1 Thessalonians 5
1 Bvt of the times and seasons, brethren, yee haue no neede that I write vnto you.
௧சகோதரர்களே, இவைகள் நடக்கும் நாட்களையும் நேரங்களையும்குறித்து உங்களுக்கு எழுதவேண்டியதில்லை.
2 For ye your selues knowe perfectly, that the day of the Lord shall come, euen as a thiefe in the night.
௨இரவிலே திருடன் வருகிறவிதமாகக் கர்த்தருடைய நாள் வருமென்று நீங்களே நன்றாக அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.
3 For when they shall say, Peace, and safetie, then shall come vpon them sudden destruction, as the trauaile vpon a woman with childe, and they shall not escape,
௩சமாதானமும் பாதுகாப்பும் உண்டென்று அவர்கள் சொல்லும்போது, கர்ப்பவதியானவளுக்கு வேதனை வருகிறதுபோல, அழிவு திடீரென அவர்கள்மேல் வரும்; அவர்கள் தப்பிப்போவதில்லை.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkenes, that that day shall come on you, as it were a thiefe.
௪சகோதரர்களே, அந்த நாள் திருடனைப்போல உங்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாக, நீங்கள் இருளில் இருக்கிறவர்களில்லையே.
5 Yee are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, neither of darkenesse.
௫நீங்களெல்லோரும் வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளும், பகலின் பிள்ளைகளுமாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்; நாம் இரவிற்கும் இருளுக்கும் உரியவர்களல்ல.
6 Therefore let vs not sleepe as do other, but let vs watch and be sober.
௬ஆகவே, மற்றவர்கள் தூங்குகிறதுபோல நாமும் தூங்காமல், விழித்துக்கொண்டு தெளிந்தவர்களாக இருக்கக்கடவோம்.
7 For they that sleepe, sleepe in the night, and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night.
௭தூங்குகிறவர்கள் இரவிலே தூங்குவார்கள்; வெறிகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் இரவிலே வெறிகொள்ளுவார்கள்.
8 But let vs which are of the day, be sober, putting on the brest plate of faith and loue, and of the hope of saluation for an helmet.
௮பகலுக்குரியவர்களாகிய நாமோ தெளிந்தவர்களாக இருந்து, விசுவாசம், அன்பு என்னும் மார்புக்கவசத்தையும், இரட்சிப்பின் நம்பிக்கையென்னும் தலைக்கவசத்தையும் அணிந்துகொண்டிருக்கக்கடவோம்.
9 For God hath not appointed vs vnto wrath, but to obtaine saluation by the meanes of our Lord Iesus Christ,
௯தேவன் நம்மைத் தண்டிப்பதற்காக நியமிக்காமல், நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாக இரட்சிப்படைவதற்கென்று நியமித்தார்.
10 Which died for vs, that whether we wake or sleepe, we should liue together with him.
௧0நாம் உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர்களானாலும், மரித்தவர்களானாலும், அவரோடு நாம் ஒன்றாகப் பிழைத்திருப்பதற்காக அவர் நமக்காக மரித்தாரே.
11 Wherefore exhort one another, and edifie one another, euen as ye doe.
௧௧ஆகவே, நீங்கள் செய்துவருகிறபடியே, ஒருவரையொருவர் தேற்றி, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பக்திவளர்ச்சி உண்டாகும்படிச் செய்யுங்கள்.
12 Nowe we beseeche you, brethren, that ye acknowledge them, which labour among you, and are ouer you in the Lord, and admonish you,
௧௨அன்றியும், சகோதரர்களே, உங்களுக்குள்ளே கடுமையாக உழைத்து, கர்த்தருக்குள் உங்களை விசாரணை செய்கிறவர்களாக இருந்து, உங்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லுகிறவர்களை நீங்கள் மதித்து,
13 That yee haue them in singular loue for their workes sake. Bee at peace among your selues.
௧௩அவர்களுடைய செயல்களின் அடிப்படையில் அவர்களை மிகவும் அன்பாக நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்படி உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறோம். உங்களுக்குள்ளே சமாதானமாக இருங்கள்.
14 We desire you, brethren, admonish them that are out of order: comfort ye feeble minded: beare with the weake: be pacient toward all men.
௧௪மேலும், சகோதரர்களே, நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறதென்னவென்றால், ஒழுங்கில்லாதவர்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லுங்கள், திடனற்றவர்களைத் தேற்றுங்கள், பலவீனரைத் தாங்குங்கள், எல்லோரிடத்திலும் நீடியசாந்தமாக இருங்கள்.
15 See that none recompense euil for euil vnto any man: but euer follow that which is good, both toward your selues, and toward all men.
௧௫ஒருவனும் மற்றொருவன் செய்யும் தீமைக்குத் தீமைசெய்யாதபடி பாருங்கள்; உங்களுக்குள்ளும் மற்ற அனைவருக்குள்ளும் எப்பொழுதும் நன்மைசெய்ய விரும்புங்கள்.
16 Reioyce euermore.
௧௬எப்பொழுதும் சந்தோஷமாக இருங்கள்.
17 Pray continually.
௧௭இடைவிடாமல் ஜெபம்செய்யுங்கள்.
18 In all thinges giue thankes: for this is the will of God in Christ Iesus toward you.
௧௮எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் நன்றி சொல்லுங்கள்; அப்படிச் செய்வதே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிற்குள் உங்களைக்குறித்து தேவனுடைய விருப்பமாக இருக்கிறது.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
௧௯ஆவியை அவித்துப்போடாமலிருங்கள்.
20 Despise not prophecying.
௨0தீர்க்கதரிசனங்களை சாதாரணமாக எண்ணாதிருங்கள்.
21 Try all things, and keepe that which is good.
௨௧எல்லாவற்றையும் சோதித்துப்பார்த்து, நலமானதைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
22 Absteine from all appearance of euill.
௨௨தீமையாகத் தோன்றுகிற எல்லாவற்றையும்விட்டு விலகுங்கள்.
23 Nowe the very God of peace sanctifie you throughout: and I pray God that your whole spirite and soule and body, may be kept blamelesse vnto the comming of our Lord Iesus Christ.
௨௩சமாதானத்தின் தேவன்தாமே உங்களை முற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்குவாராக. உங்களுடைய ஆவி, ஆத்துமா, சரீரம் முழுவதும், நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வரும்போது குற்றமற்றதாயிருக்கும்படி காக்கப்படுவதாக.
24 Faithfull is hee which calleth you, which will also doe it.
௨௪உங்களை அழைக்கிறவர் உண்மையுள்ளவர், அவர் அப்படியே செய்வார்.
25 Brethren, pray for vs.
௨௫சகோதரர்களே, எங்களுக்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
26 Greete all the brethren with an holy kisse.
௨௬சகோதரர்கள் எல்லோரையும் பரிசுத்த முத்தத்தோடு வாழ்த்துங்கள்.
27 I charge you in the Lord, that this Epistle be read vnto all the brethren the Saintes.
௨௭இந்தக் கடிதம் பரிசுத்தமான சகோதரர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் வாசிக்கப்படவேண்டுமென்று கர்த்தரின்பேரில் ஆணையிட்டு உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
28 The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you, Amen. ‘The first Epistle vnto the Thessalonians written from Athens.’
௨௮நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய கிருபை உங்களோடுகூட இருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.
