2 Chronicles 24
1 Ioash was seuen yere olde, when he began to reigne, and he reigned fourty yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.
Беше Јоасу седам година кад се зацари, и царова четрдесет година у Јерусалиму. Матери му беше име Сивија из Вирсавеје.
2 And Ioash did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, all the dayes of Iehoiada the Priest.
И чињаше Јоас што је право пред Господом докле год беше жив Јодај свештеник.
3 And Iehoiada tooke him two wiues, and he begate sonnes and daughters.
И Јодај га ожени двема женама, те роди синове и кћери.
4 And afterward it came into Ioash mind, to renew the house of the Lord.
Потом Јоас науми да оправи дом Господњи.
5 And he assembled the Priests and the Leuites, and said to them, Goe out vnto the cities of Iudah, and gather of all Israel money to repaire the house of your God, from yeere to yeere, and haste the thing: but the Leuites hasted not.
И сазва свештенике и Левите, па им рече: Пођите по градовима Јудиним и купите од свега Израиља новац да се оправља дом Бога вашег од године до године, и ви похитајте с тим. Али не хитеше Левити.
6 Therefore the King called Iehoiada, the chiefe, and said vnto him, Why hast thou not required of the Leuites to bring in out of Iudah and Ierusalem the taxe of Moses the seruant of the Lord, and of the Congregation of Israel, for the Tabernacle of the testimonie?
Зато цар дозва Јодаја поглавара и рече му: Зашто не настојиш да Левити доносе из Јудеје и Јерусалима прилоге које је наредио Мојсије слуга Господњи збору Израиљевом на шатор од састанка?
7 For wicked Athaliah, and her children brake vp the house of God: and all the things that were dedicate for the house of the Lord, did they bestowe vpon Baalim.
Јер безбожна Готолија и синови њени опленише дом Господњи и све ствари посвећене дому Господњем обратише на Вале.
8 Therefore the King commanded, and they made a chest, and set it at the gate of the house of the Lord without.
И тако заповеди цар те начинише ковчег, и метнуше га на врата дома Господњег споља.
9 And they made proclamation thorow Iudah and Ierusalem, to bring vnto the Lord the taxe of Moses the seruant of God, layde vpon Israel in the wildernesse.
И огласише по Јудеји и по Јерусалиму да доносе Господу прилог који је наредио Мојсије, слуга Божји, Израиљу у пустињи.
10 And all the princes and all the people reioyced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, vntill they had finished.
И обрадоваше се кнезови и сав народ, и доносећи метаху у ковчег докле се не сврши.
11 And when it was time, they brought the chest vnto the Kings officer by the hand of the Leuites: and when they saw that there was much siluer, then the Kings Scribe (and one appoynted by the hie Priest) came and emptied the chest, and tooke it, and caried it to his place againe: thus they did day by day, and gathered siluer in abundance.
И кад доношаху Левити ковчег, по заповести царевој, видевши да има много новца, долажаше писар царев и посланик поглавара свештеничког, те изручиваху ковчег, потом га опет одношаху и остављаху на његово место; и тако чињаху сваки дан, и накупише много новца.
12 And the King and Iehoiada gaue it to such as did the labour and worke in the house of the Lord, and hyred masons and carpenters to repayre the house of the Lord: they gaue it also to workers of yron and brasse, to repayre the house of the Lord.
И даваше га цар Јодај настојницима над послом око дома Господњег, а они наимаху каменаре и дрводеље да се обнови дом Господњи, и коваче који раде од гвожђа и од бронзе, да се оправи дом Господњи.
13 So the workemen wrought, and the worke amended through their hands: and they restored the house of God to his state, and strengthened it.
И пословаху посленици, и оправљање напредоваше под њиховим рукама, те повратише дому Божјем обличје његово, и утврдише га.
14 And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the siluer before the King and Iehoiada, and he made thereof vessels for the house of the Lord, euen vessels to minister, both morters and incense cuppes, and vessels of golde, and of siluer: and they offred burnt offrings in the house of the Lord continually all the dayes of Iehoiada.
А кад свршише, донесоше пред цара и Јодаја новце што претекоше; и од тог новца начини судове за дом Господњи, судове за службу и за жртве, и кадионице, и друге судове златне и сребрне. И тако приношаху жртве паљенице у дому Господњем једнако свега века Јодајевог.
15 But Iehoiada waxed olde, and was ful of dayes and dyed. An hundreth and thirtie yeere olde was he when he dyed.
Потом остаревши Јодај сит живота умре; сто и тридесет година беше му кад умре.
16 And they buried him in the citie of Dauid with the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.
И погребоше га у граду Давидовом код царева; јер чињаше добро Израиљу и Богу и дому његовом.
17 And after the death of Iehoiada, came the princes of Iudah, and did reuerence to the King, and the King hearkened vnto them.
А кад умре Јодај, дођоше кнезови Јудини и поклонише се цару; тада их послуша цар,
18 And they left the house of the Lord God of their fathers, and serued groues and idoles: and wrath came vpon Iudah and Ierusalem, because of this their trespasse.
Те оставише дом Господа Бога отаца својих, и стадоше служити луговима и идолима; и подиже се гнев Господњи на Јуду и на Јерусалим за тај грех њихов.
19 And God sent Prophets amog the, to bring them againe vnto the Lord: and they made protestation among them, but they would not heare.
И слаше им пророке да их врате ка Господу, и они им сведочаху, али их не послушаше.
20 And the Spirit of God came vpon Zechariah the sonne of Iehoiada the Priest, which stoode aboue the people, and sayde vnto them, Thus sayth God, Why transgresse ye the commandements of the Lord? surely ye shall not prosper: because ye haue forsaken the Lord, he also hath forsaken you.
И дође дух Господњи на Захарију, сина Јодаја свештеника, те стаде више народа и рече им: Овако вели Бог: Зашто преступате заповести Господње? Нећете бити срећни; што остависте Господа, зато и Он вас остави.
21 Then they conspired against him and stoned him with stones at the commandement of the King, in the court of the house of the Lord.
А они се побунише на њ, и засуше га камењем по заповести царевој у трему дома Господњег.
22 Thus Ioash the King remembred not the kindnesse which Iehoiada his father had done to him, but slewe his sonne. And when he dyed, he sayd, The Lord looke vpon it, and require it.
И не опомену се Јоас милости коју му учини Јодај, отац његов, него уби сина његовог; а он умирући рече: Господ нека види и тражи.
23 And when the yeere was out, the host of Aram came vp against him, and they came against Iudah and Ierusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoyle of them vnto the King of Damascus.
А кад прође година, подиже се на њ војска сирска и уђе у земљу јудејску и у Јерусалим, и побише по народу све кнезове народне, и сав плен од њих послаше цару у Дамаск.
24 Though the armie of Aram came with a small company of men, yet the Lord deliuered a very great armie into their hand, because they had forsaken the Lord God of their fathers: and they gaue sentence against Ioash.
Ако и мала беше војска сирска која дође, ипак Господ даде у руке њихове врло велику војску, јер беху оставили Господа Бога отаца својих. И тако на Јоасу извршише суд.
25 And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases) his owne seruants conspired against him for the blood of the children of Iehoiada the Priest, and slewe him on his bed, and he dyed, and they buryed him in the citie of Dauid: but they buryed him not in the sepulchres of the Kings.
А кад отидоше од њега оставивши га у тешкој болести, побунише се на њ слуге његове за крв синова Јодаја свештеника, и убише га на постељи његовој, те погибе; и погребоше га у граду Давидовом, али га не погребоше у гробовима царским.
26 And these are they that conspired against him, Zabad the sonne of Shimrath an Ammonitesse, and Iehozabad the sonne of Shimrith a Moabitesse.
А ово су што се побунише на њ: Завад, син Симеате Амонке и Јозавад, син Симрите Моавке.
27 But his sonnes, and the summe of the taxe gathered by him, and the foundation of the house of God, behold, they are written in the storie of the booke of the Kings. And Amaziah his sonne reigned in his steade.
А о синовима његовим и о великом порезу што би под њим, и о грађењу дома Божјег, ето записано је у књизи о царевима. А зацари се на његово место Амасија, син његов.
