1 And in the seuenth yeere Iehoiada waxed bolde, and tooke the captaines of hundreths, to wit, Azariah the sonne of Ieroham, and Ishmael the sonne of Iehohanan, and Azariah the sonne of Obed, and Maasiah the sonne of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the sonne of Zichri in couenant with him.
Naye mu mwaka ogw’omusanvu Yekoyaada n’alaga obuyinza bwe. N’akola endagaano n’abaduumizi ab’ebibinja eby’ekikumi, era baali Azaliya mutabani wa Yekokamu, ne Isimayiri mutabani wa Yekokanani, ne Azaliya mutabani wa Obedi, ne Maaseya mutabani wa Adaya, ne Erisafaati mutabani wa Zikuli.
2 And they went about in Iudah, and gathered the Leuites out of all the cities of Iudah, and the chiefe fathers of Israel: and they came to Ierusale.
Ne bagenda mu Yuda yonna ne bakuŋŋaanya Abaleevi n’abakulembeze b’ennyumba za bajjajja ba Isirayiri okuva mu bibuga byonna ebya Yuda ne bajja e Yerusaalemi.
3 And al the Congregation made a couenant with the King in the house of God: and he sayde vnto them, Behold, the Kings sonne must reigne, as the Lord hath sayd of the sonnes of Dauid.
Ekibiina kyonna ne bakola endagaano ne kabaka mu yeekaalu ya Katonda. Awo Yekoyaada n’abagamba nti, “Mutabani wa kabaka y’alifuga, nga Mukama bwe yasuubiza bazzukulu ba Dawudi.
4 This is it that ye shall do, The third part of you that come on the Sabbath of the Priests, and the Leuites, shalbe porters of the doores.
Era bwe muti bwe munaakola: kimu kya kusatu ku mmwe bakabona n’Abaleevi abanaaberanga ku luwalo ku ssabbiiti munaakuumanga wankaaki,
5 And another third part towarde the Kings house, and another thirde part at the gate of the foundation, and al the people shalbe in the courts of the house of the Lord.
ate kimu kya kusatu ekirala munaakuumanga olubiri lwa kabaka, n’ekimu kya kusatu ekirala munaakuumanga Omulyango ogw’Omusingi, n’abantu abalala bonna banaabeeranga mu luggya olwa yeekaalu ya Mukama.
6 But let none come into the house of the Lord, saue the Priests, and the Leuites that minister: they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keepe the watch of the Lord.
Tewabanga n’omu ayingira mu yeekaalu ya Mukama wabula bakabona, n’Abaleevi abanaabeeranga mu luwalo; abo banaayingiranga kubanga batukuvu, naye abantu abalala bonna banaagobereranga ekyo Mukama kye yalagira.
7 And the Leuites shall compasse the King rounde about, and euery man with his weapon in his hand, and he that entreth into the house, shall be slaine, and be you with the King, when he commeth in, and when he goeth out.
Abaleevi banaayimiriranga okwetooloola kabaka, buli omu ku bo ng’akutte ebyokulwanyisa bye mu mukono gwe, na buli anaayingiranga mu yeekaalu wa kuttibwa. Mubeere kumpi nnyo ne kabaka, buli gy’anaalaganga.”
8 So the Leuites and all Iudah did according to all things that Iehoiada the Priest had commanded, and tooke euery man his men that came on the Sabbath, with them that went out on the Sabbath: for Iehoiada the Priest did not discharge the courses.
Abaleevi n’abantu bonna aba Yuda ne bakola nga Yekoyaada kabona bwe yalagira. Buli omu ku bo n’atwala abasajja be, abo abaali mu luwalo ku Ssabbiiti, wamu n’abo abaali bamaliriza olwabwe, kubanga Yekoyaada kabona yali tannabagaba mu mpalo.
9 And Iehoiada the Priest deliuered to the captaines of hundreths speares, and shieldes, and bucklers which had bene King Dauids, and were in the house of God.
N’awa abaduumizi ab’ekikumi amafumu, n’engabo ennene, n’engabo entono, ebyali ebya Kabaka Dawudi, ebyabeeranga mu yeekaalu ya Katonda.
10 And he caused all the people to stand (euery man with his weapon in his hande) from the right side of the house, to ye left side of the house by the altar and by the house round about ye king.
Era n’ateekateeka buli musajja okuba omukuumi wa kabaka, nga buli omu ku bo akutte ekyokulwanyisa mu mukono gwe, nga beetoolodde kabaka, n’okwetooloola ekyoto ne yeekaalu, okuva mu bukiikaddyo, okutuuka ku bukiikakkono obwa yeekaalu.
11 Then they brought out the Kings sonne, and put vpon him the crowne and gaue him the testimonie, and made him King. And Iehoiada and his sonnes anoynted him, and sayd, God saue the King.
Awo Yekoyaada ne batabani be ne bafulumya mutabani wa kabaka ne bamutikkira engule ey’obwakabaka, ne bakola endagaano, era ne bamulangirira okuba kabaka. Ne bamufukako amafuta, ne boogera mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka nti, “Wangaala kabaka!”
12 But when Athaliah heard the noyse of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the Lord.
Naye Asaliya bwe yawulira oluyoogaano lw’abantu nga badduka era nga batendereza kabaka, n’agenda gye bali mu yeekaalu ya Mukama.
13 And when she looked, beholde, the King stoode by his pillar at the entring in, and the princes and the trumpets by the King, and all the people of the land reioyced, and blew the trumpets, and the singers were with instruments of musike, and they that could sing prayse: then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, treason.
N’atunula, laba, kabaka ng’ayimiridde okuliraana empagi ye ku mulyango, n’abakungu n’abafuuwa amakondeere nga bayimiridde okumwetooloola, era nga n’abantu bonna ab’ensi nga basanyuka nga bafuuwa n’amakondeere, n’abayimbi nga bakutte ebivuga byabwe nga bakulembedde okujaguza. Awo Asaliya n’ayuza ebyambalo bye, n’aleekaanira waggulu nti, “Bujeemu! Bujeemu!”
14 Then Iehoiada the Priest brought out the captaines of hundreths that were gouernours of the hoste, and said vnto them, Haue her foorth of the ranges, and he that followeth her, let him dye by the sword: for the Priest had said, Slay her not in the house of the Lord.
Yekoyaada kabona n’atuma abaduumizi ab’ebibinja eby’ekikumi, abaavunaanyizibwanga eggye, n’abagamba nti, “Mumufulumye mumuteeke wakati w’enyiriri, mutte n’ekitala omuntu yenna anaamugoberera.” Kabona yali ayogedde nti, “Temumuttira mu yeekaalu ya Mukama.”
15 So they layde hands on her: and when she was come to the entring of the horsegate by the Kings house, they slew her there.
Bwe yali ng’anaatera okutuuka ku mulyango ogw’embalaasi mu luggya olwokubiri, ne bamukwata ne bamuttira eyo.
16 And Iehoiada made a couenant betweene him, and all the people, and the King, that they would be the Lords people.
Awo Yekoyaada n’akola endagaano wakati we n’abantu bonna era ne kabaka, nti baliba bantu ba Mukama.
17 And all the people went to the house of Baal, and destroyed, and brake his altars and his images, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
Abantu bonna ne bagenda mu ssabo lya Baali ne balimenyaamenya, ne bamenyaamenya n’ebyoto bye n’ebifaananyi bye, era ne battira ne Matani kabona wa Baali mu maaso g’ebyoto bya Baali.
18 And Iehoiada appointed officers for the house of the Lord, vnder the handes of the Priestes and Leuites, whome Dauid had distributed for the house of the Lord, to offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, as it is written in the Law of Moses, with reioycing and singing by the appoyntment of Dauid.
Awo Yekoyaada n’assaawo abanaalabiriranga yeekaalu ya Mukama, era n’alonda bakabona n’Abaleevi Dawudi be yali awadde obuvunaanyizibwa obw’okuwangayo ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa eri Mukama, nga bwe kyawandiikibwa mu mateeka ga Musa, nga bajaguza era nga bayimba, nga Dawudi bwe yalagira.
19 And he set porters by the gates of ye house of the Lord, that none that was vncleane in any thing, should enter in.
N’ateeka n’abaggazi ku wankaaki za yeekaalu ya Mukama, waleme okubaawo omuntu yenna atali mulongoofu ayingira.
20 And he tooke the captaines of hundreths, and the noble men, and the gouernours of the people, and all the people of the land, and he caused the King to come downe out of the house of the Lord, and they went thorowe the hie gate of the Kings house, and set the King vpon the throne of the kingdome.
N’agenda n’abaduumizi ab’ekikumi, n’abakungu, n’abafuzi b’abantu, n’abantu bonna ab’eggwanga, ne baggya kabaka mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, ne bayita mu wankaaki ow’ekyengulu ne balaga mu lubiri lwa kabaka. Ne batuuza kabaka ku ntebe ye ey’obwakabaka.
21 Then all the people of the land reioyced, and the citie was quiet, after that they had slaine Athaliah with the sword.
Abantu bonna ab’ensi ne bajaguza, n’ekibuga ne kitereera, kubanga Asaliya yali attiddwa n’ekitala.
