2 Chronicles 11

1 And when Rehoboam was come to Ierusalem, he gathered of the house of Iudah and Beniamin nine score thousande chosen men of warre to fight against Israel, and to bring the kingdome againe to Rehoboam.

۱ و چون رحبعام وارد اورشلیم شد، صدو هشتاد هزار نفر برگزیده جنگ آزموده را از خاندان یهودا و بنیامین جمع کرد تا بااسرائیل مقاتله نموده، سلطنت را به رحبعام برگرداند.

2 But the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

۲ اما کلام خداوند بر شمعیا مرد خدانازل شده، گفت:

3 Speake vnto Rehoboam, the sonne of Salomon King of Iudah, and to all Israel that are in Iudah, and Beniamin, saying,

۳ «به رحبعام بن سلیمان پادشاه یهودا و به تمامی اسرائیلیان که در یهودا و بنیامین می‌باشند خطاب کرده، بگو:

4 Thus sayth the Lord, Ye shall not goe vp, nor fight against your brethren: returne euery man to his house: for this thing is done of me. They obeyed therfore the word of the Lord, and returned from going against Ieroboam.

۴ خداوند چنین می‌گوید: برمیایید و با برادران خود جنگ منمایید. هرکس به خانه خود برگردد زیرا که این امر از جانب من شده است.» و ایشان کلام خداوندرا شنیدند و از رفتن به ضد یربعام برگشتند.

5 And Rehoboam dwelt in Ierusalem, and buylt strong cities in Iudah.

۵ و رحبعام در اورشلیم ساکن شد و شهرهای حصاردار در یهودا ساخت.

6 Hee buylt also Beth-lehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,

۶ پس بیت لحم و عیتام و تقوع

7 And Beth-zur, and Shoco, and Adullam,

۷ و بیت صور و سوکو و عدلام،

8 And Gath, and Maresha, and Ziph,

۸ وجت و مریشه و زیف،

9 And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,

۹ و ادورایم و لاکیش وعزیقه،

10 And Zorah, and Aialon, and Hebron, which were in Iudah and Beniamin, strong cities.

۱۰ و صرعه و ایلون و حبرون را بنا کرد که شهرهای حصاردار در یهودا و بنیامین می‌باشند.

11 And he repaired the strong holdes and put captaines in them, and store of vitaile, and oyle and wine.

۱۱ و حصارها را محکم ساخت و در آنها سرداران و انبارهای ماکولات و روغن و شراب گذاشت.

12 And in all cities he put shieldes and speares, and made them exceeding strong: so Iudah and Beniamin were his.

۱۲ و در هر شهری سپرها و نیزه‌ها گذاشته، آنها رابسیار محکم گردانید، پس یهودا و بنیامین با اوماندند.

13 And the Priests and the Leuites that were in all Israel, resorted vnto him out of all their coastes.

۱۳ و کاهنان و لاویانی که در تمامی اسرائیل بودند از همه حدود خود نزد او جمع شدند.

14 For the Leuites left their suburbes and their possession, and came to Iudah and to Ierusalem: for Ieroboam and his sonnes had cast them out from ministring in the Priestes office vnto the Lord.

۱۴ زیراکه لاویان اراضی شهرها و املاک خود راترک کرده، به یهودا و اورشلیم آمدند چونکه یربعام و پسرانش ایشان را از کهانت یهوه اخراج کرده بودند.

15 And he ordeyned him Priests for the hie places, and for the deuils and for the calues which he had made.

۱۵ و او برای خود به جهت مکان های بلند و دیوها و گوساله هایی که ساخته بود کاهنان معین کرد.

16 And after the Leuites there came to Ierusalem of all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heartes to seeke the Lord God of Israel, to offer vnto the Lord God of their fathers.

۱۶ و بعد از ایشان آنانی که دلهای خودرا به طلب یهوه خدای اسرائیل مشغول ساخته بودند از تمامی اسباط اسرائیل به اورشلیم آمدندتا برای یهوه خدای پدران خود قربانی بگذرانند.

17 So they strengthened the kingdome of Iudah, and made Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon mightie, three yeere long: for three yeere they walked in in the way of Dauid and Salomon.

۱۷ پس سلطنت یهودا را مستحکم ساختند ورحبعام بن سلیمان را سه سال تقویت کردند، زیراکه سه سال به طریق داود و سلیمان سلوک نمودند.

18 And Rehoboam tooke him Mahalath ye daughter of Ierimoth the sonne of Dauid to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the sonne of Ishai,

۱۸ و رحبعام محله دختر یریموت بن داود وابیحایل دختر الیاب بن یسی را به زنی گرفت.

19 Which bare him sonnes Ieush, and Shemariah, and Zaham.

۱۹ واو برای وی پسران یعنی یعوش و شمریا و زهم رازایید.

20 And after her he tooke Maakah ye daughter of Absalom which bare him Abiiah, and Atthai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

۲۰ و بعد از او معکه دختر ابشالوم را گرفت و او برای وی ابیا و عتای و زبزا و شلومیت رازایید.

21 And Rehoboam loued Maakah ye daughter of Absalom aboue all his wiues and his concubines: for he tooke eighteene wiues, and three score concubines, and begate eyght and twentie sonnes, and three score daughters.

۲۱ و رحبعام، معکه دختر ابشالوم را از جمیع زنان و متعه های خود زیاده دوست می‌داشت، زیرا که هجده زن و شصت متعه گرفته بود و بیست و هشت پسر و شصت دختر تولیدنمود.

22 And Rehoboam made Abiiah the sonne of Maakah the chiefe ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him King.

۲۲ و رحبعام ابیا پسر معکه را در میان برادرانش سرور و رئیس ساخت، زیراکه می‌خواست او را به پادشاهی نصب نماید.

23 And he taught him: and dispersed all his sonnes throughout all the countreis of Iudah and Beniamin vnto euery strong citie: and hee gaue them aboundance of vitaile, and desired many wiues.

۲۳ وعاقلانه رفتار نموده، همه پسران خود را درتمامی بلاد یهودا و بنیامین در جمیع شهرهای حصاردار متفرق ساخت، و برای ایشان آذوقه بسیار قرار داد و زنان بسیار خواست.
