2 Kings 21

1 Manasseh was twelue yeere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned fiftie and fiue yeere in Ierusalem: his mothers name also was Hephzi-bah.

De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fue Hapsiba.

2 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord after the abomination of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.

3 For he went backe and built the hie places, which Hezekiah his father had destroyed: and he erected vp altars for Baal, and made a groue, as did Ahab King of Israel, and worshipped all the hoste of heauen and serued them.

Porque él volvió a edificar los altos que Ezequías su padre había derribado: y levantó altares a Baal, e hizo bosque, como había hecho Acab rey de Israel; y adoró a todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió a aquellas cosas.

4 Also he built altars in the house of the Lord, of the which the Lord saide, In Ierusalem will I put my Name.

Asimismo edificó altares en la casa de Jehová, de la cual Jehová había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalem.

5 And he built altars for al the hoste of ye heauen in the two courtes of the house of the Lord.

Y edificó altares para todo el ejército del cielo en los dos patios de la casa de Jehová.

6 And he caused his sonnes to passe through the fire, and gaue him selfe to witchcraft and sorcerie, and he vsed them that had familiar spirits and were soothsayers, and did much euill in the sight of the Lord to anger him.

Y pasó a su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fue agorero, e instituyó pitones y adivinos, y multiplicó a hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para provocarle a ira.

7 And he set the image of the groue, that he had made, in the house, whereof ye Lord had saide to Dauid and to Salomon his sonne, In this house and in Ierusalem, which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my Name for euer.

Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual Jehová había dicho a David, y a Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre perpetuamente en esta casa, y en Jerusalem, a la cual yo escogí de todas las tribus de Israel:

8 Neither will I make the feete of Israel, mooue any more out of the lande, which I gaue their fathers: so that they will obserue and doe all that I haue commanded them, and according to all the Lawe that my seruant Moses commanded them.

Y no volveré a hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra, que di a sus padres, con tal que guarden, y hagan conforme a todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.

9 Yet they obeyed not, but Manasseh ledde them out of the way, to doe more wickedly then did the heathen people, whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.

Mas ellos no oyeron, y Manasés los hizo errar a que hiciesen más mal que las gentes, que Jehová rayó de delante de los hijos de Israel.

10 Therefore the Lord spake by his seruants the Prophets, saying,

Y Jehová habló por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:

11 Because that Manasseh King of Iudah hath done such abominations, and hath wrought more wickedly then al that the Amorites (which were before him) did, and hath made Iudah sinne also with his idoles,

Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal, que todo lo que hicieron los Amorreos, que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar a Judá en sus ídolos:

12 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Beholde, I will bring an euill vpon Ierusalem and Iudah, that who so heareth of it, both his eares shall tingle.

Por tanto así dijo Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí, yo traigo mal sobre Jerusalem, y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere le retiñan ambas orejas.

13 And I will stretch ouer Ierusalem the line of Samaria, and the plommet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Ierusalem, as a man wipeth a dish, which he wipeth, and turneth it vpside downe.

Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Acab: y yo limpiaré a Jerusalem, como quien limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.

14 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliuer them into the hande of their enemies, and they shalbe robbed and spoyled of all their aduersaries,

Y desampararé los restos de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos, y serán para saco, y para robo a todos sus adversarios:

15 Because they haue done euil in my sight, and haue prouoked mee to anger, since the time their fathers came out of Egypt vntill this day.

Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado a ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.

16 Moreouer Manasseh shed innocent blood exceeding much, till hee replenished Ierusalem from corner to corner, beside his sinne wherwith he made Iudah to sinne, and to doe euill in the sight of the Lord.

Allende de esto derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir a Jerusalem de cabo a cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar a Judá para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.

17 Concerning the rest of the actes of Manasseh, and all that hee did, and his sinne that he sinned, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y todas las cosas que hizo, y su pecado que pecó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

18 And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, euen in the garden of Vzza: and Amon his sonne reigned in his steade.

Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Oza, y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.

19 Amon was two and twentie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and hee reygned two yeere in Ierusalem: his mothers name also was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Iotbah.

De veinte y dos años era Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Messalemet, hija de Harus de Joreba.

20 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did.

E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre.

21 For hee walked in all the way that his father walked in, and serued the idoles that his father serued, and worshipped them.

Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo: y sirvió a las inmundicias a las cuales había servido su padre, y a ellas adoró.

22 And he forsooke the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.

Y dejó a Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino de Jehová.

23 And the seruantes of Amon conspired against him, and slewe the King in his owne house.

Y conspiraron contra él los siervos de Amón, y mataron al rey en su casa.

24 And the people of the land slewe all them that had conspired against King Amon, and the people made Iosiah his sonne King in his steade.

Y el pueblo de la tierra hirió a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón, y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar a Josías su hijo.

25 Concerning the rest of the actes of Amon, which he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

Lo demás de los hechos de Amón, que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

26 And they buried him in his sepulchre in the garden of Vzza: and Iosiah his sonne reigned in his steade.

Y fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Oza: y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.
