< 2 Kings 10 >

1 Ahab had nowe seuentie sonnes in Samaria. And Iehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria vnto the rulers of Izreel, and to the Elders, and to the bringers vp of Ahabs children, to this effect,
2 Nowe when this letter commeth to you, (for ye haue with you your masters sonnes, yee haue with you both charets and horses, and a defenced citie, and armour)
“Ní kété tí lẹ́tà bá ti dé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí àwọn ọmọ ọ̀gá rẹ wà pẹ̀lú rẹ, ìwọ sì ní àwọn kẹ̀kẹ́ àti àwọn ẹṣin, ìlú olódi kan pẹ̀lú ohun ìjà,
3 Consider therefore which of your masters sonnes is best and most meete, and set him on his fathers throne, and fight for your masters house.
yan èyí tí ó dára àti èyí tí ó níye jùlọ nínú àwọn ọmọkùnrin ọ̀gá à rẹ, kí o sì gbé e lé orí ìtẹ́ baba a rẹ̀. Nígbà náà, kí o sì jà fún ilé ọ̀gá à rẹ.”
4 But they were exceedingly afraid, and saide, Behold two Kings coulde not stande before him, how shall we then stand?
Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀rù bà wọ́n, wọ́n sì wí pé, “Tí ọba méjì kò bá le kojú ìjà sí i, báwo ni a ṣẹ le è ṣe é?”
5 And he that was gouernour of Ahabs house, and he that ruled the citie, and the Elders, and the bringers vp of the children sent to Iehu, saying, We are thy seruants, and will doe all that thou shalt bid vs: we will make no King: do what seemeth good to thee.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ẹni tí ń ṣe olórí ilé, ẹni tí ń ṣe olórí ìlú ńlá, àwọn àgbàgbà àti àwọn olùtọ́jú náà rán iṣẹ́ yìí sí Jehu, pé, “Ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ni àwa jẹ́ pẹ̀lú, àwa yóò ṣe ohunkóhun tí o bá sọ. Àwa kì yóò yan ẹnikẹ́ni gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọba; ìwọ ṣe ohunkóhun tí o rò pé ó dára jù lójú rẹ.”
6 Then he wrote another letter to them, saying, If ye be mine, and wil obey my voyce, take the heads of ye men that are your masters sonnes, and come to me to Izreel by to morowe this time. (Nowe the Kings sonnes, euen seuentie persons were with the great men of the citie, which brought them vp)
Nígbà náà ni Jehu kọ lẹ́tà kejì sí wọn, wí pé, “Tí ìwọ bá wà ní ìhà tèmi, tí o sì pa ọ̀rọ̀ mi mọ́, mú orí àwọn ọmọkùnrin ọ̀gá à rẹ wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ mi ní Jesreeli ní ìwòyí ọ̀la.” Nísinsin yìí, àwọn ọmọ-aládé àádọ́rin ọkùnrin, ń bẹ pẹ̀lú àwọn ènìyàn ńlá ìlú náà tí ń tọ́ wọn.
7 And when the letter came to them, they tooke the Kings sonnes, and slewe the seuentie persons, and layde their heads in baskets, and sent them vnto him to Izreel.
Nígbà tí ìwé náà dé ọ̀dọ̀ wọn, àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí mú gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ọba tí gbogbo wọ́n jẹ́ àádọ́rin wọ́n sì pa gbogbo wọn. Wọ́n gbé orí wọn sí inú apẹ̀rẹ̀, wọ́n fi ránṣẹ́ sí Jehu ní Jesreeli.
8 Then there came a messenger and tolde him, saying, They haue brought the heads of the Kings sonnes. And he sayd, Let them lay them on two heapes at the entring in of the gate vntil the morning.
Nígbà tí ìránṣẹ́ náà dé, ó sọ fún Jehu, “Wọ́n ti gbé orí àwọn ọmọ ọba náà wá.” Nígbà náà Jehu pàṣẹ, “Ẹ tò wọ́n ní òkìtì méjì ní àtiwọ ẹnu ibodè ìlú ńlá títí di òwúrọ̀.”
9 And when it was day, he went out, and stood and sayd to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?
Ní òwúrọ̀ ọjọ́ kejì, Jehu jáde lọ. Ó dúró níwájú gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn, ó sì wí pé, “Ẹ̀yin jẹ́ aláìjẹ̀bi. Èmi ni mo dìtẹ̀ sí ọ̀gá mi, tí mo sì pa á, ṣùgbọ́n ta ni ó pa gbogbo àwọn wọ̀nyí?
10 Knowe nowe that there shall fall vnto the earth nothing of the word of the Lord, which the Lord spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the Lord hath brought to passe the things that hee spake by his seruant Eliiah.
Nígbà yìí, kò sí ọ̀rọ̀ kan tí Olúwa ti sọ sí ilé Ahabu tí yóò kùnà. Olúwa ti ṣe ohun tí ó ṣèlérí nípasẹ̀ ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ Elijah.”
11 So Iehu slew al that remained of the house of Ahab in Izreel, and all that were great with him, and his familiars and his priestes, so that he let none of his remaine.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Jehu pa gbogbo ẹni tí ó kù Jesreeli ní ilé Ahabu, pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú gbogbo àwọn ọkùnrin ìjòyè rẹ̀, àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ̀ tímọ́tímọ́ àti àwọn àlùfáà rẹ̀, láì ku ẹni tí ó yọ nínú ewu fún un.
12 And he arose, and departed and came to Samaria. And as Iehu was in the way by an house where the shepheards did shere,
Jehu jáde lọ, ó sì lọ sí ọ̀kánkán Samaria. Ní Beti-Ekedi tí àwọn olùṣọ́-àgùntàn.
13 He met with the brethre of Ahaziah king of Iudah, and sayd, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah, and goe downe to salute the children of the King and the children of the Queene.
Jehu pàdé díẹ̀ lára àwọn ìbátan Ahasiah ọba Juda, ó sì béèrè, “Ta ni ẹ̀yin ń ṣe?” Wọ́n wí pé, “Àwa jẹ́ ìbátan Ahasiah, àwa sì ti wá láti kí ìdílé ọba àti ti màmá ayaba.”
14 And he sayde, Take them aliue. And they tooke them aliue, and slew them at the well beside the house where the sheepe are shorne, euen two and fourtie men, and he left not one of them.
“Mú wọn láààyè!” ó pàṣẹ. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n mú wọn láààyè, wọ́n sì pa wọ́n ní ẹ̀bá kọ̀nga Beti-Ekedi, ọkùnrin méjìlélógójì. Kò sì fi ẹnìkan sílẹ̀ láìkù.
15 And when he was departed thence, hee met with Iehonadab the sonne of Rechab comming to meete him, and he blessed him, and sayde to him, Is thine heart vpright, as mine heart is towarde thine? And Iehonadab answered, Yea, doubtlesse. Then giue me thine hande. And when he had giuen him his hande, he tooke him vp to him into the charet.
Nígbà tí a sì jáde níbẹ̀, ó rí Jehonadabu ọmọ Rekabu ń bọ̀ wá pàdé rẹ̀, ó sì súre fún un, ó sì wí fún pé, “Ọkàn rẹ ha ṣe déédé bí ọkàn mi ti rí sí ọkàn rẹ?” Jehonadabu dáhùn wí pé, “Èmi wà.” Jehu wí pé, “Bí ó bá jẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀, fún mi ní ọwọ́ ọ̀ rẹ.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó ṣe pẹ̀lú, Jehu sì fà á lọ́wọ́ sókè sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ nínú kẹ̀kẹ́.
16 And he sayde, Come with me, and see the zeale that I haue for the Lord: so they made him ride in his charet.
Jehu wí pé, “Wá pẹ̀lú mi, kí o sì rí ìtara mi fún Olúwa.” Nígbà náà ó jẹ́ kí ó gun kẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀.
17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained vnto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the worde of the Lord, which he spake to Eliiah.
Nígbà tí Jehu wá sí Samaria, ó pa gbogbo àwọn tí a fi kalẹ̀ ní ìdílé Ahabu; ó pa wọ́n run, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tí a sọ sí Elijah.
18 Then Iehu assembled all the people, and sayd vnto them, Ahab serued Baal a litle, but Iehu shall serue him much more.
Nígbà náà, Jehu kó gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn jọ, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ahabu sin Baali díẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n Jehu yóò sìn ín púpọ̀.
19 Now therefore call vnto me all ye prophets of Baal, all his seruants, and all his priests, and let not a man be lacking: for I haue a great sacrifice for Baal: whosoeuer is lacking, he shall not liue. But Iehu did it by a subtiltie to destroy ye seruats of Baal.
Nísinsin yìí, ẹ pe gbogbo àwọn wòlíì Baali jọ fún mi, gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ àti gbogbo àlùfáà rẹ̀, má ṣe jẹ́ kí ọ̀kan kí ó kù, nítorí èmí yóò rú ẹbọ ńlá sí Baali. Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá kọ̀ láti wá, kò ní wà láààyè mọ́.” Ṣùgbọ́n Jehu fi ẹ̀tàn ṣe é, kí ó lè pa àwọn òjíṣẹ́ Baali run.
20 And Iehu sayd, Proclaime a solemne assemblie for Baal. And they proclaimed it.
Jehu wí pé, “ẹ pe àpéjọ ní ìwòyí ọ̀la fún Baali.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n kéde rẹ.
21 So Iehu sent vnto all Israel, and all the seruants of Baal came, and there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal, and the house of Baal was full from ende to ende.
Nígbà náà, Jehu rán ọ̀rọ̀ káàkiri Israẹli, gbogbo àwọn òjíṣẹ́ Baali sì wá: kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó dúró lẹ́yìn. Wọ́n kún ilé tí a kọ́ fún òrìṣà títí tí ó fi kún láti ìkangun èkínní títí dé èkejì.
22 Then he said vnto him that had the charge of the vestrie, Bring forth vestments for al the seruants of Baal. And he brought the out vestments.
Jehu sì sọ fún olùṣọ́ pé, “Kí ó mú aṣọ ìgúnwà wá fún gbogbo àwọn òjíṣẹ́ Baali.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó mú aṣọ ìgúnwà jáde wá fún wọn.
23 And when Iehu went, and Iehonadab the sonne of Rechab into the house of Baal, he sayde vnto the seruants of Baal, Searche diligently, and looke, lest there be here with you any of the seruants of the Lord, but the seruants of Baal only.
Nígbà náà, Jehu àti Jehonadabu ọmọ Rekabu lọ sí inú ilé tí a kọ́ fún òrìṣà Baali. Jehu sì wí fún àwọn òjíṣẹ́ Baali pé, “Wò ó yíká, kí o sì rí i pé kò sí ìránṣẹ́ Olúwa kankan pẹ̀lú yín níbí—kìkì òjíṣẹ́ Baali.”
24 And when they went in to make sacrifice and burnt offering, Iehu appoynted foure score men without, and sayd, If any of the men whome I haue brought into your hands, escape, his soule shalbe for his soule.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n wọ inú ilé lọ láti lọ rú ẹbọ àti ẹbọ sísun. Nísinsin yìí Jehu ti rán ọgọ́rin ọkùnrin sí ìta pẹ̀lú ìkìlọ̀ yìí: “Tí ẹnikẹ́ni nínú yín bá jẹ́ kí ẹnikẹ́ni nínú àwọn ọkùnrin tí mo ń gbé sí ọwọ́ yín ó sálọ, yóò jẹ́ ẹ̀mí yín fún ẹ̀mí rẹ.”
25 And when hee had made an ende of the burnt offring, Iehu sayde to the garde, and to the captaines, Goe in, slay them, let not a man come out. And they smote them with the edge of the sworde. And the garde, and the captaines cast them out, and went vnto the citie, where was the temple of Baal.
Ní kété tí Jehu ti parí ṣíṣe ẹbọ sísun, ó pàṣẹ fún àwọn olùṣọ́ àti àwọn ìjòyè: “Wọlé lọ, kí o sì pa wọ́n, má ṣe jẹ́ kí ẹnikẹ́ni kí ó sálọ.” Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n gé wọn lulẹ̀ pẹ̀lú idà. Àwọn olùṣọ́ àti ìjòyè ju ara wọn síta, wọ́n sì wọ inú ojúbọ ti ilé tí a kọ́ fún òrìṣà Baali.
26 And they brought out the images of the temple of Baal, and burnt them.
Wọ́n gbé òkúta bíbọ náà jáde láti inú ilé tí a kọ́ fún òrìṣà Baali, wọ́n sì jó o.
27 And they destroyed the image of Baal, and threwe downe the house of Baal, and made a iakes of it vnto this day.
Wọ́n fọ́ òkúta bíbọ ti Baali náà túútúú, wọ́n sì ya ilé òrìṣà Baali bolẹ̀. Àwọn ènìyàn sì ń lò ó fún ilé ìgbẹ́ títí di ọjọ́ òní.
28 So Iehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Jehu pa sí sin Baali run ní Israẹli.
29 But from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat which made Israel to sinne, Iehu departed not from them, neither from the golden calues that were in Beth-el and that were in Dan.
Bí ó ti wù kí ó rí, Jehu kò yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu ọmọ Nebati, tí ó ṣokùnfà Israẹli láti dá—ti sí sin ẹgbọrọ màlúù wúrà ní Beteli àti Dani.
30 And the Lord sayde vnto Iehu, Because thou hast diligently executed that which was right in mine eyes, and hast done vnto the house of Ahab according to all things that were in mine heart, therefore shall thy sonnes vnto the fourth generation sit on the throne of Israel.
Olúwa sì sọ fún Jehu pé, “Nítorí ìwọ ti ṣe dáradára ní ṣíṣe èyí tí ó tọ́ ní ojú mi, tí o sì ti ṣe sí ilé Ahabu gẹ́gẹ́ bí gbogbo èyí tí ó wà ní ọkàn mi, àwọn ọmọ ọ̀ rẹ yóò jókòó lórí ìtẹ́ Israẹli títí dé ìran kẹrin.”
31 But Iehu regarded not to walke in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart: for hee departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam, which made Israel to sinne.
Síbẹ̀ Jehu kò ṣe pẹ̀lẹ́ láti pa òfin Olúwa, Ọlọ́run Israẹli mọ́ pẹ̀lú tọkàntọkàn. Òun kò yípadà kúrò nínú ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ Jeroboamu èyí tí ó ṣokùnfà Israẹli láti dá.
32 In those dayes the Lord began to lothe Israel, and Hazael smote them in all the coastes of Israel,
Ní ọjọ́ wọ̀n-ọn-nì, Olúwa ti bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní dín iye Israẹli kù. Hasaeli fi agbára jẹ ọba lórí àwọn ọmọ Israẹli ní gbogbo agbègbè wọn.

35 And Iehu slept with his fathers, and they buryed him in Samaria, and Iehoahaz his sonne reigned in his stead.
