2 Chronicles 30

1 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel, and Iudah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Ierusalem, to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel.

১ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিস্তারপর্ব্ব পালন করবার জন্য লোকেরা যাতে যিরূশালেমে সদাপ্রভুর ঘরে আসে সেইজন্য হিষ্কিয় সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলে ও যিহূদায় খবর পাঠালেন এবং ইফ্রয়িম ও মনঃশি-গোষ্ঠীর লোকদের চিঠি লিখলেন।

2 And the King and his princes and all the Congregation had taken counsel in Ierusalem to keepe the Passeouer in the second moneth.

২কারণ রাজা ও তাঁর কর্মচারীরা এবং যিরূশালেমের সমস্ত লোক ঠিক করল যে, দ্বিতীয় মাসে নিস্তারপর্ব্ব পালন করা হবে।

3 For they could not keepe it at this time, because there were not Priests enow sanctified, neither was the people gathered to Ierusalem.

৩এর কারণ হল, অনেক যাজক নিজেদের শুচি করেন নি আর লোকেরাও এসে যিরূশালেমে জড়ো হয়নি বলে নিয়মিত দিনের তারা এটা পালন করতে পারে নি।

4 And the thing pleased the King, and all the Congregation.

৪এই পরিকল্পনা রাজা ও সমস্ত জনতার কাছে উপযুক্ত বলে মনে হল।

5 And they decreed to make proclamation throughout all Israel from Beersheba euen to Dan, that they should come to keepe the Passeouer vnto the Lord God of Israel at Ierusalem: for they had not done it of a great time, as it was written.

৫ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে নিস্তারপর্ব্ব পালন করবার জন্য যাতে সবাই যিরূশালেমে আসে সেইজন্য তারা বের-শেবা থেকে দান পর্যন্ত ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত জায়গায় লোক পাঠিয়ে ঘোষণা করল। অনেক বছর ধরে তারা নিয়ম অনুসারে অনেক লোক একত্র হয়ে এই পর্ব পালন করে নি।

6 So the postes went with letters by the commission of the King, and his princes, thorowout all Israel and Iudah, and with the commandement of the King, saying, Ye children of Israel, turne againe vnto the Lord God of Abraham, Izhak, and Israel, and he will returne to the remnant that are escaped of you, out of ye hands of the Kings of Asshur.

৬রাজার আদেশে রাজা ও তাঁর কর্মচারীদের কাছ থেকে চিঠি নিয়ে লোকেরা ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার সব জায়গায় গিয়ে এই কথা ঘোষণা করল, “হে ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা, আপনারা অব্রাহাম, ইস্‌হাক ও ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর কাছে ফিরে আসুন, তাতে যাঁরা অশূরের রাজার হাত থেকে রক্ষা পেয়েছেন তাঁদের কাছে, অর্থাৎ তোমাদের কাছে তিনিও ফিরে আসবেন।

7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers: and therfore he made them desolate, as ye see.

৭তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ ও ভাইদের মত হয়ো না। কারণ নিজের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর প্রতি অবিশ্বস্ত হয়েছিল বলে তিনি তাদের ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলেন। তোমরা যেমন দেখতে পাচ্ছ।

8 Be not ye now stiffenecked like your fathers, but giue the hand to the Lord, and come into his sanctuarie, which he hath sanctified for euer, and serue the Lord your God, and the fiercenesse of his wrath shall turne away from you.

৮তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের মত অবাধ্য হয়ো না কিন্তু সদাপ্রভুর হাতে নিজেদের দিয়ে দাও এবং তাঁর পবিত্র জায়গা এস, যে পবিত্র ঘরকে তিনি চিরকালের জন্য নিজের উদ্দেশ্যে আলাদা করেছেন এবং তোমাদের নিজেদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সেবা কর যাতে তোমাদের উপর থেকে তাঁর সেই ভয়ঙ্কর ক্রোধ চলে যায়।

9 For if ye returne vnto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall finde mercy before them that led them captiues, and they shall returne vnto this lande: for the Lord your God is gracious and mercifull, and will not turne away his face from you, if ye conuert vnto him.

৯কারণ তোমরা যদি সদাপ্রভুর কাছে আবার ফিরে আস তবে তোমাদের ভাই ও ছেলে মেয়েদের যারা বন্দী করে রেখেছে তারা তাদের প্রতি দয়া দেখাবে। তখন তারা এই দেশে ফিরে আসতে পারবে, কারণ তোমাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু দয়াময় ও করুণাময়। তোমরা যদি তাঁর কাছে ফিরে আসো তাহলে তিনি তাঁর মুখ ফিরিয়ে রাখবেন না।”

10 So the postes went from citie to citie thorow the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, euen vnto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorne, and mocked them.

১০সংবাদ বহনকারীরা ইফ্রয়িম ও মনঃশির সমস্ত গ্রাম ও শহরে এবং সবূলূন পর্যন্ত গেল, কিন্তু সেখানকার লোকেরা তাদের প্রতি ঠাট্টা ও বিদ্রূপ করতে লাগল।

11 Neuerthelesse diuers of Asher, and Manasseh, and of Zebulun submitted themselues, and came to Ierusalem.

১১তবুও আশের, মনঃশি ও সবূলূন গোষ্ঠীর কিছু লোক নিজেদের নম্র করে যিরূশালেমে এলো।

12 And the hand of God was in Iudah, so that he gaue them one heart to doe the commandement of the King, and of the rulers, according to the worde of the Lord.

১২ঈশ্বরের হাত যিহূদার লোকদের উপরে আসলো, তাই সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য অনুযায়ী রাজা ও তাঁর কর্মচারীদের আদেশ পালন করবার জন্য তিনি তাদের মন এক করলেন।

13 And there assembled to Ierusalem much people, to keepe the feast of ye vnleauened bread in the second moneth, a very great assemblie.

১৩দ্বিতীয় মাসে তাড়ীশূন্য রুটির পর্ব পালন করবার জন্য অনেক লোক, এক মহাজনতা যিরূশালেমে জড়ো হল।

14 And they arose, and tooke away the altars that were in Ierusalem: and all those for incense tooke they away, and cast them into the brooke Kidron.

১৪আর পূজা করবার জন্য পশু উৎসর্গের যে সব বেদী এবং যে সব ধূপদানী যিরূশালেমে ছিল তারা সেগুলো নিয়ে কিদ্রোণ উপত্যকায় ফেলে দিল।

15 Afterwarde they slewe the Passeouer the fourteenth day of the seconde moneth: and the Priestes and Leuites were ashamed, and sanctified themselues, and brought the burnt offrings into the house of the Lord.

১৫তারা দ্বিতীয় মাসের চৌদ্দ দিনের র দিন নিস্তারপর্ব্বের ভেড়ার বাচ্চা বলি দিল। এতে যাজক ও লেবীয়েরা লজ্জা পেয়ে নিজেদের শুচি করলেন এবং সদাপ্রভুর ঘরে হোম বলির জিনিস নিয়ে আসলেন।

16 And they stoode in their place after their maner, according to the Lawe of Moses the man of God: and the Priestes sprinkled the blood, receiued of the handes of the Leuites.

১৬তারপর ঈশ্বরের লোক মোশির ব্যবস্থা অনুযায়ী তাঁরা তাঁদের নির্দিষ্ট জায়গা গিয়ে দাঁড়ালেন। যাজকেরা লেবীয়দের হাত থেকে যে রক্ত পেয়েছিল তা নিয়ে ছিটিয়ে দিলেন।

17 Because there were many in the Congregation that were not sanctified, therefore the Leuites had the charge of the killing of ye Passeouer for all that were not cleane, to sanctifie it to the Lord.

১৭কারণ লোকদের মধ্যে অনেকে নিজেদের শুচি করে নি এমন লোক ছিল। সেইজন্য সব লোকদের হয়ে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উৎসর্গ করবার জন্য নিস্তার পর্বের মেষের বাচ্চা লেবীয়দেরই বলি দিতে হয়েছিল।

18 For a multitude of the people, euen a multitude of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not cleansed themselues, yet did eate the Passeouer, but not as it was written: wherefore Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord be mercifull toward him,

১৮কারণ ইফ্রয়িম, মনঃশি, ইষাখর ও সবূলূন গোষ্ঠীর থেকে আসা অনেক লোক আবার নিজেদের শুচি করে নি, তবুও তারা নিয়মের বিরুদ্ধে নিস্তার পর্বের ভোজ খেয়েছিল। কিন্তু হিষ্কিয় তাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা করে বললেন, “মঙ্গলময় ঈশ্বর যেন সবাইকে ক্ষমা করেন

19 That prepareth his whole heart to seeke the Lord God, the God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed, according to the purification of the Sanctuarie.

১৯যদিও উপাসনা ঘরের ব্যবস্থা অনুযায়ী তারা শুচি হয়নি তবুও যারা তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর ইচ্ছামত চলবার জন্য নিজেদের হৃদয় স্থির করেছে মঙ্গলময় ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু যেন তাদের ক্ষমা করেন।”

20 And the Lord heard Hezekiah, and healed the people.

২০সুতরাং সদাপ্রভু হিষ্কিয়ের প্রার্থনা শুনে লোকদের সুস্থ করলেন।

21 And the children of Israel that were present at Ierusalem, kept the feast of the vnleauened bread seuen dayes with great ioye, and the Leuites, and the Priestes praysed the Lord, day by day, singing with loude instruments vnto the Lord.

২১এই ভাবে যে সব ইস্রায়েলীয় যিরূশালেমে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল তারা খুব আনন্দের সঙ্গে সাত দিন ধরে তাড়ীশূন্য রুটির পর্ব পালন করল; আর এদিকে লেবীয় ও যাজকেরা প্রতিদিন সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উচ্চস্বরে বাজনা বাজিয়ে প্রশংসা গান করলেন।

22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites that had good knowledge to sing vnto the Lord: and they did eate in that feast seuen dayes, and offred peace offrings, and praysed the Lord God of their fathers.

২২সদাপ্রভুর সেবাকাজে যে সব লেবীয়েরা দক্ষ ছিল হিষ্কিয় তাদের উৎসাহমূলক কথা বললেন। এই ভাবে তারা মঙ্গলার্থক বলি উৎসর্গের অনুষ্ঠান করে সাত দিন ধরে খাওয়া দাওয়া করল এবং তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব করল।

23 And the whole assembly tooke counsel to keepe it other seuen dayes. So they kept it seuen dayes with ioy.

২৩তারপর সভার সমস্ত লোক আরও সাত দিন সেই পর্ব পালন করবে বলে ঠিক করল; এবং আরও সাত দিন তারা আনন্দের সঙ্গে সেই পর্ব পালন করল।

24 For Hezekiah King of Iudah had giuen to the Congregation a thousande bullockes, and seuen thousand sheepe. And the princes had giuen to the Congregation a thousand bullocks, and ten thousand sheepe: and many Priests were sanctified.

২৪পরে যিহূদার রাজা হিষ্কিয় সভার সমস্ত লোকের উপহারের জন্য এক হাজার ষাঁড় ও সাত হাজার মেষ দিলেন আর উঁচু পদের কর্মচারীরা দিলেন এক হাজার ষাঁড় ও দশ হাজার ভেড়া। আর যাজকদের মধ্যে অনেকে নিজেদের শুচি করলেন।

25 And all the Congregation of Iudah reioyced with the Priestes and the Leuites, and all the Congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Iudah.

২৫যিহূদার সব সমাজের লোকেরা, যাজকেরা, লেবীয়েরা, ইস্রায়েল থেকে আসা সব লোকেরা এবং ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদায় বাসকারী যে বিদেশীরা এসেছিল তারা সবাই আনন্দ করল।

26 So there was great ioye in Ierusalem: for since the time of Salomon the sonne of Dauid King of Israel there was not the like thing in Ierusalem.

২৬এই ভাবে যিরূশালেমে খুব আনন্দ হল; ইস্রায়েলের রাজা দায়ূদের ছেলে শলোমনের পরে যিরূশালেমে আর এই ভাবে পর্ব পালন করা হয়নি।

27 Then the Priests and the Leuites arose, and blessed the people, and their voyce was heard, and their prayer came vp vnto heauen, to his holy habitation.

২৭পরে যে লেবীয়েরা যাজক ছিলেন তাঁরা দাঁড়িয়ে লোকদের আশীর্বাদ করলেন, আর তাঁদের প্রার্থনা শুনা গেল, কারণ তাঁদের প্রার্থনা স্বর্গে তাঁর পবিত্র জায়গা পৌঁছেছিল।
