2 Kings 24
1 In his dayes came Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel vp, and Iehoiakim became his seruant three yeere: afterwarde he turned, and rebelled against him.
Trong đời Giê-hô-gia-kim trị vì, Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, xâm lấy xứ. Giê-hô-gia-kim thần phục người trong ba năm, rồi người đổi ý và phản nghịch với người.
2 And the Lord sent against him bandes of the Caldees, and bands of the Aramites, and bands of the Moabites, and bandes of the Ammonites, and he sent them against Iudah to destroy it, according to the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruants the Prophets.
Ðức Giê-hô-va khiến những quân Canh-đê, quân Sy-ri, quân Mô-áp, và quân của dân Am-môn đến đấu địch cùng Giu-đa, để hủy hại Giu-đa, tùy theo lời Ðức Giê-hô-va đã cậy miệng các tiên tri, là tôi tớ Ngài, mà phán ra.
3 Surely by the commandement of the Lord came this vpon Iudah, that he might put them out of his sight for the sinnes of Manasseh, according to all that he did,
Tai họa này hẳn xảy đến cho Giu-đa bởi mạng lịnh của Ðức Giê-hô-va, đặng cất nước Giu-đa khỏi trước mặt mình, vì cớ các tội lỗi Ma-na-se, theo các điều người đã làm,
4 And for the innocent blood that he shed, (for he filled Ierusalem with innocent blood) therefore the Lord would not pardon it.
lại cũng tại cớ huyết vô tội mà người đổ ra; vì người đã làm cho Giê-ru-sa-lem đầy huyết vô tội, thì Ðức Giê-hô-va không khứng tha thứ người.
5 Concerning the rest of the actes of Iehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kinges of Iudah?
Các chuyện khác của Giê-hô-gia-kim, những công việc người, đều chép trong sử ký về các vua Giu-đa.
6 So Iehoiakim slept with his fathers, and Iehoiachin his sonne reigned in his steade.
Giê-hô-gia-kim an giấc cùng các tổ phụ mình, và Giê-hô-gia-kin, con trai người, làm vua thế cho người.
7 And the King of Egypt came no more out of his lande: for the King of Babel had taken from the riuer of Egypt, vnto the riuer Perath, all that pertained to the King of Egypt.
Vả, vua Ê-díp-tô không dám ra khỏi xứ mình nữa, bởi vì vua Ba-by-lôn đã chiếm lấy xứ thuộc về vua Ê-díp-tô, từ khe Ê-díp-tô cho đến sông Ơ-phơ-rát.
8 Iehoiachin was eighteene yere old, when he beganne to reigne, and reigned in Ierusalem three moneths. His mothers name also was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Ierusalem.
Giê-hô-gia-kin được mười tám tuổi khi lên làm vua; người cai trị ba tháng tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ người tên là Nê-hu-ta, con gái của Eân-na-than ở Giê-ru-sa-lem.
9 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father had done.
Giê-hô-gia-kin làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va và theo trọn các gương của cha mình.
10 In that time came the seruants of Nebuchad-nezzar king of Babel vp against Ierusalem: so the citie was besieged.
Trong lúc đó, các quân lính Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, đi lên vây thành Giê-ru-sa-lem.
11 And Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel came against the citie, and his seruants did besiege it.
Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, là vua Ba-by-lôn, cũng đến trước thành, trong lúc các quân lính người vây thành.
12 Then Iehoiachin the king of Iudah came out against the King of Babel, he, and his mother and his seruants, and his princes, and his eunuches: and the King of Babel tooke him in the eyght yeere of his reigne.
Giê-hô-gia-kin, vua Giu-đa, bèn cùng mẹ mình, các tôi tớ mình, các quan tướng, và các hoạn quan mình, đi ra đầu hàng vua Ba-by-lôn. Vua Ba-by-lôn bắt người nhằm năm thứ tám triều mình.
13 And he caryed out thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and brake all the vessels of gold, which Salomon King of Israel had made in the Temple of the Lord, as the Lord had saide.
Y như lời Ðức Giê-hô-va đã phán, người lấy hết thảy những bửu vật của đền Ðức Giê-hô-va và những bửu vật của vua, đập bể các khí dụng bằng vàng mà Sa-lô-môn, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, đã làm cho đền thờ của Ðức Giê-hô-va.
14 And he caryed away all Ierusalem, and all the princes, and all the strong men of warre, euen ten thousande into captiuitie, and all the workemen, and cunning men: so none remained sauing the poore people of the lande.
Người dẫn đi cả dân Giê-ru-sa-lem, hết thảy những quan tướng, và những lính chiến mạnh mẽ, số là một muôn người; lại cũng bắt hết thảy các thợ mộc và thợ rèn; chỉ còn lại những thường dân của xứ.
15 And he caryed away Iehoiachin into Babel, and the Kings mother, and the Kinges wiues, and his eunuches, and the mightie of the lande caryed he away into captiuitie from Ierusalem to Babel,
Vậy, người đem Giê-hô-gia-kin đến Ba-by-lôn; lại bắt đem đến Ba-by-lôn, thái hậu, hoàng hậu, các hoạn quan, những người sang trọng của xứ,
16 And al the men of warre, euen seuen thousand, and carpenters, and lockesmithes a thousande: all that were strong and apt for warre, did the King of Babel bring to Babel captiues.
luôn với những người chiến sĩ, số là bảy ngàn người, cả thảy đều là người mạnh dạn có tài chiến trận. Ðó là những người mà vua Ba-by-lôn bắt qua Ba-by-lôn làm phu tù.
17 And the King of Babel made Mattaniah his vncle King in his steade, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
Vua Ba-by-lôn lập Ma-tha-nia, cậu của Giê-hô-gia-kin, làm vua thế cho người, đổi tên cho là Sê-đê-kia.
18 Zedekiah was one and twentie yeere olde, when he began to reigne, and he reigned eleuen yeeres in Ierusalem. His mothers name also was Hamutal the daughter of Ieremiah of Libnah.
Sê-đê-kia được hai mươi mốt tuổi khi lên làm vua, và người cai trị mười một năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mệ người tên là Ha-mu-ta, con gái của Giê-rê-mi ở Líp-na.
19 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Iehoiakim had done.
Người làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, và theo trọn các gương của Giê-hô-gia-kin.
20 Therefore certainly the wrath of the Lord was against Ierusalem and Iudah vntill he cast them out of his sight. And Zedekiah rebelled against the King of Babel.
Bởi cơn giận của Ðức Giê-hô-va nổi lên, nên Ngài giáng trên Giê-ru-sa-lem và Giu-đa những tai họa này, cho đến đỗi Ngài trừ bỏ chúng nó khỏi trước mặt Ngài. Sê-đê-kia bèn phản nghịch vua Ba-by-lôn.
