2 Chronicles 6
1 Then Salomon sayd, The Lord hath sayde that he would dwell in the darke cloude:
Então disse Salomão: O Senhor tem dito que habitaria nas trevas.
2 And I haue built thee an house to dwell in, an habitation for thee to dwell in for euer.
E eu te tenho edificado uma casa para morada, e um logar para a tua eterna habitação.
3 And the King turned his face, and blessed all the Congregation of Israel (for all the Congregation of Israel stoode there)
Então o rei virou o seu rosto, e abençoou a toda a congregação d'Israel, e toda a congregação d'Israel estava em pé
4 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who spake with his mouth vnto Dauid my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
E elle disse: Bemdito seja o Senhor Deus d'Israel, que fallou pela sua bocca a David meu pae; e pelas suas mãos o cumpriu, dizendo:
5 Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no citie of al the tribes of Israel to buylde an house, that my Name might be there, neyther chose I any man to be a ruler ouer my people Israel:
Desde o dia em que tirei a meu povo da terra do Egypto, não escolhi cidade alguma de todas as tribus d'Israel, para edificar n'ella uma casa em que estivesse o meu nome; nem escolhi homem algum para ser chefe do meu povo, Israel.
6 But I haue chosen Ierusalem, that my Name might be there, and haue chosen Dauid to be ouer my people Israel.
Porém escolhi a Jerusalem, para que ali estivesse o meu nome; e escolhi a David, para que tivesse cargo do meu povo, Israel.
7 And it was in the heart of Dauid my father to builde an house vnto the Name of the Lord God of Israel,
Tambem David meu pae teve no seu coração o edificar uma casa ao nome do Senhor, Deus d'Israel.
8 But the Lord sayde to Dauid my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to buylde an house vnto my Name, thou diddest well, that thou wast so minded.
Porém o Senhor disse a David meu pae: Porquanto tiveste no teu coração o edificar uma casa ao meu nome, bem fizeste, de ter isto no teu coração.
9 Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house, but thy sonne which shall come out of thy loynes, he shall buylde an house vnto my Name.
Comtudo tu não edificarás a casa, mas teu filho, que ha de proceder de teus lombos, esse edificará a casa ao meu nome.
10 And the Lord hath performed his worde that he spake: and I am risen vp in the roume of Dauid my father, and am set on the throne of Israel as the Lord promised, and haue built an house to the Name of the Lord God of Israel.
Assim confirmou o Senhor a sua palavra, que elle fallou; porque eu me levantei em logar de David meu pae, e me assentei sobre o throno d'Israel, como o Senhor disse, e edifiquei a casa ao nome do Senhor, Deus d'Israel.
11 And I haue set the Arke there, wherein is the couenant of the Lord, that he made with the children of Israel.
E puz n'ella a arca, em que está o concerto do Senhor que fez com os filhos d'Israel.
12 And the King stoode before the altar of the Lord, in the presence of all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands,
E poz-se em pé perante o altar do Senhor, defronte de toda a congregação d'Israel, e estendeu as suas mãos.
13 (For Salomon had made a brasen skaffold and set it in the middes of the court, of fiue cubites long, and fiue cubites broade, and three cubites of height, and vpon it he stoode, and kneeled downe vpon his knees before all the Congregation of Israel, and stretched out his hands toward heauen)
Porque Salomão tinha feito uma base de metal, de cinco covados de comprimento, e de cinco covados de largura, e de tres covados d'altura, e a tinha posto no meio do pateo, e poz-se n'ella em pé, e ajoelhou-se de joelhos em presença de toda a congregação d'Israel, e estendeu as suas mãos para o céu
14 And sayd, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in heauen nor in earth, which keepest couenant, and mercie vnto thy seruants, that walke before thee with all their heart.
E disse: Ó Senhor, Deus d'Israel, não ha Deus similhante a ti, nem nos céus nem na terra; que guardas o concerto e a beneficencia aos teus servos que caminham perante ti de todo o seu coração.
15 Thou that hast kept with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him: for thou spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as appeareth this day.
Que guardaste ao teu servo David, meu pae, o que lhe fallaste: porque tu pela tua bocca o disseste, e pela tua mão o cumpriste, como se vê n'este dia.
16 Therefore now Lord God of Israel, keepe with thy seruant Dauid my father, that thou hast promised him, saying, Thou shalt not want a man in my sight, that shall sit vpon the throne of Israel: so that thy sonnes take heede to their wayes, to walke in my Lawe, as thou hast walked before me.
Agora pois, Senhor, Deus d'Israel, guarda ao teu servo David, meu pae, o que fallaste, dizendo: Nunca faltará de ti varão de diante de mim que se assente sobre o throno d'Israel; tão sómente que teus filhos guardem seu caminho, andando na minha lei, como tu andaste diante de mim
17 And now, O Lord God of Israel, let thy worde be verified, which thou spakest vnto thy seruant Dauid.
E agora, Senhor Deus d'Israel, verifique-se a tua palavra, que fallaste ao teu servo, a David.
18 (Is it true in deede that God will dwell with man on earth? beholde, the heauens, and the heauens of heauens are not able to conteine thee: how much more vnable is this house, which I haue buylt?)
Mas verdadeiramente habitará Deus com os homens na terra? eis que os céus e o céu dos céus não te podem conter, quanto menos esta casa que tenho edificado?
19 But haue thou respect to the prayer of thy seruant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to heare the crye and prayer which thy seruant prayeth before thee,
Attende pois á oração do teu servo, e á sua supplica, ó Senhor meu Deus: para ouvires o clamor, e a oração, que o teu servo ora perante ti.
20 That thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, euen toward the place, whereof thou hast sayde, that thou wouldest put thy Name there, that thou mayest hearken vnto the prayer, which thy seruant prayeth in this place.
Que os teus olhos estejam dia e noite abertos sobre este logar, de que disseste que ali porias o teu nome; para ouvires a oração que o teu servo orar n'este logar.
21 Heare thou therefore the supplication of thy seruant, and of thy people Israel, which they pray in this place: and heare thou in the place of thine habitation, euen in heauen, and when thou hearest, be mercifull.
Ouve pois as supplicas do teu servo, e do teu povo Israel, que orarem n'este logar; e ouve tu do logar da tua habitação, desde os céus; ouve pois, e perdoa.
22 When a man shall sinne against his neighbour, and he laye vpon him an othe to cause him to sweare, and the swearer shall come before thine altar in this house,
Quando alguem peccar contra o seu proximo, e lhe impuzer juramento de maldição, para se amaldiçoar a si mesmo, e o juramento de maldição vier perante o teu altar, n'esta casa
23 Then heare thou in heauen, and doe, and iudge thy seruants, in recompensing the wicked to bring his way vpon his head, and in iustifying the righteous, to giue him according to his righteousnes.
Ouve tu então desde os céus, e obra, e julga a teus servos, pagando ao impio, lançando o seu proceder sobre a sua cabeça: e justificando ao justo, dando-lhe segundo a sua justiça.
24 And when thy people Israel shalbe ouerthrowen before the enemie, because they haue sinned against thee, and turne againe, and confesse thy Name, and pray, and make supplication before thee in this house,
Quando tambem o teu povo Israel fôr ferido diante do inimigo, por ter peccado contra ti, e elles se converterem, e confessarem o teu nome, e orarem e supplicarem perante ti n'esta casa,
25 Then heare thou in heauen, and be mercifull vnto the sinne of thy people Israel, and bring them againe vnto the land which thou gauest to them and to their fathers.
Então ouve tu desde os céus, e perdoa os peccados de teu povo Israel; e fal-os tornar á terra que lhes tens dado a elles e a seus paes.
26 When heauen shall be shut vp, and there shalbe no rayne, because they haue sinned against thee, and shall pray in this place, and confesse thy Name, and turne from their sinne, when thou doest afflict them,
Quando os céus se cerrarem, e não houver chuva, por terem peccado contra ti, e orarem n'este logar, e confessarem teu nome, e se converterem dos seus peccados, quando tu os affligires,
27 Then heare thou in heauen, and pardon the sinne of thy seruants, and of thy people Israel (when thou hast taught them the good way wherein they may walke) and giue rayne vpon thy lande, which thou hast giuen vnto thy people for an inheritance.
Então ouve tu desde os céus, e perdoa o peccado de teus servos, e do teu povo Israel, ensinando-lhes o bom caminho, em que andem; e dá chuva sobre a tua terra, que déste ao teu povo em herança.
28 When there shalbe famine in the land, when there shalbe pestilence, blasting, or mildew, when there shall be grashopper, or caterpiller, when their enemie shall besiege them in the cities of their land, or any plague or any sickenesse,
Havendo fome na terra, havendo peste, havendo queimadura dos trigos, ou ferrugem, gafanhotos, ou lagarta, cercando-a algum dos seus inimigos nas terras das suas portas, ou quando houver qualquer praga, ou qualquer enfermidade,
29 Then what prayer and supplication so euer shalbe made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, whe euery one shall knowe his owne plague, and his owne disease, and shall stretch forth his hands toward this house,
Toda a oração, e toda a supplica, que qualquer homem fizer, ou todo o teu povo Israel, conhecendo cada um a sua praga, e a sua dôr, e estender as suas mãos para esta casa,
30 Heare thou then in heauen, thy dwelling place, and be merciful, and giue euery man according vnto all his wayes, as thou doest knowe his heart (for thou onely knowest the hearts of the children of men)
Então ouve tu desde os céus, do assento da tua habitação, e perdoa, e dá a cada um conforme a todos os seus caminhos, segundo conheces o seu coração (pois só tu conheces o coração dos filhos dos homens),
31 That they may feare thee, and walke in thy wayes as long as they liue in the land which thou gauest vnto our fathers.
A fim de que te temam, para andarem nos teus caminhos, todos os dias que viverem na terra que déste a nossos paes.
32 Moreouer, as touching ye stranger which is not of thy people Israel, who shall come out of a farre countrey for thy great Names sake, and thy mighty hande, and thy stretched out arme: when they shall come and pray in this house,
Assim tambem ao estrangeiro, que não fôr do teu povo Israel, mas vier de terras remotas por amor do teu grande nome, e da tua poderosa mão, e do teu braço estendido: vindo elles e orando n'esta casa,
33 Heare thou in heauen thy dwelling place, and doe according to all that the stranger calleth for vnto thee, that all the people of the earth may knowe thy Name, and feare thee like thy people Israel, and that they may knowe, that thy Name is called vpon in this house which I haue built.
Então ouve tu desde os céus, do assento da tua habitação, e faze conforme a tudo o que o estrangeiro te supplicar: a fim de que todos os povos da terra conheçam o teu nome, e te temam, como o teu povo Israel; e afim de saberem que pelo teu nome é chamada esta casa que edifiquei.
34 When thy people shall goe out to battell against their enemies, by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray to thee, in the way towarde this citie, which thou hast chosen, euen toward the house which I haue built to thy Name,
Quando o teu povo sair á guerra contra os seus inimigos, pelo caminho que os enviares, e orarem a ti para a banda d'esta cidade que escolheste, e d'esta casa, que edifiquei ao teu nome;
35 Then heare thou in heauen their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause.
Ouve então desde os céus a sua oração, e a sua supplica, e executa o seu direito.
36 If they sinne against thee (for there is no man that sinneth not) and thou be angry with them and deliuer them vnto the enemies, and they take them and cary them away captiue vnto a land farre or neere,
Quando peccarem contra ti (pois não ha homem que não peque), e tu te indignares contra elles, e os entregares diante do inimigo, para que os que os captivarem os levem em captiveiro para alguma terra, remota ou visinha,
37 If they turne againe to their heart in the lande whither they be caryed in captiues, and turne and pray vnto thee in the lande of their captiuitie, saying, We haue sinned, we haue transgressed and haue done wickedly,
E na terra, para onde forem levados em captiveiro, tornarem em si, e se converterem, e na terra do seu captiveiro, a ti supplicarem, dizendo: Peccámos, perversamente fizemos, e impiamente obrámos;
38 If they turne againe to thee with all their heart, and with all their soule in the land of their captiuitie, whither they haue caryed them captiues, and pray toward their land, which thou gauest vnto their fathers, and toward the citie which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I haue built for thy Name,
E se converterem a ti com todo o seu coração e com toda a sua alma, na terra do seu captiveiro, a que os levaram presos, e orarem para a banda da sua terra, que déste a seus paes, e d'esta cidade que escolheste, e d'esta casa que edifiquei ao teu nome,
39 Then heare thou in heauen, in the place of thine habitation their prayer and their supplication, and iudge their cause, and be mercifull vnto thy people, which haue sinned against thee.
Ouve então desde os céus, do assento da tua habitação, a sua oração e as suas supplicas, e executa o seu direito; e perdoa ao teu povo que houver peccado contra ti.
40 Nowe my God, I beseech thee, let thine eyes be open, and thine eares attent vnto the prayer that is made in this place.
Agora pois, ó meu Deus, estejam os teus olhos abertos, e os teus ouvidos attentos á oração d'este logar.
41 Nowe therefore arise, O Lord God, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength: O Lord God, let thy Priestes be clothed with saluation, and let thy Saints reioyce in goodnesse.
Levanta-te pois agora, Senhor Deus, para o teu repouso, tu e a arca da tua fortaleza: os teus sacerdotes, ó Senhor Deus, sejam vestidos de salvação, e os teus sanctos se alegrem do bem.
42 O Lord God, refuse not the face of thine anoynted: remember the mercies promised to Dauid thy seruant.
Ah! Senhor Deus, não faças virar o rosto do teu ungido: lembra-te das misericordias de David teu servo.
