2 Kings 15

1 In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.

En la vingt-septième année de Jéroboam, roi d’Israël, régna Azarias, fils d’Amasias, Juda.

2 Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.

Il avait seize ans lorsqu’il commença à régner, et il régna cinquante-deux ans dans Jérusalem: le nom de sa mère était Jéchélie de Jérusalem.

3 And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

Et il fit ce qui était agréable devant le Seigneur, selon tout ce que fit Amasias, son père.

4 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.

Cependant il ne démolit pas les hauts lieux, et le peuple sacrifiait encore et brûlait de l’encens sur les hauts lieux.

5 And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.

Mais le Seigneur frappa le roi, et il fut lépreux jusqu’au jour de sa mort, et il habitait dans la maison retirée, séparément: cependant Joathan, fils du roi, gouvernait le palais, et jugeait le peuple de la terre.

6 Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

Mais le reste des actions d’Azarias, et tout ce qu’il a fait, n’est-ce pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois de Juda?

7 So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.

Et Azarias dormit avec ses pères, et on l’ensevelit avec ses ancêtres dans la cité de David, et Joathan, son fils, régna en sa place.

8 In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,

En la trente-huitième année d’Azarias, roi de Juda, Zacharie, fils de Jéroboam, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant six mois.

9 And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

Et il fit le mal devant le Seigneur, comme avaient fait ses pères, et il ne s’écarta pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabath, qui fit pécher Israël.

10 And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.

Or Sellum, fils de Jabès, conspira contre lui; il le frappa publiquement, et il le tua; et il régna en sa place.

11 Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Mais le reste des actions de Zacharie n’est-il pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois d’Israël?

12 This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.

Voici la parole du Seigneur qu’il avait dite à Jéhu, disant: Tes enfants jusqu’à la quatrième génération seront assis sur le trône d’Israël. Et il fut fait ainsi.

13 Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.

Sellum, fils de Jabès, régna la trente-neuvième année d’Azarias, roi de Juda; mais il régna un mois seulement à Samarie.

14 For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

Car Manahem, fils de Gadi, monta de Thersa, vint à Samarie, frappa Sellum, fils de Jabès, à Samarie, le tua, et régna en sa place.

15 Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Mais le reste des actions de Sellum, et sa conspiration par laquelle il tendit des embûches, ne sont-ils pas écrits dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois d’Israël?

16 Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.

Ce fut alors que Manahem frappa Thapsa, et tous ceux qui y étaient, et ses confins depuis Thersa; car ses habitants ne lui avaient pas voulu ouvrir les portes; et il en tua toutes les femmes enceintes et les coupa en deux.

17 The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.

En la trente-neuvième année d’Azarias, roi de Juda, Manahem, fils de Gadi, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant dix ans.

18 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

Et il fit le mal devant le Seigneur, et il ne s’écarta pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabath, qui fit pécher Israël durant tous ses jours.

19 Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.

Phul, roi des Assyriens, vint dans la terre d’Israël, et Manahem lui donna mille talents d’argent, afin qu’il le secourût et qu’il affermît son règne.

20 And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.

Et Manahem leva cet argent dans Israël sur tous les puissants et les riches, afin de donner au roi des Assyriens cinquante sicles d’argent par tête: le roi des Assyriens retourna aussitôt, et il ne demeura point dans le pays.

21 Concerning the rest of the actes of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Mais le reste des actions de Manahem, et tout ce qu’il a fait, n’est-ce pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois d’Israël?

22 And Menahem slept with his fathers, and Pekahiah his sonne did reigne in his steade.

Et Manahem dormit avec ses pères, et Phacéia, son fils, régna en sa place.

23 In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.

En la cinquantième année d’Azarias, roi de Juda, Phacéia, fils de Manahem, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant deux ans.

24 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

Et il fit ce qui était mal devant le Seigneur, et il ne s’écarta pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabath, qui fit pécher Israël.

25 And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.

Or Phacée, fils de Romélie, chef de son armée, conspira contre lui, et il le frappa à Samarie dans la tour de la maison royale, près d’Argob et près d’Arié, et avec lui, cinquante hommes d’entre les enfants des Galaadites, et il le tua et régna en sa place.

26 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Mais le reste des actions de Phacéia, et tout ce qu’il a fait, n’est-ce pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois d’Israël?

27 In the two and fiftieth yere of Azariah King of Iudah began Pekah the sonne of Remaliah to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned twentie yeere.

En la cinquante-deuxième année d’Azarias, roi de Juda, Phacée, fils de Romélie, régna sur Israël à Samarie pendant vingt ans.

28 And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.

Et il fit le mal devant le Seigneur, et il ne s’écarta pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabath, qui fit pécher Israël.

29 In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.

Dans les jours de Phacée, roi d’Israël, vint Théglathphalasar, roi des Assyriens, et il prit Aïon, et Abelmaison de Maacha et Janoé, Cédés, Asor, Galaad, la Galilée, et toute la terre de Nephthali, et en transporta les habitants chez les Assyriens.

30 And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.

Mais Osée, fils d’Ela, conspira, tendit des embûches à Phacée, fils de Romélie, le frappa et le tua; et il régna en sa place, la vingtième année de Joathan, fils d’Ozias.

31 Concerning the rest of the actes of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Israel.

Mais le reste des actions de Phacée, et tout ce qu’il a fait, n’est-ce pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des rois d’Israël?

32 In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.

En la seconde année de Phacée, fils de Romélie, roi d’Israël, régna Joatham, fils d’Ozias, roi de Juda.

33 Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.

Il avait vingt-cinq ans lorsqu’il commença à régner, et il régna pendant seize ans dans Jérusalem: le nom de sa mère était Jérusa, fille de Sadoc.

34 And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.

Il fit ce qui était agréable devant le Seigneur, et tout ce qu’Ozias, son père, avait fait.

35 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.

Cependant il n’abolit pas les hauts lieux; car le peuple sacrifiait encore et brûlait de l’encens sur les hauts lieux: ce fut lui qui bâtit la porte de la maison du Seigneur, la plus haute.

36 Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?

Mais le reste des actions de Joatham, et tout ce qu’il a fait, n’est-ce pas écrit dans le Livre des actions des jours des rois de Juda?

37 In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.

En ces jours-là, le Seigneur commença à envoyer contre Juda Rasin, roi de Syrie, et Phacée, fils de Romélie.

38 And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.

Et Joatham dormit avec ses pères; et il fut enseveli avec eux dans la cité de David, son père, et Achaz, son fils, régna en sa place.
