2 Chronicles 12
1 And when Rehoboam had established the kingdome and made it strong, hee forsooke the Lawe of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
௧ரெகொபெயாம் ராஜ்ஜியத்தைத் திடப்படுத்தித் தன்னை பலப்படுத்திக்கொண்டபின், அவனும் அவனோடு இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அனைவரும் யெகோவாவுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை விட்டுவிட்டார்கள்.
2 Therefore in the fift yeere of King Rehoboam, Shishak the King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem (because they had transgressed against the Lord)
௨அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாக துரோகம்செய்ததால், ராஜாவாகிய ரெகொபெயாமின் ஐந்தாம் வருடத்தின் ஆட்சியில் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய சீஷாக் ஆயிரத்து இருநூறு இரதங்களோடும், அறுபதாயிரம் குதிரைவீரர்களோடும் எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக வந்தான்;
3 With twelue hundreth charets, and three score thousande horsemen, and the people were without nomber, that came with him from Egypt, euen the Lubims, Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
௩அவனோடுகூட எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்த லிபியர்கள், சூக்கியர்கள், எத்தியோப்பியரான மக்கள் எண்ணமுடியாதவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.
4 And he tooke the strong cities which were of Iudah, and came vnto Ierusalem.
௪அவன் யூதாவுக்கு அடுத்த பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களைப் பிடித்து, எருசலேம்வரை வந்தான்.
5 Then came Shemaiah the Prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Iudah, that were gathered together in Hierusalem, because of Shishak, and sayde vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord, Ye haue forsaken me, therefore haue I also left you in the handes of Shishak.
௫அப்பொழுது செமாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி ரெகொபெயாமிடத்திற்கும், சீஷாக்கினிமித்தம் எருசலேமிலே வந்து கூடியிருக்கிற யூதாவின் பிரபுக்களிடத்திற்கும் வந்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் என்னை விட்டுவிட்டீர்கள், ஆகையால் நான் உங்களையும் சீஷாக்கின் கையிலே விழுவதற்கு விட்டுவிட்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.
6 Then the princes of Israel, and the King humbled themselues, and sayde, The Lord is iust.
௬அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலின் பிரபுக்களும் ராஜாவும் தங்களைத் தாழ்த்தி: யெகோவா நீதியுள்ளவர் என்றார்கள்.
7 And when the Lord sawe that they humbled themselues, the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, They haue humbled theselues, therefore I will not destroy them, but I will sende them deliuerance shortly, and my wrath shall not bee powred out vpon Ierusalem by the hand of Shishak.
௭அவர்கள் தங்களைத் தாழ்த்தினதைக் யெகோவா கண்டபோது, யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை செமாயாவுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர் சொன்னது: அவர்கள் தங்களைத் தாழ்த்தினார்கள், ஆகையால் அவர்களை அழிக்கமாட்டேன்; என் உக்கிரம் சீஷாக்கைக்கொண்டு எருசலேமின்மேல் ஊற்றப்படாதபடிக்கு, அவர்களுக்குக் கொஞ்சம் சகாயத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்.
8 Neuerthelesse they shalbe his sernants: so shall they knowe my seruice, and the seruice of the kingdomes of the earth.
௮ஆனாலும் என்னை சேவிக்கிறதற்கும், அந்நிய தேசங்களின் ராஜ்யங்களை சேவிக்கிறதற்கும் இருக்கிற வித்தியாசத்தை அவர்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு அவனை சேவிக்கிறவர்களாவார்கள் என்றார்.
9 Then Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem, and tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house he tooke euen all, and hee caried away the shields of golde, which Salomon had made.
௯அப்படியே எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய சீஷாக் எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக வந்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொக்கிஷங்களையும், ராஜாவுடைய அரண்மனைப் பொக்கிஷங்களையும், சாலொமோன் செய்வித்த பொன்கேடயங்கள் ஆகிய சகலத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டான்.
10 In stead whereof King Rehoboam made shieldes of brasse, and committed them to the handes of the chiefe of the garde, that wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
௧0அவைகளுக்கு பதிலாக ராஜாவாகிய ரெகொபெயாம் வெண்கலக் கேடயங்களைச் செய்து, அவைகளை ராஜாவின் வாசற்படியைக் காக்கிற பாதுகாவலருடைய தலைவரின் கையில் ஒப்புவித்தான்.
11 And when the King entred into the house of the Lord, the garde came and bare them and brought them againe vnto the garde chamber.
௧௧ராஜா யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, அரண்மனைக் காவலர் வந்து, அவைகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், திரும்பத் தங்கள் அறையிலே வைப்பார்கள்.
12 And because hee humbled himselfe, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that hee woulde not destroy all together. And also in Iudah the things prospered.
௧௨அவன் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்தினதால், யெகோவா அவனை முழுவதும் அழிக்காமல் அவருடைய கோபம் அவனைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினது; யூதாவிலே இன்னும் சில காரியங்கள் ஒழுங்குள்ளதாயிருந்தது.
13 So King Rehoboam was strong in Ierusalem and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yeres in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his Name there. And his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonitesse.
௧௩அப்படியே ராஜாவாகிய ரெகொபெயாம் எருசலேமிலே தன்னைத் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; ரெகொபெயாம் ராஜாவாகிறபோது நாற்பத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்து, யெகோவா தம்முடைய நாமம் விளங்கும்படி இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களிலெல்லாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நகரமாகிய எருசலேமிலே பதினேழு வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; அம்மோன் வம்சத்தாளான அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் நாகமாள்.
14 And he did euill: for hee prepared not his heart to seeke the Lord.
௧௪அவன் யெகோவாவை தேடுகிறதற்குத் தன் இருதயத்தை நேராக்காமல் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.
15 The actes also of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the booke of Shemaiah the Prophet, and Iddo the Seer, in rehearsing the genealogie? and there was warre alway betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam.
௧௫ரெகொபெயாமின் ஆரம்பம்முதல் கடைசிவரையுள்ள அனைத்து செயல்களும் செமாயாவின் புத்தகத்திலும், தரிசனம் காண்கிறவனாகிய இத்தோவின் வம்ச அட்டவணையிலும் அல்லவோ எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; ரெகொபெயாமுக்கும் யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் எல்லா நாட்களும் போர் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the citie of Dauid, and Abiiah his sonne reigned in his stead.
௧௬ரெகொபெயாம் இறந்தபின் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவன் மகனாகிய அபியா அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
