2 Chronicles 18
1 And Iehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, but he was ioyned in affinitie with Ahab.
௧யோசபாத்திற்கு மிகுந்த ஐசுவரியமும் கனமும் இருந்தது; அவன் ஆகாபோடு சம்பந்தம் கலந்து,
2 And after certaine yeeres he went downe to Ahab to Samaria: and Ahab slew sheepe and oxen for him in great nomber, and for the people that he had with him, and entised him to goe vp vnto Ramoth Gilead.
௨சில வருடங்கள் சென்றபின்பு, சமாரியாவிலிருக்கிற ஆகாபிடம் போனான்; அப்பொழுது ஆகாப் அவனுக்கும் அவனோடிருக்கிற மக்களுக்கும் அநேகம் ஆடுமாடுகளை அடிப்பித்து, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்கு வரும்படி அவனை இணங்கச் செய்தான்.
3 And Ahab King of Israel saide vnto Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, Wilt thou goe with mee to Ramoth Gilead? And hee answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people, and wee will ioyne with thee in the warre.
௩எப்படியெனில், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாப் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்கு என்னோடு வருகிறீரா என்று கேட்டதற்கு அவன்: நான் தான் நீர், என்னுடைய மக்கள் உம்முடைய மக்கள், உம்மோடுகூட போருக்கு வருகிறேன் என்றான்.
4 And Iehoshaphat sayde vnto the King of Israel, Aske counsel, I pray thee, at the worde of the Lord this day.
௪மேலும் யோசபாத் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையை இன்றைக்கு விசாரித்துத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் என்றான்.
5 Therefore the King of Israel gathered of Prophets foure hundreth men, and sayde vnto them, Shall we goe to Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I cease? And they sayd, Go vp: for God shall deliuer it into the Kings hand.
௫அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா நானூறு தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து: நாங்கள் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தின்மேல் போர்செய்யப் போகலாமா, போகக்கூடாதா என்று அவர்களைக் கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: போங்கள், தேவன் ராஜாவின் கையில் அதை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார் என்றார்கள்.
6 But Iehoshaphat sayde, Is there heere neuer a Prophet more of the Lord that wee might inquire of him?
௬பின்பு யோசபாத்: நாம் விசாரித்துத் தெரிந்துகொள்வதற்கு இவர்களைத்தவிர யெகோவாவுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசி வேறே யாராகிலும் இங்கே இல்லையா என்று கேட்டான்.
7 And the King of Israel sayd vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whome wee may aske counsell of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophesie good vnto me, but alway euil: it is Michaiah the sonne of Imla. Then Iehoshaphat said, Let not the King say so.
௭அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: யெகோவாவிடத்தில் விசாரித்துத் தெரிந்துகொள்வதற்கு இம்லாவின் மகனாகிய மிகாயா என்னும் மற்றொருவன் இருக்கிறான்; ஆனாலும் நான் அவனைப் பகைக்கிறேன்; அவன் என்னைக்குறித்து நன்மையாக அல்ல, தீமையாகவே எப்பொழுதும் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவன் என்றான். அதற்கு யோசபாத்: ராஜாவே, அப்படிச் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்றான்.
8 And the King of Israel called an eunuche, and said, Call quickly Michaiah the sonne of Imla.
௮அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா, மந்திரிகளில் ஒருவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு: இம்லாவின் மகனாகிய மிகாயாவைச் சீக்கிரமாக அழைத்துவா என்றான்.
9 And the King of Israel, and Iehoshaphat King of Iudah sate either of them on his throne clothed in their apparel: they sate euen in the threshing floore at the entring in of the gate of Samaria: and all the Prophets prophesied before them.
௯இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தும், சமாரியாவின் நுழைவாயிலுக்கு முன்னிருக்கும் விசாலமான இடத்திலே ராஜஉடை அணிந்துகொண்டவர்களாக, அவரவர் தம்தம் சிங்காசனத்திலே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்; அனைத்து தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொன்னார்கள்.
10 And Zidkiah ye sonne of Chenaanah made him hornes of yron, and sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Aramites vntill thou hast consumed them.
௧0கேனானாவின் மகனாகிய சிதேக்கியா தனக்கு இரும்புக்கொம்புகளை உண்டாக்கி, இவைகளால் நீர் சீரியர்களை முட்டி அழித்துப்போடுவீர் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.
11 And all the Prophets prophesied so, saying, Go vp to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliuer it into the hand of the King.
௧௧அனைத்து தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் அதற்கு ஏற்றவாறு தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போங்கள், உங்களுக்கு வாய்க்கும், யெகோவா அதை ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார் என்றார்கள்.
12 And the messenger that went to call Michaiah, spake to him, saying, Beholde, the wordes of the Prophets declare good to the King with one accord: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speake thou good.
௧௨மிகாயாவை அழைக்கப்போன ஆள் அவனுடனே பேசி: இதோ, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வார்த்தைகள் ஒன்றுபோலவே ராஜாவுக்கு நன்மையாயிருக்கிறது; உம்முடைய வார்த்தையும் அவர்களில் ஒருவருடைய வார்த்தையைப்போல இருக்கும்படி நன்மையாகச் சொல்லும் என்றான்.
13 And Michaiah saide, As the Lord liueth, whatsoeuer my God saith, that will I speake.
௧௩அதற்கு மிகாயா: என் தேவன் சொல்வதையே சொல்வேன் என்று யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்.
14 So he came to the King, and the King said vnto him, Michaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I leaue off? And he said, Goe yee vp, and prosper, and they shalbe deliuered into your hand.
௧௪அவன் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, ராஜா அவனைப் பார்த்து: மிகாயாவே, நாங்கள் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தின்மேல் போர்செய்யப் போகலாமா, போகக்கூடாதா என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவன்: போங்கள்; உங்களுக்கு வாய்க்கும்; அவர்கள் உங்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்றான்.
15 And the King sayd to him, Howe oft shall I charge thee, that thou tell mee nothing but the trueth in the Name of the Lord?
௧௫ராஜா அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ யெகோவாவுடைய நாமத்திலே உண்மையைத் தவிர வேறொன்றையும் என்னிடத்தில் சொல்லாதபடி, நான் எத்தனைமுறை உனக்கு ஆணையிடவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னான்.
16 Then he said, I saw al Israel scattered in the mountaines, as sheepe that haue no shepheard: and the Lord sayd, These haue no Master: let them returne euery man to his house in peace.
௧௬அப்பொழுது அவன்: இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லோரும் மேய்ப்பனில்லாத ஆடுகளைப் போல மலைகளில் சிதறப்பட்டதைக் கண்டேன்; அப்பொழுது யெகோவா: இவர்களுக்கு எஜமான் இல்லை; அவரவர் தம்தம் வீட்டிற்கு சமாதானத்தோடு திரும்பிப் போகட்டும் என்றார் என்று சொன்னான்.
17 And the King of Israel sayde to Iehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee, that he would not prophesie good vnto me, but euill?
௧௭அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா, யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: இவன் என்னைக்குறித்து நன்மையாக அல்ல, தீமையாகவே தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறவன் என்று நான் உம்மோடு சொல்லவில்லையா என்றான்.
18 Againe hee saide, Therefore heare ye the worde of the Lord: I sawe the Lord sit vpon his throne, and all the hoste of heauen standing at his right hand, and at his left.
௧௮அப்பொழுது மிகாயா சொன்னது: யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; யெகோவா தம்முடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருக்கிறதையும், பரமசேனையெல்லாம் அவருடைய வலதுபக்கத்திலும் இடதுபக்கத்திலும் நிற்கிறதையும் கண்டேன்.
19 And the Lord sayd, Who shall perswade Ahab King of Israel, that he may go vp, and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one spake and said thus, and another said that.
௧௯அப்பொழுது யெகோவா: இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாப் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்தில் போய் விழும்படிக்கு, அவனுக்கு போதனைசெய்கிறவன் யார் என்று கேட்டதற்கு, ஒருவன் இப்படியும் ஒருவன் அப்படியும் சொன்னார்கள்.
20 Then there came forth a spirit and stoode before the Lord, and said, I will perswade him. And the Lord said vnto him, Wherein?
௨0அப்பொழுது ஒரு ஆவி புறப்பட்டு வந்து, யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நின்று: நான் அவனுக்கு போதனைசெய்வேன் என்றது; எதனால் என்று யெகோவா அதைக் கேட்டார்.
21 And he saide, I will goe out, and bee a false spirit in the mouth of all his Prophets. And hee said, Thou shalt perswade, and shalt also preuaile: goe forth and do so.
௨௧அப்பொழுது அது: நான் போய், அவனுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் எல்லோரின் வாயிலும் பொய்யின் ஆவியாக இருப்பேன் என்றது. அதற்கு அவர்: நீ அவனுக்குப் போதனைசெய்து அப்படி நடக்கச் செய்வாய்; போய் அப்படியே செய் என்றார்.
22 Now therefore behold, the Lord hath put a false spirit in the mouth of these thy Prophets, and the Lord hath determined euill against thee.
௨௨ஆகவே யெகோவா பொய்யின் ஆவியை இந்த உம்முடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் வாயிலே கட்டளையிட்டார்; யெகோவா உம்மைக்குறித்துத் தீமையாகச் சொன்னார் என்றான்.
23 Then Zidkiah the sonne of Chenaanah came neere, and smote Michaiah vpon the cheeke, and sayde, By what way went the Spirit of the Lord from me, to speake with thee?
௨௩அப்பொழுது கேனானாவின் மகனாகிய சிதேக்கியா அருகில் வந்து: மிகாயாவைக் கன்னத்தில் அடித்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆவி எந்த வழியாக என்னைவிட்டு உன்னோடு பேசும்படி வந்தது என்றான்.
24 And Michaiah saide, Behold, thou shalt see that day when thou shalt goe from chamber to chamber to hide thee.
௨௪அதற்கு மிகாயா: நீ ஒளித்துக்கொள்ள உள்ளறையிலே பதுங்கும் அந்நாளிலே அதைக் காண்பாய் என்றான்.
25 And the King of Israel sayde, Take ye Michaiah, and cary him to Amon the gouernour of the citie, and to Ioash the Kings sonne,
௨௫அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா: நீங்கள் மிகாயாவைப் பிடித்து, அவனைப் பட்டணத்துத் தலைவனாகிய ஆமோனிடமும், இளவரசனாகிய யோவாசிடமும் திரும்பக் கொண்டுபோய்,
26 And say, Thus saith the King, Put this man in the prison house, and feede him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction vntil I returne in peace.
௨௬அவனைச் சிறைச்சாலையிலே வைத்து, நான் சமாதானத்தோடு திரும்பிவரும்வரை, அவனுக்குக் குறைந்த அளவு அப்பத்தையும், தண்ணீரையும் சாப்பிடக் கொடுங்கள் என்று ராஜா சொன்னார் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றான்.
27 And Michaiah said, If thou returne in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he saide, Heare, all ye people.
௨௭அப்பொழுது மிகாயா: நீர் சமாதானத்தோடு திரும்பிவந்தால், யெகோவா என்னைக்கொண்டு பேசவில்லை என்று சொல்லி; மக்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் கேளுங்கள் என்றான்.
28 So the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah went vp to Ramoth Gilead.
௨௮பின்பு இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவும், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தும் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.
29 And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, I will change my selfe, and enter into the battel: but put thou on thine apparel. So the King of Israel changed himselfe, and they went into the battel.
௨௯இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா யோசபாத்தைப் பார்த்து: நான் மாறுவேடத்தில் போருக்குப் போவேன்; நீரோ ராஜஉடை அணிந்திரும் என்று சொல்லி, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா மாறுவேடத்தில் போருக்குப் போனான்.
30 And the King of Aram had commanded the captaines of the charets that were with him, saying, Fight you not with small, nor great, but against the King of Israel onely.
௩0சீரியாவின் ராஜா தனக்கு இருக்கிற இரதங்களின் தலைவரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சிறியவரோடும் பெரியவரோடும் போர்செய்யாமல், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா ஒருவனோடுமாத்திரம் போர்செய்யுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான்.
31 And when the captaines of the charets saw Iehoshaphat, they sayde, It is the King of Israel: and they compassed about him to fight. But Iehoshaphat cryed, and the Lord helped him and moued them to depart from him.
௩௧ஆதலால் இரதங்களின் தலைவர் யோசபாத்தைக் கண்டபோது, இவன் தான் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா என்று நினைத்துப் போர்செய்ய அவனை சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் கூக்குரலிட்டான்; யெகோவா அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்; அவர்கள் அவனைவிட்டு விலகும்படி தேவன் செய்தார்.
32 For when the captaines of the charets saw that hee was not the King of Israel, they turned backe from him.
௩௨இவன் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா அல்ல என்று இரதங்களின் தலைவர்கள் கண்டபோது அவனைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினார்கள்.
33 Then a certaine man drewe a bowe mightily, and smote the King of Israel betweene the ioyntes of his brigandine: Therefore he saide to his charetman, Turne thine hand, and carie mee out of the host: for I am hurt.
௩௩ஒருவன் தற்செயலாக வில்லை நாணேற்றி எய்தான், அது இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவினுடைய கவசத்தின் சந்துக்கிடையிலேபட்டது; அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் இரத ஓட்டியைப் பார்த்து: நீ திருப்பி என்னை இராணுவத்திற்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோ, எனக்குக் காயம்பட்டது என்றான்.
34 And the battel increased that day: and the King of Israel stood still in his charet against the Aramites vntil euen, and dyed at the time of the sunne going downe.
௩௪அன்றையதினம் போர் அதிகரித்தது; இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா சீரியர்களுக்கு எதிராக இரதத்தில் மாலைவரை இருந்து, சூரியன் மறையும்போது இறந்துபோனான்.
