2 Chronicles 12
1 And when Rehoboam had established the kingdome and made it strong, hee forsooke the Lawe of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
೧ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಲಗೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
2 Therefore in the fift yeere of King Rehoboam, Shishak the King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem (because they had transgressed against the Lord)
೨ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ದ್ರೋಹಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಐದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಶೀಶಕನು, ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟನು.
3 With twelue hundreth charets, and three score thousande horsemen, and the people were without nomber, that came with him from Egypt, euen the Lubims, Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
೩ಸಾವಿರದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅರುವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯರಾದ ಲೂಬ್ಯ, ಸುಕ್ಕೀಯ, ಕೂಷ್ಯ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು,
4 And he tooke the strong cities which were of Iudah, and came vnto Ierusalem.
೪ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶದ ಕೋಟೆ ಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದನು.
5 Then came Shemaiah the Prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Iudah, that were gathered together in Hierusalem, because of Shishak, and sayde vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord, Ye haue forsaken me, therefore haue I also left you in the handes of Shishak.
೫ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಶೆಮಾಯನು ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೂ, ಶೀಶಕನಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ನಾಯಕರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ‘ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶೀಶಕನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ’” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
6 Then the princes of Israel, and the King humbled themselues, and sayde, The Lord is iust.
೬ಆಗ ಅರಸನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಾಯಕರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
7 And when the Lord sawe that they humbled themselues, the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, They haue humbled theselues, therefore I will not destroy them, but I will sende them deliuerance shortly, and my wrath shall not bee powred out vpon Ierusalem by the hand of Shishak.
೭ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಶೆಮಾಯನಿಗೆ, “ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇವರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವೆನು; ಶೀಶಕನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ರೌದ್ರವನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿದು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
8 Neuerthelesse they shalbe his sernants: so shall they knowe my seruice, and the seruice of the kingdomes of the earth.
೮ಆದರೂ ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗೂ ಅನ್ಯರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಸೇವೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವಂತೆ ಇವರು ಶೀಶಕನಿಗೆ ದಾಸರಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 Then Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem, and tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house he tooke euen all, and hee caried away the shields of golde, which Salomon had made.
೯ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯ ರಾಜನಾದ ಶೀಶಕನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.
10 In stead whereof King Rehoboam made shieldes of brasse, and committed them to the handes of the chiefe of the garde, that wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
೧೦ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಮನೆಯ ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮೈಗಾವಲಿನವರ ದಳಪತಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
11 And when the King entred into the house of the Lord, the garde came and bare them and brought them againe vnto the garde chamber.
೧೧ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೈಗಾವಲಿನವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೋಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಡುವರು.
12 And because hee humbled himselfe, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that hee woulde not destroy all together. And also in Iudah the things prospered.
೧೨ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಸುಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ತೋರಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮೇಲಣ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
13 So King Rehoboam was strong in Ierusalem and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yeres in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his Name there. And his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonitesse.
೧೩ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆಳುವವನಾದನು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಲ್ವತ್ತೊಂದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯಳಾದ ನಯಮಾ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಅವನ ತಾಯಿ.
14 And he did euill: for hee prepared not his heart to seeke the Lord.
೧೪ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನಸ್ಸುಮಾಡದೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾದನು.
15 The actes also of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the booke of Shemaiah the Prophet, and Iddo the Seer, in rehearsing the genealogie? and there was warre alway betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam.
೧೫ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪೂರ್ವೋತ್ತರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಶೆಮಾಯ, ದರ್ಶಕನಾದ ಇದ್ದೋ ಎಂಬುವರ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಗಳ ವಂಶಾವಳಿ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಯುದ್ಧನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the citie of Dauid, and Abiiah his sonne reigned in his stead.
೧೬ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು, ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಯನು ಅವನ ನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದನು.
