2 Chronicles 31
1 And when all these thinges were finished, all Israel that were found in the cities of Iudah, went out and brake the images, and cut downe the groues, and brake downe the hie places, and the altars thorowout all Iudah and Beniamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, vntil they had made an ende: afterwarde all the children of Israel returned euery man to his possession, into their owne cities.
Als dies alles beendet war, zog ganz Israel, das sich eingefunden, nach den Städten Judas, zertrümmerte die Steinmale, fällte die Ascheren und zerstörte die Höhen und Altäre in ganz Juda und Benjamin, Ephraim und Manasse, bis sie vernichtet waren. Dann kehrten alle Israeliten heim, jeder in seinen Erbsitz, in ihre Städte.
2 And Hezekiah appoynted the courses of the Priests and Leuites by their turnes, euery man according to his office, both Priestes and Leuites, for the burnt offring and peace offrings, to minister and to giue thankes, and to prayse in the gates of the tentes of the Lord.
Ezechias aber bestellte die Abteilungen der Priester und Leviten, für Brand- und Mahlopfer, um Dienste zu tun, zu danken und zu loben in den Toren als Dienst für den Herrn.
3 (And the Kings portion was of his owne substance for the burnt offrings, euen for ye burnt offrings of the morning and of the euening, and the burnt offrings for the Sabbaths, and for the new moones, and for the solemne feastes, as it is written in the Law of the Lord)
Des Königs Beitrag aus seinem Besitz diente für Brandopfer, für Morgen- und Abendbrandopfer und für Brandopfer an den Sabbaten, Neumonden und Festen nach der Vorschrift in der Lehre des Herrn.
4 He commanded also the people that dwelt in Ierusalem, to giue a part to the Priestes, and Leuites, that they might be encouraged in the Law of the Lord.
Er gebot auch dem Volke, den Bewohnern Jerusalems, ihren Teil den Priestern und Leviten zu geben, damit sie festhielten an der Lehre des Herrn.
5 And when the commandement was spread, the children of Israel brought abundance of first fruites, of corne, wine, and oyle, and honie, and of all the increase of the fielde, and the tithes of all things brought they abundantly.
Als dies bekannt wurde, brachten die Israeliten den ersten Abhub von Getreide, Most, Öl, Honig und allem Feldertrag. Sie brachten den Zehnten von allem in Fülle.
6 And the children of Israel and Iudah that dwelt in ye cities of Iudah, they also brought the tithes of bullockes and sheepe, and the holy tithes which were consecrate vnto the Lord their God, and laide them on many heapes.
Die Söhne Israels wie die Judas, die in anderen Städten Judas wohnten, brachten den Zehnten von Rindern und Schafen sowie den Zehnten der Weihegaben, die dem Herrn, ihrem Gott, geweiht wurden. Sie gaben es haufenweise.
7 In the thirde moneth they beganne to lay the foundation of the heapes, and finished them in the seuenth moneth.
im dritten Monat begannen sie die Haufen zu legen, und erst im siebten Monat waren sie damit fertig geworden.
8 And when Hezekiah and the princes came, and saw the heapes, they blessed the Lord and his people Israel.
Da kam Ezechias mit den Fürsten und besah die Haufen. Da priesen sie den Herrn und sein Volk Israel.
9 And Hezekiah questioned with the Priests and the Leuites concerning the heapes.
Ezechias befragte nun die Priester und Leviten über die Haufen.
10 And Azariah the chiefe Priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and sayde, Since the people beganne to bring the offrings into the house of the Lord, we haue eaten and haue bene satisfied, and there is left in abundance: for the Lord hath blessed his people, and this abundance that is left.
Da sprach zu ihm der Priester Azarja, das Oberhaupt des Hauses Sadok. Er sagte: "Seit man anfing, die Gabe in das Haus des Herrn zu bringen, haben wir gegessen und sind satt geworden, und viel ist noch übriggeblieben. Denn der Herr hat sein Volk gesegnet, und so ist diese Masse übrig."
11 And Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the Lord: and they prepared them,
Da ließ Ezechias im Hause des Herrn Zellen herrichten. Als man sie hergerichtet hatte,
12 And caryed in the first fruites, and the tithes, and the dedicate things faithfully: and ouer them was Conaniah the Leuite, the chiefe, and Shimei his brother the seconde.
brachte man die Gabe getreulich hinein, den Zehnten und die Weihegaben. Der Levite Konanjahu führte darüber die Aufsicht, und sein Bruder Simei war der zweite im Range.
13 And Iehiel, and Azariah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Ierimoth, and Iozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah were ouerseers by the appointment of Conaniah, and Shimei his brother, and by the commandement of Hezekiah the King, and of Azariah the chiefe of the house of God.
Jechiel, Azazjahu, Nachat, Asael, Jerimot, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismakjahu, Machat und Benajahu waren Gehilfen des Konanjahu und seines Bruders Simei laut Anordnung des Königs Ezechias und Azarjahus, des Fürsten im Gotteshause.
14 And Kore the sonne of Imnah the Leuite porter towarde the East, was ouer the things that were willingly offred vnto God, to distribute the oblations of the Lord, and the holy things that were consecrate.
Kore, Imnas Sohn, der Levite und Torhüter gen Osten, beaufsichtigte die freiwilligen Gottesgaben, um die Gabe für den Herrn und die hochheiligen Gaben abliefern zu können.
15 And at his hande were Eden, and Miniamin, and Ieshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shechaniah, in the cities of the Priestes, to distribute with fidelitie to their brethren by courses, both to the great and small,
Unter seiner Aufsicht standen Eden, Minjamin, Jesua, Semajahu, Amarjahu und Sekanjahu. Sie sollten in den Priesterstädten gewissenhaft ihren Brüdern ihren Teil geben, abteilungsweise, den Alten und den Jungen.
16 Their daily portion: beside their generation being males from three yeere olde and aboue, euen to all that entred into the house of the Lord to their office in their charge, according to their courses:
Außerdem trug man in das Geschlechtsregister die Mannspersonen ein, von den dreijährigen und darüber, alle, die zum Hause des Herrn kamen zu ihrem täglichen Dienste, je nach ihren Ämtern und Abteilungen.
17 Both to the generation of the Priestes after the house of their fathers, and to the Leuites from twentie yeere olde and aboue, according to their charge in their courses:
Auch die Priester trug man in das Geschlechtsregister ein nach ihren Stammhäusern, ebenso die Leviten, von den Zwanzigjährigen an und darüber, nach ihren Ämtern und Abteilungen.
18 And to the generation of all their children, their wiues, and their sonnes and their daughters throughout all ye Congregation: for by their fidelitie are they partakers of the holy things.
Man verzeichnete sie dabei mit all ihren kleinen Kindern, Weibern, Söhnen und Töchtern in jeder Gemeinde. Denn diese wurden durch das lebenslängliche Amt jener geheiligt.
19 Also to the sonnes of Aaron, the Priestes, which were in the fieldes and suburbes of their cities, in euery citie the men that were appointed by names, shoulde giue portions to all the males of the Priestes, and to all the generation of the Leuites.
Die Aaronssöhne, die Priester, hatten auf den Feldern der Weidetriften ihrer Städte für jede Stadt Leute, die mit Namen genannt waren. Sie mußten jedem Männlichen unter den Priestern seinen Teil geben, ebenso jedem eingetragenen Leviten.
20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout al Iudah, and did well, and vprightly, and truely before the Lord his God.
So tat Ezechias in ganz Juda. Er tat das Gute, Rechte und Wahre vor dem Herrn, seinem Gott.
21 And in all the workes that he began for the seruice of the house of God, both in the Law and in the commandements, to seeke his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
Bei allem Tun, das er für den Dienst am Gotteshaus, für die Lehre und das Gebot, seinen Gott zu suchen, unternahm, verfuhr er mit ganzem Herzen und hatte Glück dabei.
