< 2 Chronicles 16 >
1 In the sixe and thirtieth yeere of the reigne of Asa came Baasha king of Israel vp against Iudah, and built Ramah to let none passe out or goe in to Asa king of Iudah.
Ní ọdún kẹrìndínlógójì ìjọba Asa, Baaṣa ọba Israẹli gòkè wá sí Juda ó sì kọlu Rama, láti ma bá a jẹ́ kí ẹnikẹ́ni lè jáde tàbí wọlé tọ Asa ọba Juda lọ.
2 Then Asa brought out siluer and gold out of the treasures of the house of the Lord, and of the Kings house, and sent to Benhadad King of Aram that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
Nígbà náà ni Asa mú wúrà àti fàdákà jáde nínú ilé ìṣúra ilé Olúwa àti ààfin ọba ó sì ránṣẹ́ sí Beni-Hadadi ọba Siria, ẹni tí ń gbé ní Damasku, ó wí pé,
3 There is a couenant betweene me and thee, and betweene my father and thy father: behold, I haue sent thee siluer and golde: come, breake thy league with Baasha King of Israel that hee may depart from me.
“Májẹ̀mú kan wà láàrín èmi àti ìrẹ, bí ó ti wà láàrín baba mi àti baba rẹ. Ẹ wò ó, mo fi wúrà àti fàdákà ránṣẹ́ sí ọ; lọ, ba májẹ̀mú tí o bá Baaṣa ọba Israẹli dá jẹ́, kí ó lè lọ kúrò ní ọ̀dọ̀ mi.”
4 And Benhadad hearkened vnto King Asa, and sent the captaines of the armies which hee had, against the cities of Israel. And they smote Iion, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
Beni-Hadadi sì gbọ́ ti Asa ọba, ó sì rán àwọn olórí ogun rẹ̀ lọ sí àwọn ìlú Israẹli, wọ́n sì kọlu Ijoni, Dani, Abeli-Maimu, àti gbogbo ìlú ìṣúra Naftali.
5 And when Baasha heard it, he left building of Ramah, and let his worke cease.
Nígbà tí Baaṣa gbọ́ èyí, ó sì dá kíkọ́ Rama dúró, ó sì dá iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ dúró.
6 Then Asa the King tooke all Iudah, and caryed away the stones of Ramah and the tymber thereof, wherewith Baasha did builde, and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
Nígbà náà ní ọba Asa kó gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn Juda jọ, wọ́n sì kó òkúta àti igi Rama lọ èyí ti Baaṣa ń fi kọ́lé; ó sì fi kọ́ Geba àti Mispa.
7 And at that same time Hanani the Seer came to Asa King of Iudah, and saide vnto him, Because thou hast rested vpon the king of Aram, and not rested in the Lord thy God, therefore is the hoste of the King of Aram escaped out of thine hande.
Ní àkókò náà wòlíì Hanani wá sí ọ̀dọ̀ Asa ọba Juda, ó sì wí fún un pé, “Nítorí tí ìwọ gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ọba Siria, ìwọ kò sì gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ, nítorí náà ni ogún ọba Siria ṣe bọ́ kúrò lọ́wọ́ rẹ.
8 The Ethiopians and the Lubims, were they not a great hoste with charets and horsemen, exceeding many? yet because thou diddest rest vpon the Lord, he deliuered them into thine had.
Àwa kì í ṣe ará Etiopia àti àwọn ará Libia àwọn alágbára ogun pẹ̀lú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ kẹ̀kẹ́ àti àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣin? Síbẹ̀ nígbà tí ìwọ bá gbẹ́kẹ̀lé Olúwa yóò sì fi wọ́n lé ọwọ́ rẹ.
9 For the eyes of the Lord beholde all the earth to shewe him selfe strong with them that are of perfite heart towarde him: thou hast then done foolishly in this: therefore from henceforth thou shalt haue warres.
Nítorí ojú Olúwa yí gbogbo ayé ká láti fi agbára fún àwọn ẹni tí ó ní ọkàn pípé sí i. Ìwọ ti ṣe ohun aṣiwèrè, láti ìsinsin yìí lọ, ìwọ yóò wà lójú ogun.”
10 Then Asa was wroth with the Seer, and put him into a prison: for he was displeased with him, because of this thing. And Asa oppressed certaine of the people at the same time.

11 And behold, the actes of Asa first and last, loe, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Iudah and Israel.
Àwọn iṣẹ́ ìjọba Asa, láti ìbẹ̀rẹ̀ títí dé òpin, ni akọ sínú ìwé ọba Juda àti Israẹli.
12 And Asa in the nine and thirtieth yeere of his reigne was diseased in his feete, and his disease was extreme: yet he sought not the Lord in his disease, but to the Phisicions.
Ní ọdún kọkàndínlógójì ìjọba rẹ̀, Asa sì ṣe àìsàn pẹ̀lú ààrùn nínú ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀. Bi ó tilẹ̀ jẹ pé ààrùn rẹ̀ lágbára, síbẹ̀ kódà nínú àìsàn rẹ̀ kò wá ìrànlọ́wọ́ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa, ṣùgbọ́n lọ́dọ̀ àwọn oníṣègùn nìkan.
