলে যে তেওঁ যুদ্ধত পৰাজয় হ’ব, তেতিয়া তেওঁ সৈন্যসকলৰ মাজেদিয়েই ইদোমৰ ৰজাৰ ওচৰলৈ যাবলৈ নিজৰ লগত সাতশ তৰোৱালধাৰী সেনা ল’লে; কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে নোৱাৰিলে।
27 Then he tooke his eldest sonne, that should haue reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offring vpon the wall: so that Israel was sore grieued, and they departed from him, and returned to their countrey.
২৭তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ নিজৰ জ্যেষ্ঠপুত্র, যিজন তেওঁৰ পাছত ৰাজপাটৰ উত্তৰাধিকাৰী, তেওঁক লৈ গৈ নগৰৰ দেৱালৰ ওপৰত হোম-বলি উৎসর্গ কৰিলে আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অতিশয় ক্রোধিত হ’ল। তাতে ইস্রায়েলীয়া সৈন্যসকলে ৰজা মেচাক এৰি দি নিজ দেশলৈ ওভটি গ’ল।
