2 Chronicles 30
1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel, and Iudah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Ierusalem, to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel.
Hierauf sandte Hiskia Boten an ganz Israel und Juda und schrieb auch Briefe an Ephraim und Manasse, sie möchten zum Hause des HERRN in Jerusalem kommen, um dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, eine Passahfeier zu veranstalten.
2 And the King and his princes and all the Congregation had taken counsel in Ierusalem to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth.
Der König und seine Fürsten nebst der ganzen Volksgemeinde in Jerusalem hatten sich aber entschlossen, das Passah erst im zweiten Monat zu feiern;
3 For they could not keepe it at this time, because there were not Priests enow sanctified, neither was the people gathered to Ierusalem.
denn sie konnten es damals nicht sogleich feiern, weil die Priester sich noch nicht in hinreichender Anzahl dazu geheiligt hatten und das Volk noch nicht in Jerusalem versammelt war.
4 And the thing pleased the King, and all the Congregation.
Als dieser Beschluß die Zustimmung des Königs und der ganzen Volksgemeinde gefunden hatte,
5 And they decreed to make proclamation throughout all Israel from Beersheba euen to Dan, that they should come to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel at Ierusalem: for they had not done it of a great time, as it was written.
faßten sie weiter den Beschluß, einen Aufruf in ganz Israel von Beerseba bis Dan ergehen zu lassen, man möge kommen, um dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, das Passah in Jerusalem zu feiern; denn man hatte es seit langer Zeit bei so zahlreicher Beteiligung nicht so gefeiert, wie es vorgeschrieben war.
6 So the postes went with letters by the commission of the King, and his princes, thorowout all Israel and Iudah, and with the commandement of the King, saying, Ye children of Israel, turne againe vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Izhak, and Israel, and he will returne to the remnant that are escaped of you, out of ye hands of the Kings of Asshur.
So zogen denn die Eilboten mit den Briefen von der Hand des Königs und seiner höchsten Beamten in ganz Israel und Juda umher und verkündeten nach dem Befehle des Königs: »Ihr Israeliten! Kehrt zum HERRN, dem Gott Abrahams, Isaaks und Israels, zurück, damit er sich denen wieder zuwendet, die der Gewalt der Könige von Assyrien entronnen und euch noch übriggeblieben sind;
7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers: and therfore he made them desolate, as ye see.
und macht es nicht wie eure Väter und eure Volksgenossen, die treulos gegen den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, gehandelt haben, so daß er sie der Vernichtung preisgegeben hat, wie ihr es seht!
8 Be not ye now stiffenecked like your fathers, but giue the hand to the Lord, and come into his sanctuarie, which he hath sanctified for euer, and serue the Lord your God, and the fiercenesse of his wrath shall turne away from you.
Zeigt euch also jetzt nicht halsstarrig wie eure Väter, sondern reicht dem HERRN die Hand und kommt zu seinem Heiligtum, das er auf ewig geheiligt hat, und dient dem HERRN, eurem Gott, damit die Glut seines Zornes sich von euch abwendet!
9 For if ye returne vnto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall finde mercy before them that led them captiues, and they shall returne vnto this lande: for the Lord your God is gracious and mercifull, and will not turne away his face from you, if ye conuert vnto him.
Denn wenn ihr zum HERRN umkehrt, so werden eure Brüder und eure Kinder Erbarmen bei denen finden, die sie in die Gefangenschaft weggeführt haben, so daß sie in dieses Land zurückkehren können; denn der HERR, euer Gott, ist gnädig und barmherzig und wird sein Angesicht nicht von euch wegwenden, wenn ihr zu ihm zurückkehrt!« –
10 So the postes went from citie to citie thorow the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, euen vnto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorne, and mocked them.
So zogen denn die Eilboten von Stadt zu Stadt durch das Land Ephraim und Manasse und bis nach Sebulon, aber man verspottete und verhöhnte sie;
11 Neuerthelesse diuers of Asher, and Manasseh, and of Zebulun submitted themselues, and came to Ierusalem.
nur einige Männer aus Asser, Manasse und Sebulon gingen in sich und kamen nach Jerusalem.
12 And the hand of God was in Iudah, so that he gaue them one heart to doe the commandement of the King, and of the rulers, according to the worde of the Lord.
Auch in Juda zeigte sich die Einwirkung Gottes dadurch, daß er ihnen einen einmütigen Sinn verlieh, um der Aufforderung des Königs und seiner obersten Beamten nach der Weisung des HERRN nachzukommen.
13 And there assembled to Ierusalem much people, to keepe the feast of ye vnleauened bread in the second moneth, a very great assemblie.
So versammelte sich denn eine große Volksmenge in Jerusalem, um das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote im zweiten Monat zu feiern, eine überaus zahlreiche Volksgemeinde.
14 And they arose, and tooke away the altars that were in Ierusalem: and all those for incense tooke they away, and cast them into the brooke Kidron.
Sie machten sich zunächst daran, die Altäre, die sich in Jerusalem befanden, wegzuschaffen; ebenso beseitigten sie alle Rauchopferstätten und warfen sie in den Bach Kidron.
15 Afterwarde they slewe the Passeouer the fourteenth day of the seconde moneth: and the Priestes and Leuites were ashamed, and sanctified themselues, and brought the burnt offrings into the house of the Lord.
Sodann schlachteten sie das Passah am vierzehnten Tage des zweiten Monats; denn die Priester und die Leviten fühlten sich beschämt und hatten sich geheiligt und brachten nun Brandopfer zum Tempel des HERRN;
16 And they stoode in their place after their maner, according to the Lawe of Moses the man of God: and the Priestes sprinkled the blood, receiued of the handes of the Leuites.
sie versahen ihre Amtsgeschäfte pflichtgemäß, wie es ihnen nach dem Gesetz Moses, des Mannes Gottes, oblag: die Priester sprengten das Blut, das sie aus der Hand der Leviten genommen hatten.
17 Because there were many in the Congregation that were not sanctified, therefore the Leuites had the charge of the killing of ye Passeouer for all that were not cleane, to sanctifie it to the Lord.
Es gab nämlich viele unter den Versammelten, die sich nicht geheiligt hatten; daher besorgten die Leviten das Schlachten der Passahlämmer für einen jeden, der nicht rein war, um sie dem HERRN zu weihen.
18 For a multitude of the people, euen a multitude of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not cleansed themselues, yet did eate the Passeouer, but not as it was written: wherefore Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord be mercifull toward him,
Ja, die Mehrzahl des Volkes, viele aus Ephraim und Manasse, Issaschar und Sebulon, hatten sich nicht gereinigt, sondern aßen das Passah nicht in der vorgeschriebenen Weise. Doch Hiskia hatte für sie gebetet mit den Worten: »Der HERR, der Gütige, wolle einem jeden verzeihen,
19 That prepareth his whole heart to seeke the Lord God, the God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed, according to the purification of the Sanctuarie.
der ernstlich darauf bedacht ist, Gott den HERRN, den Gott seiner Väter, zu suchen, wenn auch nicht gemäß der für das Heiligtum erforderlichen Reinheit!«
20 And the Lord heard Hezekiah, and healed the people.
Und der HERR erhörte Hiskia und ließ das Volk unversehrt.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Ierusalem, kept the feast of the vnleauened bread seuen dayes with great ioye, and the Leuites, and the Priestes praysed the Lord, day by day, singing with loude instruments vnto the Lord.
So feierten denn die Israeliten, die sich in Jerusalem eingefunden hatten, das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sieben Tage lang mit großer Freude, und die Leviten und die Priester sangen dem HERRN Tag für Tag Loblieder unter Begleitung der Musikinstrumente.
22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites that had good knowledge to sing vnto the Lord: and they did eate in that feast seuen dayes, and offred peace offrings, and praysed the Lord God of their fathers.
Dabei richtete Hiskia freundliche Worte an alle Leviten, welche richtiges Verständnis für den Dienst des HERRN bewiesen; und man hielt Festmahle die sieben Tage hindurch, indem sie Heilsopfer darbrachten und den HERRN, den Gott ihrer Väter, priesen.
23 And the whole assembly tooke counsel to keepe it other seuen dayes. So they kept it seuen dayes with ioy.
Darauf entschloß sich die ganze Volksgemeinde, noch weitere sieben Tage zu feiern; und so begingen sie noch sieben Tage lang ein Freudenfest.
24 For Hezekiah King of Iudah had giuen to the Congregation a thousande bullockes, and seuen thousand sheepe. And the princes had giuen to the Congregation a thousand bullocks, and ten thousand sheepe: and many Priests were sanctified.
Denn Hiskia, der König von Juda, hatte der Volksgemeinde tausend Stiere und siebentausend Stück Kleinvieh als Spende überwiesen, und die Fürsten hatten gleichfalls tausend Stiere und zehntausend Stück Kleinvieh gespendet; und die Priester hatten sich in großer Zahl geheiligt.
25 And all the Congregation of Iudah reioyced with the Priestes and the Leuites, and all the Congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Iudah.
So überließ sich denn die ganze Volksgemeinde Judas der Fröhlichkeit und ebenso die Priester und die Leviten und die ganze Menge derer, die aus Israel gekommen waren, auch die Fremdlinge, die aus den verschiedensten Gegenden Israels gekommen waren oder in Juda wohnten.
26 So there was great ioye in Ierusalem: for since the time of Salomon the sonne of Dauid King of Israel there was not the like thing in Ierusalem.
Und es herrschte große Freude in Jerusalem; denn seit den Tagen Salomos, des Sohnes Davids, des Königs von Israel, war etwas Derartiges in Jerusalem nicht vorgekommen.
27 Then the Priests and the Leuites arose, and blessed the people, and their voyce was heard, and their prayer came vp vnto heauen, to his holy habitation.
Die levitischen Priester aber erhoben sich und segneten das Volk, und ihre laute Bitte fand Erhörung: ihr Gebet drang zu seiner heiligen Wohnung, in den Himmel.
