2 Corinthians 13
1 Lo this is the thirde time that I come vnto you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall euery worde stand
Kommer jag tredje gången till eder, så skola uti två eller tre mäns mun alla saker bestå.
2 I tolde you before, and tell you before: as though I had bene present the seconde time, so write I nowe being absent to them which heretofore haue sinned and to all others, that if I come againe, I will not spare,
Jag hafver det sagt eder tillförene, och säger eder det tillförene, såsom närvarandes, i den andra reson; och skrifver det nu frånvarandes, dem som tillförene syndat hafva, och allom dem androm. Om jag åter kommer, skall jag intet skona;
3 Seeing that ye seeke experience of Christ, that speaketh in mee, which towarde you is not weake, but is mightie in you.
Efter I söken att I en gång skolen förnimma honom, som i mig talar, nämliga Christum, hvilken när eder intet svag är, utan är mägtig ibland eder.
4 For though hee was crucified concerning his infirmitie, yet liueth hee through the power of God. And wee no doubt are weake in him, but we shall liue with him, through the power of God towarde you.
Ty ändock han vardt korsfäst i svagheten, så lefver han likväl i Guds kraft; och ändock vi ock äre svage i honom, så lefve vi likväl med honom, uti Guds kraft, när eder.
5 Proue your selues whether ye are in the faith: examine your selues: knowe yee not your owne selues, howe that Iesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Försöker eder sjelfva, om I ären i trone; bepröfver eder sjelfva. Eller kännen I eder icke sjelfva, att Jesus Christus är uti eder? Utan så kunde vara, att I odugelige ären.
6 But I trust that ye shall knowe that wee are not reprobates.
Men jag hoppas, att I väl skolen känna, att vi icke odugelige ärom.
7 Nowe I pray vnto God that yee doe none euill, not that we should seeme approued, but that ye should doe that which is honest: though we be as reprobates.
Och önskar jag af Gudi, att I intet ondt gören; icke på det vi skulle synas dugelige; utan att I skolen göra hvad redeligit är, och vi blifve då som vi odugelige vorom.
8 For wee can not doe any thing against the trueth, but for the trueth.
Ty vi kunnom intet emot sanningene; utan med sanningene.
9 For we are glad when wee are weake, and that ye are strong: this also we wish for, euen your perfection.
Men vi fröjde oss, när vi svage äre, och I mägtige; och det samma önske vi ock, nämliga edor fullkomlighet.
10 Therefore write I these thinges being absent, least when I am present, I should vse sharpenesse, according to the power which the Lord hath giuen mee, to edification, and not to destruction.
Derföre skrifver jag ock detta frånvarandes, på det, då jag är tillstädes, jag icke skall sträng vara, efter den magt som Herren hafver mig gifvit till förbättring, och icke till förderf.
11 Finally brethren, fare ye well: be perfect: be of good comfort: be of one minde: liue in peace, and the God of loue and peace shalbe with you.
På sistone, käre bröder, fröjder eder; varer fullkomne, tröster eder, varer ens sinnade, varer fridsamme; så blifver kärlekens och fridsens Gud när eder.
12 Greete one another with an holy kisse.
Helser eder inbördes med en helig kyss;
13 All the Saintes salute you.
helsa eder all helgon.
14 The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ, and the loue of God, and the communion of the holy Ghost be with you all, Amen. ‘The seconde Epistle to the Corinthians, written from Philippi, a citie in Macedonia, and sent by Titus and Lucas.’
