2 Chronicles 32

1 After these things faithfully described, Saneherib King of Asshur came and entred into Iudah, and besieged the strong cities, and thought to winne them for him selfe.

2 When Hezekiah sawe that Saneherib was come, and that his purpose was to fight against Ierusalem,

Idi nakita ni Hezekias nga immay ni Senakerib ket gandatna a rauten ti Jerusalem,

3 Then he tooke counsell with his princes and his nobles, to stoppe the water of the fountaines without the citie: and they did helpe him.

inyumanna kadagiti opisialna ken kadagiti nabibileg a lallaki a serraanda dagiti pagayusan ti danum a rummuar iti siudad; tinulonganda isuna a nangaramid iti dayta.

4 So many of the people assembled themselues, and stopt all the fountaines, and the riuer that ranne through the middes of the countrey, saying, Why should the Kings of Asshur come, and finde much water?

Adu ngarud a tattao ti naguummong ket sinerraanda dagiti amin a pagayusan ti danum ken dagiti waig nga agayus iti tengnga ti daga. Kinunada, “Ta apay koma nga umay dagiti ari ti Asiria ket agbirokda iti nabuslon a danum?”

5 And he tooke courage, and built all the broken wall, and made vp the towers, and another wall without, and repayred Millo in the citie of Dauid, and made many dartes and shields.

Timmured ni Hezekias ket tinarimaanna dagiti amin a narba a pader; nangipatakder isuna kadagiti pagwanawanan, ken kasta met kadagiti sabali pay a pader iti ruar. Pinalagdana met ti Milo iti siudad ni David, ken nagaramid isuna kadagiti adu nga igam ken kalasag.

6 And he set captaines of warre ouer the people, and assembled them to him in the broade place of the gate of the citie, and spake comfortably vnto them, saying,

Nangdutok isuna kadagiti pangulo ti armada a mangidaulo kadagiti tattao. Inummongna amin ida iti plasa iti ruangan ti siudad ket nagsao iti pammabileg kadakuada. Kinunana,

7 Be strong and couragious: feare not, neither be afraide for the King of Asshur, neither for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with vs, then is with him.

“bumileg ken tumuredkayo. Saankayo nga agbuteng wenno maupay gapu iti ari ti Asiria ken kadagiti amin a kakaduana nga armada, ta adda kaduatayo a napigpigsa ngem kadagiti kakaduana.

8 With him is an arme of flesh, but with vs is the Lord our God for to helpe vs, and to fight our battels. Then the people were confirmed by the wordes of Hezekiah King of Iudah.

Ti laeng kaduana ket takiag a lasag, ngem ti kaduatayo ket ni Yahweh, a Diostayo, a mangtulong kadatayo, ken makiranget iti gubattayo.” Ket napatured dagiti tattao babaen kadagiti sasao ni Hezekias, nga ari ti Juda.

9 After this, did Saneherib King of Asshur send his seruants to Ierusalem (while he was against Lachish, and all his dominion with him) vnto Hezekiah King of Iudah and vnto all Iudah that were at Ierusalem, saying,

Kalpasan daytoy, imbaon ni Senakerib nga ari ti Asiria idiay Jerusalem dagiti adipenna ( ita, adda isuna iti sango ti Lakis, ken kaduana dagiti amin nga armadana), a mapanda kenni Hezekias, nga ari ti Juda, ken kadagiti amin a tattao ti Juda nga adda idiay Jerusalem. Kinunana,

10 Thus saith Saneherib the King of Asshur, Wherein doe ye trust, that ye will remaine in Ierusalem, during the siege?

“Kastoy ti kuna ni Senakerib nga ari ti Asiria: 'Ania aya ti pagtaltalkanyo tapno maibturanyo ti pannakalakub ti Jerusalem?

11 Doeth not Hezekiah entice you to giue ouer your selues vnto death by famine and by thirst, saying, The Lord our God shall deliuer vs out of the hande of the King of Asshur?

Saan kadi nga al-allilawennakayo laeng ni Hezekias, tapno iyawatnakayo iti pannakatay babaen iti panagbisin ken uwaw, tunggal ibagana, “Ispalennatayo ni Yahweh manipud iti ima ti ari ti Asiria”?

12 Hath not the same Hezekiah taken away his hie places and his altars, and commanded Iudah and Ierusalem, saying, Ye shall worshippe before one altar, and burne incense vpon it?

Saan kadi a daytoy met laeng a Hezekias ti nangikkat kadagiti pagdaydayawan ken kadagiti altarna, ken binilinna ti Juda ken Jerusalem, “Maysa laeng nga altar ti pagdaydayawanyo, ken ditoy ti pangpuoranyo kadagiti datonyo?”

13 Knowe ye not what I and my fathers haue done vnto all the people of other countreyes? were the gods of the nations of other landes able to deliuer their land out of mine hande?

Saanyo kadi nga ammo ti inaramidko ken dagiti kapuonak kadagiti amin a bunggoy dagiti tattao kadagiti dadduma a daga? Naispal aya dagiti didiosen dagiti tattao kadagiti daga dagiti dagada manipud iti pannakabalinko?

14 Who is he of al the gods of those natios (that my fathers haue destroied) that could deliuer his people out of mine hande? that your God should be able to deliuer you out of mine hand?

Kadagiti amin a didiosen dagidiay nasion a naan-anay a dinadael dagiti kapuonak, adda kadi didiosen a nakaispal kadagiti tattaona manipud kadagiti imak? Kasano koma a maispalnakayo ti Diosyo manipud iti pannakabalinko?

15 Nowe therefore let not Hezekiah deceiue you, nor seduce you after this sort, neither beleeue ye him: for none of all the gods of any nation or kingdome was able to deliuer his people out of mine hande and out of the hande of my fathers: howe much lesse shall your gods deliuer you out of mine hande?

Ita, saanyo nga itulok nga allilawennakayo ni Hezekias wenno allukoyennakayo iti kastoy a wagas. Saanyo a patpatien isuna, ta awan pay didiosen iti uray ania a nasion wenno pagarian ti nakaispal kadagiti tattaona manipud kadagiti imak, wenno manipud kadagiti ima dagiti kapuonak. Kasano pay ngarud a maispalnakayo ti Diosyo manipud kadagiti imak?’”

16 And his seruants spake yet more against the Lord God, and against his seruant Hezekiah.

Nagsao pay dagiti adipen ni Senakerib iti maibusor kenni Yahweh a Dios ken maibusor iti adipenna a ni Hezekias.

17 He wrote also letters, blaspheming the Lord God of Israel and speaking against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other countreies could not deliuer their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliuer his people out of mine hande.

Nagsurat pay ni Senakerib tapno laisenna ni Yahweh, a Dios ti Israel, ken tapno agsao iti maibusor kenkuana. Kinunana, “Kas iti saan a panangispal dagiti didiosen dagiti nasion iti daga kadagiti tattaoda manipud kadagiti imak, kasta met ngarud a saan a maispal ti Dios ni Hezekias dagiti tattaona manipud kadagiti imak.”

18 Then they cryed with a loude voyce in the Iewes speach vnto the people of Ierusalem that were on the wall, to feare them and to astonish them, that they might take the citie.

Impukkawda iti pagsasao a Judio kadagiti tattao iti Jerusalem nga adda iti rabaw ti pader, tapno pagdanagen ken riribukenda ida, iti kasta ket masakupda ti siudad.

19 Thus they spake against the God of Ierusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, euen the workes of mans hands,

Nagsaoda iti Dios ti Jerusalem a kas iti panagsaoda kadagiti didiosen dagiti dadduma a tattao iti daga, nga aramid laeng dagiti ima dagiti tattao.

20 But Hezekiah the King, and the Prophet Isaiah the sonne of Amoz prayed against this and cryed to heauen.

Nagkaragrag da Hezekias nga ari, ken ni profeta Isaias a putot a lalaki ni Amoz, gapu iti daytoy a banag ken immasugda iti langit.

21 And the Lord sent an Angel which destroyed all the valiant men, and the princes and captaines of the hoste of the King of Asshur: so he returned with shame to his owne lande. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came foorth of his owne bowels, slewe him there with the sworde.

Nangibaon ni Yahweh iti anghel a nangpapatay kadagiti mannakiranget a lallaki, kadagiti papangulo ti armada, ken kadagiti opisiales ti ari iti kampo. 22 So the Lord saued Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Ierusalem from the hande of Saneherib King of Asshur, and from the hande of all other, and maintained them on euery side.

Iti kastoy a wagas, insalakan ni Yahweh ni Hezekias ken dagiti agnanaed iti Jerusalem manipud iti ima ni Senakerib, nga ari ti Asiria, ken manipud iti ima dagiti dadduma, ken indalanna ida iti amin a wagas.

23 And many brought offrings vnto the Lord to Ierusalem, and presents to Hezekiah King of Iudah, so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thencefoorth.

Adu ti nangiyeg kadagiti sagut kenni Yahweh idiay Jerusalem ken kadagiti napapateg a banag kenni Hezekias, nga ari ti Juda, isu a mararaem isuna iti imatang dagiti amin a nasion manipud iti dayta a tiempo aginggana iti masakbayan.

24 In those dayes Hezekiah was sicke vnto the death, and prayed vnto the Lord, who spake vnto him, and gaue him a signe.

Kadagidi a tiempo, nagsakit ni Hezekias nga urayla dandanin a matay. Nagkararag isuna kenni Yahweh, a nagsao kenkuana ken nangted iti pagilasinan nga umimbag isuna.

25 But Hezekiah did not render according to the rewarde bestowed vpon him: for his heart was lift vp, and wrath came vpon him, and vpon Iudah and Ierusalem.

Ngem saan a sinubadan ni Hezekias ti panangtulong kenkuana ni Yahweh, gapu ta timmangsit isuna. Immay ngarud ti pungtot kenkuana, iti Juda ken Jerusalem.

26 Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled him selfe (after that his heart was lifted vp) he and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the wrath of the Lord came not vpon them in the dayes of Hezekiah.

Nupay kasta, iti saan a nagbayag ket impakumbaba ni Hezekias ti natangsit a pusona, isuna ken dagiti agnanaed iti Jerusalem, isu a saan nga immay ti pungtot ni Yahweh kadakuada iti tiempo ni Hezekias.

27 Hezekiah also had exceeding much riches and honour, and he gate him treasures of siluer, and of golde, and of precious stones, and of sweete odours, and of shieldes, and of all pleasant vessels:

Addaan ni Hezekias iti adu a kinabaknang ken mararaem iti kasta unay. Nagpaaramid isuna kadagiti pagidulinan kadagiti pirak, balitok, agkakapateg a bato, bangbanglo, kasta met kadagiti kalasag ken kadagiti amin a kita dagiti napapateg nga alikamen.

28 And of store houses for the increase of wheat and wine and oyle, and stalles for all beasts, and rowes for the stables.

Addaan pay isuna kadagiti siled a pagidulinan kadagiti naapit a trigo, baro nga arak, ken lana; ken kadagiti koral a para iti amin a kita ti ayup; addaan met isuna iti arban ti ayup kadagiti kulonganda.

29 And he made him cities, and had possession of sheepe and oxen in abundance: for God had giuen him substance exceeding much.

Malaksid kadagitoy, nangipasdek isuna kadagiti siudad a para kadagiti adu unay nga arban ti karnero ken adu unay a dingwen, gapu ta pinabaknang unay isuna ti Dios.

30 This same Hezekiah also stopped the vpper water springs of Gihon, and led them streight vnderneath towarde the citie of Dauid Westwarde. so Hezekiah prospered in all his workes.

Ni Hezekias met laeng ti nangserra iti ubbog ti Gihon ken nangiturong kadagitoy iti daya a paset ti siudad ni David. Nagballigi ni Hezikias iti amin a proyektona.

31 But because of the ambassadours of the princes of Babel, which sent vnto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the lande, God left him to trie him, and to knowe all that was in his heart.

Nupay kasta, iti biang dagiti mangibagbagi kadagiti prinsepe iti Babilonia, nga imbaonda a mapan kenkuana tapno agsaludsod kadagiti makaammo maipanggep kadagiti nakaskasdaaw a pagilasinan a mapaspasamak iti dayta a daga, pinalubosan ti Dios nga aramiden ni Hezekias ti kaykayatna, tapno suotenna isuna, ken tapno ammoenna amin a linaon ti pusona.

32 Concerning the rest of the actes of Hezekiah, and his goodnesse, beholde, they are written in the vision of Ishiah the Prophet, the sonne of Amoz, in the booke of the Kings of Iudah and Israel.

33 So Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him in the highest sepulchre of the sonnes of Dauid: and all Iudah and the inhabitants of Ierusalem did him honour at his death: and Manasseh his sonne reigned in his stead.
