2 Chronicles 33
1 Manasseh was twelue yeere olde, when he beganne to reigne, and he reigned fiue and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem:
੧ਜਦ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਚਵੰਜਾ ਸਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ
2 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, like the abominations of the heathen, who the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
੨ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ
3 For he went backe and built the hie places, which Hezekiah his father had broken downe: and he set vp altars for Baalim, and made groues, and worshipped all the hoste of the heauen, and serued them.
੩ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਫੇਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੁੰਡ ਦੇਵੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ
4 Also he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had saide, In Ierusalem shall my Name be for euer.
੪ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਨ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ
5 And he built altars for all the hoste of the heauen in the two courtes of the house of the Lord.
੫ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿਹੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ
6 And he caused his sonnes to passe through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom: he gaue him selfe to witchcraft and to charming and to sorcerie, and he vsed them that had familiar spirits, and soothsayers: hee did very much euill in the sight of the Lord to anger him.
੬ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਨ ਹਿੰਨੋਮ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਾਲ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਟੂਣੇ-ਟੋਟਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਭੂਤ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਓ-ਯਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ-ਜੋਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ
7 He put also the carued image, which he had made, in the house of God: whereof God had said to Dauid and to Salomon his sonne, In this house and in Ierusalem, which I haue chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my Name for euer,
੭ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੁੱਤ ਦੀ ਉੱਕਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਮੂਰਤ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ
8 Neither will I make the foote of Israel to remooue any more out of the lande which I haue appointed for your fathers, so that they take heede, and do all that I haue commanded them, according to the Lawe and statutes and iudgements by the hande of Moses.
੮ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਉਸ ਭੂਮੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਲਿਆਰਿਆ ਹੈ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ, ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਏ ਸਨ
9 So Manasseh made Iudah and the inhabitants of Ierusalem to erre, and to doe worse then the heathen, whome the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.
੯ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
10 And the Lord spake to Manasseh and to his people, but they would not regarde.
੧੦ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ
11 Wherefore the Lord brought vpon them the captaines of the hoste of the King of Asshur, which tooke Manasseh and put him in fetters, and bound him in chaines, and caryed him to Babel.
੧੧ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਏ
12 And when he was in tribulation, he prayed to the Lord his God, and humbled him selfe greatly before the God of his fathers,
੧੨ਜਦ ਉਹ ਔਕੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੀਤਾ
13 And prayed vnto him: and God was entreated of him, and heard his prayer, and brought him againe to Ierusalem into his kingdome: then Manasseh knewe that the Lord was God.
੧੩ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਤਰਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ
14 Nowe after this he built a wall without the citie of Dauid, on the Westside of Gihon in the valley, euen at the entrie of the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it very hie, and put captaines of warre in all the strong cities of Iudah.
੧੪ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਈ ਗੀਹੋਨ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਛੀ ਫਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੱਕ ਬਾਹਰ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਧ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਓਫ਼ਲ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਕੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ
15 And he tooke away the strange gods and the image out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Ierusalem, and cast them out of the citie.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ
16 Also he prepared the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings, and of thankes, and commanded Iudah to serue the Lord God of Israel.
੧੬ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ
17 Neuerthelesse the people did sacrifice stil in the hie places, but vnto the Lord their God.
੧੭ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ
18 Concerning the rest of the actes of Manasseh, and his prayer vnto his God, and the words of the Seers, that spake to him in ye Name of the Lord God of Israel, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel.
੧੮ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੈਬਦਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਖੇ ਹਨ।
19 And his prayer and how God was intreated of him, and all his sinne, and his trespasse, and the places wherein he built hie places, and set groues and images (before he was humbled) behold, they are written in the booke of the Seers.
੧੯ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਰਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਟੁੰਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਹ ਹੋਜ਼ਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ
20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his owne house: and Amon his sonne reigned in his stead.
੨੦ਤਾਂ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਮੋਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
21 Amon was two and twentie yeere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned two yeere in Ierusalem.
੨੧ਜਦ ਆਮੋਨ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਉਹ ਬਾਈਆਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ
22 But he did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed to all the images, which Manasseh his father had made, and serued them,
੨੨ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਘੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੱਨਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਆਮੋਨ ਨੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ
23 And he humbled not him selfe before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himselfe: but this Amon trespassed more and more.
੨੩ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹੀ ਆਮੋਨ ਵੱਧ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਗਿਆ
24 And his seruants conspired against him, and slewe him in his owne house.
੨੪ਸੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
25 But the people of the land slewe all them that had conspired against King Amon: and the people of the land made Iosiah his sonne King in his steade.
੨੫ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਮੋਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
