< 1 Timothy 5 >

1 Rebuke not an Elder, but exhort him as a father, and the yonger men as brethren,
Mitong to zoeh hmah, ampa baktiah poek ah; thendoengnawk to nawkamyanawk baktiah poek ah;
2 The elder women as mothers, the yonger as sisters, with all purenesse.
kaciim poekhaih hoiah nongpata mitongnawk to amno baktiah poek ah; tanglanawk loe tanuh tang baktiah poek ah.
3 Honour widowes, which are widowes in deede.
Tangtang lamhmainawk to abom oh.
4 But if any widowe haue children or nephewes, let them learne first to shewe godlinesse towarde their owne house, and to recompense their kinred: for that is an honest thing and acceptable before God.
Toe kawbaktih lamhmai mah doeh caa a tawnh, to tih ai boeh loe a caa ih caa patoeng to tawn nahaeloe, am no hoi ampa khetzawn let hanah, im ah tahmenhaih amtueng o sak hmaloe nasoe, to tiah sakhaih loe Sithaw mah tapom thai koi kahoih hmuen ah oh.
5 And shee that is a widowe in deede and left alone, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and praiers night and day.
Angmah bueng kaom lamhmai tangtang loe, Sithaw khaeah amha moe, aqum athun lawkthuihaih hoiah tahmenhaih a hnik.
6 But shee that liueth in pleasure, is dead, while shee liueth.
Toe taksa koehhaih baktiah khosah lamhmai loe a hing e, kadueh kami ah ni oh.
7 These things therefore warne them of, that they may be blamelesse.
Nihcae mah coek koi kaom ai ah khosak o thai hanah, hae loknawk hae thui ah.
8 If there bee any that prouideth not for his owne, and namely for them of his housholde, hee denieth the faith, and is worse then an infidell.
Angmah ih nawkamya khetzawn koeh ai kami, angmah ih imthong doeh khenzawn ai kami loe, tanghaih caehtaak kami ah oh, anih loe tang ai kami pongah nung kue.
9 Let not a widow be taken into the number vnder three score yeere olde, that hath beene the wife of one husband,
Lamhmai loe saning quitaruk to akoep ai nahaeloe, lamhmai cabu thungah pakun o hmah, anih loe sava maeto khue tawnh moe,
10 And well reported of for good woorkes: if shee haue nourished her children, if shee haue lodged the strangers, if shee haue washed the Saintes feete, if shee haue ministred vnto them which were in aduersitie, if shee were continually giuen vnto euery good woorke.
kahoih hmuen sakhaih bangah ahmin kaom kami; a caanawk khenzawn thai kami, angvinnawk khenzawn thai kami, kaciim kaminawk ih khok pasae pae kami, amtang kaminawk khenzawn thai kami, kahoih toknawk boih thahmaehaih hoiah sah kami ah oh han angaih.
11 But refuse the yonger widowes: for when they haue begun to waxe wanton against Christ, they will marrie,
Saning kanawk lamhmainawk loe cazin thungah akunsak hmah: tipongah tih nahaeloe nihcae loe taksa koehhaih mah pazawk pongah, Kri mah patuk ih lok to tahngai o ai, sava sak han a koeh o;
12 Hauing damnation, because they haue broken the first faith.
tanghaih tangsuek to a pahnawt o ving pongah, lokcaekhaih thungah akun o.
13 And likewise also being idle they learne to goe about from house to house: yea, they are not onely ydle, but also pratlers and busibodies, speaking things which are not comely.
To khue ai thaset o moe, im maeto pacoeng maeto ah a caeh o; thaset khue ai ah, lokprong lok to a thuih o moe, tok kong o ai, a thuih o han ai koi hmuennawk to a thuih o.
14 I will therefore that the yonger women marie, and beare children, and gouerne the house, and giue none occasion to the aduersary to speake euill.
To pongah saning kanawk lamhmainawk loe sava sah o nasoe loe, caa sah o nasoe, imthung ah khokhan o nasoe, kasae thuihaih atue karaem to misa khaeah a paek o han ai ah tok a sak o to ka koeh haih.
15 For certaine are alreadie turned backe after Satan.
Thoemto kaminawk loe lam amkhraeng o moe, Setan hnukah bang o boeh.
16 If any faithfull man, or faithfull woman haue widowes, let them minister vnto them, and let not the Church bee charged, that there may bee sufficient for them that are widowes in deede.
Tanghaih tawn kami nongpa maw, to tih ai boeh loe nongpata im ah lamhmai to om nahaeloe, kricaabu raihaih paek han ai ah, anih mah to lamhmai to kahoih ah khenzawn nasoe; to tiah ni khenzawnkung tawn ai lamhmai tangtangnawk to kricaabu mah khen thai tih.
17 The Elders that rule well, let them be had in double honour, specially they which labour in the worde and doctrine,
Lokpui koekah tamthanglok thuihaih hoi patukhaih bangah tha pathok, Kricaabu khetzawn kop kacoehtanawk loe, alet hnetto pakoehhaih hnuk han krak.
18 For the Scripture sayeth, Thou shalt not mousell the mouth of the oxe that treadeth out the corne: and, The labourer is worthie of his wages.
Cabu mah, Cang atii maitaw ih tahmawh to moem pae hmah, tiah thuih. Toksah kami loe sakhaih atho hnuk han krak, tiah thuih.
19 Against an Elder receiue none accusation, but vnder two or three witnesses.
Hnukung hnetto maw, thumto maw om ai ah loe, kricaa zaehoikung kacoehta zae nethaih to tapom o hmah.
20 Them that sinne, rebuke openly, that the rest also may feare.
Hmuen sahpazae kami to kaminawk boih hma ah thuitaek ah, to tiah ni kalah kaminawk mah doeh zii o tih.
21 I charge thee before God and the Lord Iesus Christ, and the elect Angels, that thou obserue these thinges without preferring one to an other, and doe nothing partially.
Maeto hoi maeto mikhmai khethaih kaom ai, pathlaenghaih palungthin tawn ai ah hae loknawk na pazui thai hanah, Sithaw, Angraeng Jesu Kri hoi qoih ih van kaminawk hmaa ah kang thaisak.
22 Lay handes suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sinnes: keepe thy selfe pure.
Mi kawbaktih nuiah doeh ban to karangah koeng hmah, minawk zaehaih thungah doeh athum hmah: nangmah hoi nangmah to ciimcai ah khosah ah.
23 Drinke no longer water, but vse a litle wine for thy stomakes sake, and thine often infirmities.
Zok hoih ai moe, ngantui ai ah na oh toepsoep pongah, tui khue nae ai ah, misurtui zetta patoh ah.
24 Some mens sinnes are open before hand, and goe before vnto iudgement: but some mens folowe after.
Thoemto kaminawk ih zaehaih loe amtueng lawngkawng, to pongah lokcaekhaih to tong o roep; thoemto kaminawk ih zaehaih loe amzaita hoiah ni amtueng.
25 Likewise also the good woorkes are manifest before hande, and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.
To baktih toengah thoemto kaminawk mah sak ih kahoih hmuen doeh amtueng roep; kamtueng roep ai zaehaihnawk doeh anghawk thai mak ai.
