2 Chronicles 8
1 And after twentie yeere when Salomon had built the house of the Lord, and his owne house,
Nach Ablauf der zwanzig Jahre aber, während deren Salomo den Tempel des HERRN und seinen Palast erbaut hatte,
2 Then Salomon built the cities that Huram gaue to Salomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
da befestigte Salomo die Städte, die Huram ihm abgetreten hatte, und wies sie Israeliten zum Wohnsitz an.
3 And Salomon went to Hamath Zobah, and ouercame it.
Hierauf zog Salomo gegen Hamath-Zoba und unterwarf es.
4 And he built Tadmor in the wildernesse, and repayred all the cities of store which hee built in Hamath.
Er befestigte auch Thadmor in der Wüste und alle Vorratsstädte, die er in Hamath angelegt hatte.
5 And he built Beth-horon the vpper, and Beth-horon the nether, cities defensed with walles, gates and barres:
Weiter baute er das obere und das untere Beth-Horon zu festen Plätzen mit Mauern, Toren und Torriegeln aus;
6 Also Baalath, and al the cities of store that Salomon had, and all the charet cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and euery pleasant place that Salomon had a minde to builde in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the lande of his dominion.
ebenso Baalath und alle Vorratsstädte, die er besaß, sowie alle Ortschaften, in denen die Kriegswagen und die Reitpferde untergebracht wurden, überhaupt alle Bauten, die Salomo in Jerusalem, auf dem Libanon und im ganzen Bereich seiner Herrschaft auszuführen wünschte.
7 And all the people that were left to ye Hittites, and ye Amorites, and Perizzites, and the Hiuuites, and the Iebusites, which were not of Israel,
Alles, was noch an Nachkommen von den Hethitern, Amoritern, Perissitern, Hewitern und Jebusitern übrig war, die nicht zu den Israeliten gehörten –
8 But of their children which were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel had not consumed, euen them did Salomon make tributaries vntill this day.
die Nachkommen von ihnen, soweit sie im Lande noch übriggeblieben waren, weil die Israeliten sie nicht ausgerottet hatten –, die hob Salomo zum Frondienst aus, und sie sind Fronarbeiter geblieben bis auf den heutigen Tag.
9 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no seruantes for his worke: for they were men of warre, and his chiefe princes, and the captaines of his charets and of his horsemen.
Von den Israeliten dagegen machte Salomo keinen zum Leibeigenen für seine Arbeit, sondern sie dienten im Heer als Kriegsleute, als Befehlshaber und als Obere über seine Kriegswagen und über seine Reiterei. –
10 So these were the chiefe of the officers which Salomon had, euen two hundreth and fiftie that bare rule ouer the people.
Die Zahl der Oberaufseher, die der König Salomo hatte, belief sich auf 250; sie hatten die Leute bei den Arbeiten zu beaufsichtigen. –
11 Then Salomon brought vp the daughter of Pharaoh out of the citie of Dauid, into the house that he had built for her: for he saide, My wife shall not dwel in the house of Dauid King of Israel: for it is holy, because that the Arke of the Lord came vnto it.
Die Tochter des Pharaos aber brachte Salomo aus der Davidsstadt in den Palast hinauf, den er für sie hatte erbauen lassen; denn er sagte: »Es soll keine meiner Frauen im Hause Davids, des Königs von Israel, wohnen; denn das sind heilige Stätten, seitdem die Lade des HERRN in sie eingezogen ist.«
12 Then Salomon offered burnt offrings vnto the Lord, on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porche,
Damals brachte Salomo dem HERRN Brandopfer dar auf dem Altar, den er dem HERRN vor der Vorhalle errichtet hatte,
13 To offer according to the commandement of Moses euery day, in the Sabbaths, and in the newe moones, and in the solemne feastes, three times in the yeere, that is, in the feast of the Vnleauened bread, and in the feast of the Weekes, and in the feast of the Tabernacles.
und zwar so, daß er daselbst das opferte, was nach dem Gebot Moses an jedem Tage erforderlich war: an den Sabbaten, an den Neumonden und dreimal im Jahr an den Festen, nämlich am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote und am Wochenfest und am Laubhüttenfest.
14 And he set the courses of the Priestes to their offices, according to the order of Dauid his father, and the Leuites in their watches, for to praise and minister before the Priestes euery day, and the porters by their courses, at euery gate: for so was the commandement of Dauid the man of God.
Auch bestellte er nach der Anordnung seines Vaters David die Abteilungen der Priester zu ihrem Dienst und die Leviten zu ihren Amtsverrichtungen, so daß sie die Lobgesänge anzustimmen hatten und den Priestern zur Hand gingen, wie jeder einzelne Tag es erforderte; ebenso die Torhüter nach ihren Abteilungen für die einzelnen Tore; denn so bestimmte es der Befehl Davids, des Mannes Gottes;
15 And they declined not from the commandement of the King, concerning the Priests and the Leuites, touching al things, and touching the treasures.
und man wich in keinem Punkt von dem Gebot des Königs in betreff der Priester und der Leviten ab, auch nicht in betreff der Schatzkammern. –
16 Nowe Salomon had made prouision for all the worke, from the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, vntill it was finished: so the house of the Lord was perfite.
So wurde denn das ganze Werk Salomos vom Tage der Grundlegung des Tempels des HERRN an bis zu dessen Vollendung zur Ausführung gebracht, bis der Tempel des HERRN fertig dastand.
17 Then went Salomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth by the sea side in the lande of Edom.
Damals begab sich Salomo nach Ezjon-Geber und nach Eloth an der Küste des (Roten) Meeres im Lande der Edomiter;
18 And Huram sent him by the handes of his seruants, shippes, and seruants that had knowledge of the sea: and they went with the seruants of Salomon to Ophir, and brought thence foure hundreth and fiftie talents of golde, and brought them to King Salomon.
Huram aber sandte ihm durch seine Leute Schiffe und seekundige Leute, die zusammen mit Salomos Leuten nach Ophir fuhren und von dort 450 Talente Gold holten und es dem König Salomo überbrachten.
