2 Chronicles 23
1 And in the seuenth yeere Iehoiada waxed bolde, and tooke the captaines of hundreths, to wit, Azariah the sonne of Ieroham, and Ishmael the sonne of Iehohanan, and Azariah the sonne of Obed, and Maasiah the sonne of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the sonne of Zichri in couenant with him.
Alò, nan setyèm ane, Jehojada te ranfòse tèt li, e te pran chèf a dè santèn yo: Azaria, fis a Obed la, Maaséja, fis a Adaja a ak Élischaphath, fis a Zicri a. Yo te antre nan yon akò avèk li.
2 And they went about in Iudah, and gathered the Leuites out of all the cities of Iudah, and the chiefe fathers of Israel: and they came to Ierusale.
Yo te ale toupatou nan Juda pou te rasanble Levit soti nan tout vil Juda yo ak chèf lakay zansèt Israël yo, e yo te vini Jérusalem.
3 And al the Congregation made a couenant with the King in the house of God: and he sayde vnto them, Behold, the Kings sonne must reigne, as the Lord hath sayd of the sonnes of Dauid.
Konsa, tout asanble a te fè yon akò avèk wa a nan kay Bondye a. Epi Jehojada te di yo: “Gade byen, fis a wa a oblije renye, jan SENYÈ a te pale pa fis a David yo.
4 This is it that ye shall do, The third part of you that come on the Sabbath of the Priests, and the Leuites, shalbe porters of the doores.
Sa se bagay ke nou oblije fè: yon tyè nan nou, nan prèt avèk Levit ki antre nan Saba yo, va sèvi kòm gadyen pòtay;
5 And another third part towarde the Kings house, and another thirde part at the gate of the foundation, and al the people shalbe in the courts of the house of the Lord.
yon tyè va kote lakay wa a, e yon tyè kote Pòtay Fondasyon an. Tout pèp la va nan lakou lakay SENYÈ a.
6 But let none come into the house of the Lord, saue the Priests, and the Leuites that minister: they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keepe the watch of the Lord.
Men pa kite pèsòn antre lakay SENYÈ a, sof ke prèt avèk Levit k ap fè sèvis yo. Yo kab antre, paske yo sen, men tout pèp la va kenbe règleman a SENYÈ a.
7 And the Leuites shall compasse the King rounde about, and euery man with his weapon in his hand, and he that entreth into the house, shall be slaine, and be you with the King, when he commeth in, and when he goeth out.
Levit yo va antoure wa a, chak mesye avèk zam yo nan men yo. Nenpòt moun ki antre nan kay la, fòk li mouri. Rete avèk wa a lè l antre ak lè l sòti.”
8 So the Leuites and all Iudah did according to all things that Iehoiada the Priest had commanded, and tooke euery man his men that came on the Sabbath, with them that went out on the Sabbath: for Iehoiada the Priest did not discharge the courses.
Konsa, Levit yo avèk tout Juda te fè selon tout sa ke Jehojada, prèt la, te kòmande yo a. Yo chak te pran mesye pa yo ki te gen pou antre anndan nan Saba a, avèk sila ki t ap sòti nan Saba yo, paske Jehojada, prèt la, pa t lage okenn nan divizyon sòlda yo.
9 And Iehoiada the Priest deliuered to the captaines of hundreths speares, and shieldes, and bucklers which had bene King Dauids, and were in the house of God.
Jehojada, prèt la, te bay a chèf dè santèn yo lans avèk gwo boukliye defans, ki te konn pou Wa David, ki te lakay Bondye a.
10 And he caused all the people to stand (euery man with his weapon in his hande) from the right side of the house, to ye left side of the house by the altar and by the house round about ye king.
Li te estasyone tout pèp la, chak mesye yo avèk zam yo nan men yo, sòti nan kote dwat kay la jis rive nan kote goch kay la, toupre lotèl la, toupre kay la, antoure wa a nèt.
11 Then they brought out the Kings sonne, and put vpon him the crowne and gaue him the testimonie, and made him King. And Iehoiada and his sonnes anoynted him, and sayd, God saue the King.
Epi yo te mennen fè parèt fis a wa a, yo te mete kouwòn nan sou li. Konsa, yo te ba li temwayaj pou te fè l wa. Jehojada avèk fis li yo te onksyone li, e yo te di ansanm: “Viv wa a!”
12 But when Athaliah heard the noyse of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the Lord.
Lè Athalie te tande bwi a pèp la ki t ap kouri ak bay lwanj a wa a, li te antre lakay SENYÈ a kote pèp la.
13 And when she looked, beholde, the King stoode by his pillar at the entring in, and the princes and the trumpets by the King, and all the people of the land reioyced, and blew the trumpets, and the singers were with instruments of musike, and they that could sing prayse: then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, treason.

14 Then Iehoiada the Priest brought out the captaines of hundreths that were gouernours of the hoste, and said vnto them, Haue her foorth of the ranges, and he that followeth her, let him dye by the sword: for the Priest had said, Slay her not in the house of the Lord.
Jehojada, prèt la te mennen fè sòti chèf a dè santèn ki te chwazi sou lame yo. Li te di yo: “Mennen li deyò antre ranje yo, epi nenpòt moun ki swiv li, mete li a lanmò avèk nepe.” Paske prèt la te di: “Pa kite li mouri lakay SENYÈ a.”
15 So they layde hands on her: and when she was come to the entring of the horsegate by the Kings house, they slew her there.
Konsa, yo te sezi li e lè li te rive kote antre Pòtay Cheval la, lakay wa a, yo te mete li a lanmò la.
16 And Iehoiada made a couenant betweene him, and all the people, and the King, that they would be the Lords people.
Epi Jehojada te fè yon akò antre li menm avèk tout pèp la, e avèk wa a, pou yo ta pèp a SENYÈ a.
17 And all the people went to the house of Baal, and destroyed, and brake his altars and his images, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
Konsa, tout pèp la te ale kote kay Baal la. Yo te chire, kase an mòso lotèl li yo, avèk imaj li yo, e yo te touye Matthan, prèt Baal la devan lotèl yo.
18 And Iehoiada appointed officers for the house of the Lord, vnder the handes of the Priestes and Leuites, whome Dauid had distributed for the house of the Lord, to offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord, as it is written in the Law of Moses, with reioycing and singing by the appoyntment of Dauid.
Anplis, Jehojada te mete ofisye lakay SENYÈ yo anba otorite prèt Levit yo, ke David te apwente sou lakay SENYÈ a, pou ofri ofrann brile a SENYÈ, jan sa ekri nan lalwa Moïse la—-avèk anpil rejwisans ak chante selon lòd a David la.
19 And he set porters by the gates of ye house of the Lord, that none that was vncleane in any thing, should enter in.
Li te estasyone gadyen pòtay yo lakay SENYÈ a, pou pèsòn pa t kab antre, si pou nenpòt rezon li pa t pwòp.
20 And he tooke the captaines of hundreths, and the noble men, and the gouernours of the people, and all the people of the land, and he caused the King to come downe out of the house of the Lord, and they went thorowe the hie gate of the Kings house, and set the King vpon the throne of the kingdome.
Li te pran chèf a dè santèn yo, moun enpòtan yo, moun ki te gouvène pèp la, tout pèp peyi a, e yo te mennen wa a desann soti lakay SENYÈ a pou te antre pa wo pòtay la pou antre lakay wa a. Konsa, yo te mete wa a sou twòn wayal la.
21 Then all the people of the land reioyced, and the citie was quiet, after that they had slaine Athaliah with the sword.
Tout pèp peyi a te rejwi e vil la te vin kalm. Paske yo te mete Athalie a lanmò avèk nepe.
