2 Chronicles 34
1 Iosiah was eight yeere olde when hee began to reigne, and he reigned in Ierusalem one and thirtie yeere.
요시야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 팔세라 예루살렘에서 삼십 일년을 치리하며
2 And he did vprightly in the sight of ye Lord, and walked in the wayes of Dauid his father, and bowed neither to the right hand nor to the left.
여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하여 그 조상 다윗의 길로 행하여 좌우로 치우치지 아니하고
3 And in the eight yeere of his reigne (when he was yet a childe) he began to seeke after the God of Dauid his father: and in the twelft yeere he began to purge Iudah, and Ierusalem from the hie places, and the groues, and the carued images, and molten images:
오히려 어렸을 때 곧 위에 있은지 팔년에 그 조상 다윗의 하나님을 비로소 구하고 그 십 이년에 유다와 예루살렘을 비로소 정결케 하여 그 산당과 아세라 목상들과 아로새긴 우상들과 부어만든 우상들을 제하여 버리매
4 And they brake downe in his sight the altars of Baalim, and hee caused to cut downe the images that were on hie vpon them: he brake also the groues, and the carued images, and the molten images, and stampt them to pouder, and strowed it vpon the graues of them that had sacrificed vnto them.
무리가 왕의 앞에서 바알들의 단을 훼파하였으며 왕이 또 그 단 위에 높이 달린 태양상들을 찍고 또 아세라 목상들과 아로새긴 우상들과 부어 만든 우상들을 빻아 가루를 만들어 거기 제사하던 자들의 무덤에 뿌리고
5 Also he burnt the bones of the Priests vpon their altars, and purged Iudah and Ierusalem.
제사장들의 뼈를 단 위에서 불살라 유다와 예루살렘을 정결케 하였으며
6 And in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, euen vnto Naphtali, with their maules they brake all round about.
또 므낫세와 에브라임과 시므온과 납달리까지 사면 황폐한 성읍들에도 그렇게 행하여
7 And when he had destroyed the altars and the groues, and had broken and stamped to pouder the images, and had cut downe all the idoles throughout all the land of Israel, hee returned to Ierusalem.
단들을 훼파하며 아세라 목상들과 아로새긴 우상들을 빻아 가루를 만들며 온 이스라엘 땅에 있는 모든 태양상을 찍고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
8 Then in the eightenth yere of his reigne, when hee had purged the lande and the Temple, he sent Shaphan the sonne of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the gouernour of the citie, and Ioah the sonne of Ioahaz the recorder, to repaire the house of the Lord his God.
요시야가 위에 있은지 십 팔년에 그 땅과 전을 정결케 하기를 마치고 그 하나님 여호와의 전을 수리하려 하여 아살랴의 아들 사반과 부윤 마아세야와 서기관 요아하스의 아들 요아를 보낸지라
9 And when they came to Hilkiah the hie Priest, they deliuered ye money that was brought into the house of God, which the Leuites that kept the doore, had gathered at the hand of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and of all the residue of Israel, and of all Iudah and Beniamin, and of the inhabitantes of Ierusalem.
저희가 대제사장 힐기야에게 나아가 전에 하나님의 전에 연보한 돈을 저에게 붙이니 이 돈은 문을 지키는 레위 사람이 므낫세와 에브라임과 남아 있는 이스라엘 사람과 온 유다와 베냐민과 예루살렘 거민들에게서 거둔 것이라
10 And they put it in the hands of them that should doe the worke and had the ouersight in the house of the Lord: and they gaue it to the workemen that wrought in the house of ye Lord, to repaire and amend the house.
그 돈을 여호와의 전 역사를 감독하는 자의 손에 붙이니 저희가 여호와의 전에 있는 공장에게 주어 그 전을 수리하게 하되
11 Euen to the workemen and to the builders gaue they it, to bye hewed stone and timber for couples and for beames of the houses, which the Kings of Iudah had destroyed.
곧 목수와 건축하는 자에게 붙여 다듬은 돌과 연접하는 나무를 사며 유다 왕들이 헐어버린 전들을 위하여 들보를 만들게 하매
12 And the men did the worke faithfully, and the ouerseers of them were Iahath and Obadiah the Leuites, of the children of Merari, and Zechariah, and Meshullam, of the children of the Kohathites to set it forward: and of the Leuites all that could skill of instruments of musike.
그 사람들이 진실히 그 일을 하니라 그 감독은 레위 사람 곧 므라리 자손 중 야핫과 오바댜요 그핫 자손 중 스가랴와 무술람이라 다 그 일을 주장하고 또 음악에 익숙한 레위 사람이 함께 하였으며
13 And they were ouer the bearers of burdens, and them that set forwarde all the workemen in euery worke: and of the Leuites were scribes, and officers and porters.
저희가 또 담부하는 자를 관할하며 범백 공장을 동독하고 어떤 레위 사람은 서기와 관리와 문지기가 되었더라
14 And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the Priest found the booke of the Lawe of the Lord giuen by the hand of Moses.
무리가 여호와의 전에 연보한 돈을 꺼낼 때에 제사장 힐기야가 모세의 전한 여호와의 율법책을 발견하고
15 Therefore Hilkiah answered and sayde to Shaphan the chaceler, I haue found the booke of the Law in the house of the Lord: and Hilkiah gaue the booke to Shaphan.
서기관 사반에게 일러 가로되 내가 여호와의 전에서 율법책을 발견하였노라 하고 그 책을 사반에게 주매
16 And Shaphan caried the booke to the King, and brought the King worde againe, saying, All that is committed to the hand of thy seruants, that do they.
사반이 책을 가지고 왕에게 나아가서 복명하여 가로되 왕께서 종들에게 명하신 것을 종들이 다 준행하였나이다
17 For they haue gathered the money that was found in the house of the Lord, and haue deliuered it into the handes of the ouerseers, and to the handes of the workemen.
또 여호와의 전에 있던 돈을 쏟아서 감독자와 공장의 손에 붙였나이다 하고
18 Also Shaphan ye chanceler declared to the King, saying, Hilkiah the Priest hath giuen mee a booke, and Shaphan read it before the King.
서기관 사반이 또 왕에게 고하여 가로되 제사장 힐기야가 내게 책을 주더이다 하고 사반이 왕의 앞에서 읽으매
19 And when the King had heard the wordes of the Lawe, he tare his clothes.
왕이 율법의 말씀을 듣자 곧 자기 옷을 찢더라
20 And the King commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, and Abdon the sonne of Micah, and Shaphan the chanceler, and Asaiah the Kings seruant, saying,
왕이 힐기야와 사반의 아들 아히감과 미가의 아들 압돈과 서기관 사반과 왕의 시신 아사야에게 명하여 가로되
21 Goe and enquire of the Lord for me, and for the rest in Israel and Iudah, concerning the wordes of this booke that is founde: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is fallen vpon vs, because our fathers haue not kept the worde of the Lord, to doe after all that is written in this booke.
너희는 가서 나와 및 이스라엘과 유다의 남은 자를 위하여 이 발견한 책의 말씀에 대하여 여호와께 물으라 우리 열조가 여호와의 말씀을 지키지 아니하고 이 책에 기록된 모든 것을 준행치 아니하였으므로 여호와께서 우리에게 쏟으신 진노가 크도다
22 Then Hilkiah and they that the King had appoynted, went to Huldah the Prophetesse ye wife of Shallum, the sonne of Tokhath, the sonne of Hasrah keeper of the wardrobe (and she dwelt in Ierusalem within the colledge) and they communed hereof with her.
이에 힐기야와 왕의 보낸 사람들이 여선지자 훌다에게로 나아가니 저는 하스라의 손자 독핫의 아들 예복을 주관하는 살룸의 아내라 예루살렘 둘째 구역에 거하였더라 저희가 그에게 이 뜻으로 고하매
23 And shee answered them, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Tell yee the man that sent you to me,
훌다가 저희에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀으로 너희는 너희를 내게 보낸 사람에게 고하기를
24 Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring euill vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitantes thereof, euen all the curses, that are written in the booke which they haue read before the King of Iudah:
여호와의 말씀이 내가 이곳과 그 거민에게 재앙을 내리되 곧 유다 왕 앞에서 읽은 책에 기록된 모든 저주대로 하리니
25 Because they haue forsaken me, and burnt incense vnto other gods, to anger mee with al the workes of their hands, therefore shall my wrath fall vpon this place, and shall not be quenched.
이는 이 백성이 나를 버리고 다른 신에게 분향하며 그 손의 모든 소위로 나의 노를 격발하였음이라 그러므로 나의 노를 이 곳에 쏟으매 꺼지지 아니하리라 하라 하셨느니라
26 But to the King of Iudah, who sent you to enquire of the Lord, so shall ye say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The words which thou hast heard, shall come to passe.
너희를 보내어 여호와께 묻게한 유다 왕에게는 너희가 이렇게 고하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 네가 들은 말을 의논컨대
27 But because thine heart did melt, and thou didest humble thy selfe before God, when thou heardest his wordes against this place and against the inhabitantes thereof, and humbledst thy selfe before mee and tarest thy clothes, and weptest before mee, I haue also heard it, sayth the Lord.
내가 이곳과 그 거민을 가리켜 말한 것을 네가 듣고 마음이 연하여 하나님 앞 곧 내 앞에서 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라
28 Beholde, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt bee put in thy graue in peace, and thine eyes shall not see all the euill, which I will bring vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitants of the same. Thus they brought ye King word againe.
그러므로 내가 너로 너의 열조에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이곳과 그 거민에게 내리는 모든 재앙을 네가 눈으로 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 사자들이 왕에게 복명하니라
29 Then the King sent and gathered all the Elders of Iudah and Ierusalem.
왕이 보내어 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 장로를 불러 모으고
30 And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the Priests and the Leuites, and all the people from the greatest to the smallest, and hee read in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant that was found in the house of the Lord.
이에 여호와의 전에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 거민과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 모든 백성이 무론노소하고 다 함께 한지라 왕이 여호와의 전 안에서 발견한 언약책의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
31 And the King stood by his pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, to walke after the Lord, and to keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soule, and that he would accomplish the wordes of the couenant written in the same booke.
왕이 자기 처소에 서서 여호와 앞에서 언약을 세우되 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 여호와를 순종하고 그 계명과 법도와 율례를 지켜 이 책에 기록된 언약의 말씀을 이루리라 하고
32 And he caused all that were found in Ierusalem, and Beniamin to stande to it: and the inhabitants of Ierusalem did according to the couenant of God, euen the God of their fathers.
예루살렘과 베냐민에 있는 자들로 다 이에 참가하게 하매 예루살렘 거민이 하나님 곧 그 열조의 하나님의 언약을 좇으니라
33 So Iosiah tooke away al the abominations out of all the countreis that perteined to the children of Israel, and compelled all that were found in Israel, to serue the Lord their God: so all his dayes they turned not backe from the Lord God of their fathers.
이와 같이 요시야가 이스라엘 자손에게 속한 모든 땅에서 가증한 것을 다 제하여 버리고 이스라엘의 모든 사람으로 그 하나님 여호와를 섬기게 하였으므로 요시야가 사는 날에 백성이 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께 복종하고 떠나지 아니하였더라
