2 Chronicles 1
1 Then Salomon the sonne of Dauid was confirmed in his kingdome: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him highly.
E Salomão filho de Davi foi estabelecido em seu reino; e o SENHOR seu Deus foi com ele, e lhe engrandeceu muito.
2 And Salomon spake vnto all Israel, to the captaines of thousandes, and of hundreths, and to the iudges, and to all the gouernours in all Israel, euen the chiefe fathers.
E chamou Salomão a todo Israel, comandantes, líderes de centenas, e juízes, e a todos os príncipes de todo Israel, cabeças de famílias.
3 So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.
E foi Salomão, e com ele toda esta congregação, ao alto que havia em Gibeão; porque ali estava o tabernáculo do testemunho de Deus, que Moisés servo do SENHOR havia feito no deserto.
4 But the Arke of God had Dauid brought vp from Kiriath-iearim, when Dauid had made preparation for it: for he had pitched a tent for it in Ierusalem.
Mas Davi havia trazido a arca de Deus de Quriate-Jearim ao lugar que ele lhe havia preparado; porque ele lhe havia estendido uma tenda em Jerusalém.
5 Moreouer the brasen altar that Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur had made, did hee set before the Tabernacle of the Lord: and Salomon and the Congregation sought it.
Assim o altar de bronze que havia feito Bezalel filho de Uri filho de Hur, estava ali diante do tabernáculo do SENHOR, ao qual Salomão foi a consultar com aquela congregação.
6 And Salomon offred there before the Lord vpon the brasen altar that was in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: euen a thousand burnt offrings offred he vpon it.
Subiu, pois, Salomão ali diante do SENHOR, ao altar de bronze que estava no tabernáculo do testemunho, e ofereceu sobre ele mil holocaustos.
7 The same night did God appeare vnto Salomon, and sayde vnto him, Aske what I shall giue thee.
E aquela noite apareceu Deus a Salomão, e disse-lhe: Pede o que queres que eu te dê.
8 And Salomon sayde vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father and hast made me to reigne in his stead.
E Salomão disse a Deus: Tu fizeste com Davi meu pai grande misericórdia, e a mim me puseste por rei em seu lugar.
9 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be true: for thou hast made mee King ouer a great people, like to the dust of the earth.
Confirme-se, pois, agora, ó SENHOR Deus, tua palavra dada a Davi meu pai; porque tu me puseste por rei sobre um povo em multidão como o pó da terra.
10 Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?
Dá-me agora sabedoria e conhecimento, para sair e entrar diante deste povo: porque quem poderá julgar este teu povo tão grande?
11 And God sayde to Salomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, treasures nor honour, nor the liues of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked for thee wisdome and knowledge that thou mightest iudge my people, ouer whome I haue made thee King,
E disse Deus a Salomão: Porquanto isto foi em teu coração, que não pediste riquezas, riqueza, ou glória, nem a alma dos que te querem mal, nem pediste muitos dias, mas sim que pediste para ti sabedoria e conhecimento para julgar meu povo, sobre o qual te constituí por rei.
12 Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.
Sabedoria e conhecimento te são dados; e também te darei riquezas, bens, e glória, que nunca houve nos reis que foram antes de ti, nem depois de ti haverá tais.
13 Then Salomon came from the hie place, that was at Gibeon, to Ierusalem from before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and reigned ouer Israel.
E voltou Salomão a Jerusalém do alto que estava em Gibeão, de ante o tabernáculo do testemunho; e reinou sobre Israel.
14 And Salomon gathered the charets and horesemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome he placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
E juntou Salomão carros e cavaleiros; e teve mil e quatrocentos carros, e doze mil cavaleiros, os quais pôs nas cidades dos carros, e com o rei em Jerusalém.
15 And the King gaue siluer and gold at Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde figge trees, that are abundantly in the playne.
E pôs o rei prata e ouro em Jerusalém como pedras, e cedro como sicômoros que nascem nos campos em abundância.
16 Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the fine linen for a price.
E traziam cavalos do Egito e de Coa para Salomão; pois os mercadores do rei [os] compravam de Coa por [um certo] preço.
17 They came vp also and brought out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer, that is an horse for an hundreth and fiftie: and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites, and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
E subiam, e tiravam do Egito, um carro por seiscentas peças de prata, e um cavalo por cento e cinquenta: e assim se tiravam por meio deles para todos os reis dos Heteus, e para os reis da Síria.
