2 Chronicles 1
1 Then Salomon the sonne of Dauid was confirmed in his kingdome: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him highly.
Salomon, syn Dawida, umocnił się w swoim królestwie, a PAN, jego Bóg, [był] z nim i bardzo go wywyższył.
2 And Salomon spake vnto all Israel, to the captaines of thousandes, and of hundreths, and to the iudges, and to all the gouernours in all Israel, euen the chiefe fathers.
I Salomon przemówił do całego Izraela, do dowódców nad tysiącami, setników i sędziów oraz wszystkich przełożonych nad całym Izraelem, naczelników rodów.
3 So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.
Salomon więc poszedł, a z nim całe zgromadzenie, na wyżynę, która [była] w Gibeonie. Tam bowiem znajdował się Namiot Zgromadzenia Bożego, który sporządził Mojżesz, sługa PANA, na pustyni.
4 But the Arke of God had Dauid brought vp from Kiriath-iearim, when Dauid had made preparation for it: for he had pitched a tent for it in Ierusalem.
Ale arkę Boga przeniósł Dawid z Kiriat-Jearim [na miejsce], które dla niej przygotował, bo rozbił namiot dla niej w Jerozolimie.
5 Moreouer the brasen altar that Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur had made, did hee set before the Tabernacle of the Lord: and Salomon and the Congregation sought it.
A także ołtarz z brązu, który zrobił Besaleel, syn Uriego, syna Chura, znajdował się tam przed przybytkiem PANA. I tam udał się po radę Salomon oraz [całe] zgromadzenie.
6 And Salomon offred there before the Lord vpon the brasen altar that was in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: euen a thousand burnt offrings offred he vpon it.
I Salomon przystąpił przed PANEM do ołtarza z brązu, który [był] przed Namiotem Zgromadzenia, i złożył na nim tysiąc ofiar całopalnych.
7 The same night did God appeare vnto Salomon, and sayde vnto him, Aske what I shall giue thee.
Tej samej nocy Bóg ukazał się Salomonowi i powiedział do niego: Proś, o co [chcesz], a dam tobie.
8 And Salomon sayde vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father and hast made me to reigne in his stead.
Wtedy Salomon powiedział do Boga: Ty okazałeś mojemu ojcu Dawidowi wielkie miłosierdzie i ustanowiłeś mnie królem w jego miejsce.
9 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be true: for thou hast made mee King ouer a great people, like to the dust of the earth.
A teraz, PANIE Boże, niech się spełni twoje słowo, [które powiedziałeś] do mego ojca Dawida, bo uczyniłeś mnie królem nad ludem, który jest tak liczny, jak proch ziemi.
10 Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?
Daj mi więc mądrość i wiedzę, abym wychodził i wchodził przed tym ludem; któż bowiem zdoła sądzić ten twój lud, [który jest] tak wielki?
11 And God sayde to Salomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, treasures nor honour, nor the liues of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked for thee wisdome and knowledge that thou mightest iudge my people, ouer whome I haue made thee King,
Wtedy Bóg powiedział do Salomona: Ponieważ było to w twoim sercu, a nie prosiłeś o bogactwo, majętności i sławę ani o śmierć tych, którzy cię nienawidzą, ani też nie prosiłeś o długie życie, ale prosiłeś dla siebie o mądrość i wiedzę, abyś mógł sądzić mój lud, nad którym ustanowiłem cię królem;
12 Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.
Mądrość i umiejętność będzie ci dana, ponadto dam ci bogactwo, majętności i sławę, jakich nie miał żaden z królów, którzy byli przed tobą, ani nie będzie miał żaden z tych, którzy po tobie nastąpią.
13 Then Salomon came from the hie place, that was at Gibeon, to Ierusalem from before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and reigned ouer Israel.
Salomon wrócił z tej wyżyny, która [była] w Gibeonie, sprzed Namiotu Zgromadzenia, do Jerozolimy i królował nad Izraelem.
14 And Salomon gathered the charets and horesemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome he placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
I Salomon zgromadził rydwany i jeźdźców, tak że miał tysiąc czterysta rydwanów i dwanaście tysięcy jeźdźców, których rozmieścił w miastach rydwanów i przy sobie w Jerozolimie.
15 And the King gaue siluer and gold at Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde figge trees, that are abundantly in the playne.
Król złożył w Jerozolimie złota i srebra, jak kamieni, a cedrów złożył jak sykomor, których na równinie rośnie bardzo dużo.
16 Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the fine linen for a price.
Sprowadzono też dla Salomona konie z Egiptu i nić lnianą, bo kupcy króla nabywali ją za określoną cenę.
17 They came vp also and brought out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer, that is an horse for an hundreth and fiftie: and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites, and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
I wychodzili, i przywozili z Egiptu rydwan za sześćset syklów srebra, a konia za sto pięćdziesiąt. W ten sposób wszyscy królowie chetyccy i królowie Syrii dostawali [je] za ich pośrednictwem.
