1 Thessalonians 3

1 Wherefore since we could no longer forbare, wee thought it good to remaine at Athens alone,

इसलिये जब यह हमारे लिए असहनीय हो गया, हमने अथेनॉन नगर में ही रुके रहना सही समझा.

2 And haue sent Timotheus our brother and minister of God, and our labour felow in the Gospel of Christ, to stablish you, and to comfort you touching your faith,

हमने मसीह के ईश्वरीय सुसमाचार के प्रचार में परमेश्वर के सहकर्मी तथा हमारे भाई तिमोथियॉस को तुम्हारे पास इस उद्देश्य से भेजा कि वह तुम्हें तुम्हारे विश्वास में मजबूत करे,

3 That no man should be moued with these afflictions: for ye your selues knowe, that we are appointed thereunto.

कि तुममें से कोई भी इन क्लेशों के द्वारा डगमगा न जाए. तुम्हें तो यह अच्छी तरह से मालूम है कि हम पर इन क्लेशों का आना अवश्य है.

4 For verily when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulations, euen as it came to passe, and ye knowe it.

वस्तुतः जब हम तुम्हारे यहां थे, हम पहले ही तुम्हें यह बताते रहे कि हम पर क्लेशों का आना निश्चित है और तुम्हें तो मालूम ही है कि हुआ भी ऐसा ही.

5 Euen for this cause, when I could no longer forbeare, I sent him that I might knowe of your faith, lest the tempter had tempted you in any sort, and that our labour had bene in vaine.

यही कारण है कि जब यह मेरे लिए असहनीय हो गया, मैंने भी इस आशंका से कि कहीं शैतान ने तुम्हें परीक्षा में फंसा न लिया हो और हमारा परिश्रम व्यर्थ न चला जाए, तुम्हारे विश्वास की स्थिति मालूम करने का प्रयास किया.

6 But now lately when Timotheus came from you vnto vs, and brought vs good tidings of your faith and loue, and that ye haue good remembrance of vs alwayes, desiring to see vs, as we also do you,

किंतु अब, जब तिमोथियॉस तुमसे भेंट कर हमारे पास लौट आया है, उसने तुम्हारे विश्वास और प्रेम के संबंध में बहुत ही उत्साह बढ़ानेवाले समाचार दिए हैं तथा यह भी कि तुम हमें मीठी यादों के रूप में याद करते हुए हमसे भेंट करने के लिए उतने ही लालायित हो जितने स्वयं हम तुम्हें देखने के लिए लालायित हैं.

7 Therefore, brethren, we had consolation in you, in all our affliction and necessitie through your faith.

प्रिय भाई बहनो, यही कारण है कि हम संकट और क्लेश की स्थिति में भी तुम्हारे विश्वास द्वारा प्रोत्साहित हुए.

8 For nowe are wee aliue, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

प्रभु में तुम्हारे स्थिर होने का संदेश हमारे लिए नवजीवन का संचार है.

9 For what thankes can wee recompense to God againe for you, for all the ioy wherewith we reioyce for your sakes before our God,

परमेश्वर के सामने तुम्हारे विषय में उस बड़े आनंद के लिए हम भला परमेश्वर के प्रति और किस प्रकार का धन्यवाद प्रकट कर सकते हैं?

10 Night and day, praying exceedingly that wee might see your face, and might accomplish that which is lacking in your faith?

जब हम रात-दिन एकचित्त होकर प्रार्थना करते रहते हैं कि हम तुम्हें सामने देख सकें तथा तुम्हारे विश्वास में जो कमी है, उसे पूरा कर सकें.

11 Nowe God himselfe, euen our Father, and our Lord Iesus Christ, guide our iourney vnto you,

स्वयं हमारे परमेश्वर और पिता तथा मसीह येशु हमारे प्रभु तुम तक पहुंचने में हमारा मार्गदर्शन करें

12 And the Lord increase you, and make you abound in loue one toward another, and towarde all men, euen as we doe toward you:

तथा प्रभु ही तुम्हें एक दूसरे के प्रति ही नहीं परंतु सबके प्रति प्रेम में बढ़ाए तथा उन्‍नत करें, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे हम तुमसे प्रेम करते हैं

13 To make your hearts stable and vnblameable in holines before God euen our Father, at the comming of our Lord Iesus Christ with all his Saints.

कि वह सभी पवित्र लोगों के साथ हमारे प्रभु येशु मसीह के दोबारा आगमन के अवसर पर परमेश्वर हमारे पिता के सामने तुम्हारे हृदय को पवित्रता में निर्दोष ठहरा सकें.
