2 Chronicles 1
1 Then Salomon the sonne of Dauid was confirmed in his kingdome: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him highly.
१परमेश्वर देव सोबत असल्याने दाविदाचा पुत्र शलमोन एक बलाढ्य राज्यकर्ता झाला व परमेश्वराने त्यास फार सामर्थ्यवान केले.
2 And Salomon spake vnto all Israel, to the captaines of thousandes, and of hundreths, and to the iudges, and to all the gouernours in all Israel, euen the chiefe fathers.
२शलमोन सर्व इस्राएल लोकांशी म्हणजेच, सरदार, अधिकारी, न्यायाधीश, इस्राएलमधील वाडवडीलांच्या घराण्यांचे प्रमुख या सर्वांशी बोलला.
3 So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.
३मग तो आणि त्याच्या बरोबरची ही सर्व मंडळी गिबोन येथील उच्चस्थानी गेली. कारण परमेश्वराचा दर्शनमंडप तेथे होता, कारण परमेश्वराचा सेवक मोशे आणि इस्राएल लोक रानात असतांना मोशेने तो बनवला होता.
4 But the Arke of God had Dauid brought vp from Kiriath-iearim, when Dauid had made preparation for it: for he had pitched a tent for it in Ierusalem.
४दाविदाने देवाचा कोश किर्याथ-यारीमाहून वर यरूशलेम येथे आणला होता. यरूशलेमेमध्ये तो ठेवण्यासाठी दाविदाने जागा तयार केली होती. कराराच्या कोशासाठी त्याने यरूशलेमेमध्ये एक तंबू उभारला होता.
5 Moreouer the brasen altar that Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur had made, did hee set before the Tabernacle of the Lord: and Salomon and the Congregation sought it.
५हुराचा पुत्र उरी याचा पुत्र बसालेल याने पितळी वेदी केली होती. ती वेदी गिबोन येथील परमेश्वराच्या निवसमंडपासमोर होती, म्हणून शलमोन आपल्याबरोबरच्या इस्राएल लोकांसह गिबोन येथे परमेश्वराचा सल्ला घेण्यासाठी गेला.
6 And Salomon offred there before the Lord vpon the brasen altar that was in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: euen a thousand burnt offrings offred he vpon it.
६दर्शनमंडपाजवळ परमेश्वरासमोर पितळी वेदी होती तेथे शलमोनाने एक हजार होमार्पणे केली.
7 The same night did God appeare vnto Salomon, and sayde vnto him, Aske what I shall giue thee.
७त्या रात्री देवाने शलमोनाला दर्शन दिले तो म्हणाला, “शलमोना, तुला काय हवय ते माग!”
8 And Salomon sayde vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father and hast made me to reigne in his stead.
८शलमोन परमेश्वरास म्हणाला, “माझे पिता दावीद यांच्यावर तुझी फार कृपादृष्टी होती, त्यांच्या जागी तू मला राजा म्हणून निवडलेस.
9 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be true: for thou hast made mee King ouer a great people, like to the dust of the earth.
९आता, हे परमेश्वर देवा, तू माझे पिता दावीद यांना दिलेले वचन पूर्ण कर, कारण ज्या राष्ट्रांचा तू मला राजा केले आहेस, त्याच्या प्रजेची संख्या पृथ्वीवरील मातीच्या रज: कणांसारखी विपुल आहे.
10 Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?
१०या लोकांस उचित मार्गाने नेण्यासाठी मला शहाणपण आणि ज्ञान दे, तुझ्या एवढ्या बहुसंख्य लोकांवर राज्य करणे कोणाला जमणार?”
11 And God sayde to Salomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, treasures nor honour, nor the liues of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked for thee wisdome and knowledge that thou mightest iudge my people, ouer whome I haue made thee King,
११तेव्हा परमेश्वर देव शलमोनाला म्हणाला, “हे तुझ्या मनात होते, आणि तू धनसंपत्ती, ऐश्वर्य किंवा सन्मान यांची मागणी केली नाहीस तसेच तुझा द्वेष करणाऱ्या शत्रूंचाही नि: पात व्हावा असेही मागितले नाहीस, तसेच स्वत: साठी दीर्घायुष्य मागितले नाहीस तर ज्यांचा मी तुला राजा केले त्या प्रजेवर राज्य करता यावे म्हणून तू शहाणपण आणि ज्ञान मागितलेस;
12 Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.
१२आता तुला ज्ञान व बुद्धी देण्यात आली आहेत; तुझ्या पुर्वीच्या कोणाही राजाला मिळाले नाही व तुझ्यानंतर कोणत्याही राजाला मिळाले नाही एवढे ऐश्वर्य, संपत्ती व बहुमान मी तुला देईन.”
13 Then Salomon came from the hie place, that was at Gibeon, to Ierusalem from before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and reigned ouer Israel.
१३मग शलमोन गिबोनाच्या उच्चस्थानाहून, दर्शनमंडपासमोरून यरूशलेमेस आला, व इस्राएलावर राज्य करू लागला.
14 And Salomon gathered the charets and horesemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome he placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
१४शलमोनाने घोडे आणि चौदाशे रथ यांची जमवाजमव केली. त्याच्याकडे बारा हजार घोडेस्वार जमा झाले. त्यांना त्याने रथासाठी जागा असलेल्या नगरांमध्ये ठेवले, व काही जनांना त्याने आपल्याजवळ यरूशलेम येथेच ठेवून घेतले.
15 And the King gaue siluer and gold at Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde figge trees, that are abundantly in the playne.
१५राजाने यरूशलेमेमध्ये चांदी व सोन्याचा एवढा संचय केला की, ते दगडांप्रमाणे विपुल झाले तसेच गंधसरूचे लाकूड पश्चिमेकडील डोंगराळ भागात उंबराचे लाकूड जसे विपुल होते तसे केले.
16 Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the fine linen for a price.
१६मिसर आणि क्यू येथून शलमोनाने घोडे मागवले होते. राजाचे व्यापारी क्यू येथे घोडयांची खरेदी करत.
17 They came vp also and brought out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer, that is an horse for an hundreth and fiftie: and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites, and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
१७त्यांनी प्रत्येक रथ सहाशे शेकेल चांदीला व प्रत्येक घोडा दिडशें शेकेल चांदीला या प्रमाणे मिसरामधून ही खरेदी करून मग ते हेच रथ आणि घोडे हित्ती व अरामी राजांना विकले.
