1 Timothy 2
1 I Exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giuing of thanks be made for all men,
Mi deseo es, antes que nada, que hagan peticiones, oraciones, intercesiones acción de gracias por la humanidad;
2 For Kings, and for all that are in authoritie, that we may leade a quiet and a peaceable life, in all godlinesse and honestie.
Para los reyes y todos aquellos en autoridad; para que podamos tener una vida tranquila y calmada llena de reverencia a Dios y comportamiento serio.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Sauiour,
Esto es bueno y agradable a los ojos de Dios nuestro Salvador;
4 Who will that all men shalbe saued, and come vnto the acknowledging of the trueth.
Cuyo deseo es que todos los hombres puedan tener la salvación y llegar al conocimiento de lo que es verdadero.
5 For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus,
Porque hay un Dios y un mediador entre Dios y los hombres, el hombre Cristo Jesús,
6 Who gaue himselfe a ransome for all men, to be that testimonie in due time,
Que se entregó a sí mismo como ofrenda por todos; testimonio de lo cual debía ser dado en el momento correcto;
7 Whereunto I am ordeined a preacher and an Apostle (I speake the trueth in Christ, and lie not) euen a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and veritie.
Y de esto me hice predicador y apóstol (lo que digo es verdad en Cristo, no miento) y un maestro de los gentiles en la fe verdadera.
8 I will therefore that the men pray, euery where lifting vp pure hands without wrath, or douting.
Es mi deseo, entonces, que en todo lugar los hombres se entreguen a sí mismos a la oración, levantando manos santas, sin ira ni discusión.
9 Likewise also the women, that they aray themselues in comely apparell, with shamefastnes and modestie, not with broyded heare, or gold, or pearles, or costly apparell,
Y que las mujeres pueden estar vestidas con ropa sencilla, con pudor y modestia; no con cabello trenzado y oro o joyas o túnicas de gran precio;
10 But (as becommeth women that professe the feare of God) with good workes.
Pero vestido de buenas obras, como es correcto para las mujeres que viven en el temor de Dios.
11 Let the woman learne in silence with all subiection.
Permita que una mujer silenciosamente tome el lugar de un alumno y esté bajo autoridad.
12 I permit not a woman to teache, neither to vsurpe authoritie ouer the man, but to be in silence.
En mi opinión, es correcto que una mujer no sea maestra, o que gobierne a un hombre, sino que esté callada.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eue.
Porque Adán fue formado primero, luego Eva;
14 And Adam was not deceiued, but the woman was deceiued, and was in the transgression.
Y Adán no fue engañado, sino que la mujer, siendo engañada, cayó en pecado.
15 Notwithstanding, through bearing of children she shalbe saued if they continue in faith, and loue, and holines with modestie.
Pero si continúa con fe y amor y santidad, con modestia ella se salvará engendrando hijos.
