1 Samuel 7
1 Then the men of Kiriath-iearim came, and tooke vp the Arke of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill: and they sanctified Eleazar his sonne, to keepe the Arke of the Lord.
Kaj venis la loĝantoj de Kirjat-Jearim, kaj prenis la keston de la Eternulo kaj alportis ĝin en la domon de Abinadab sur la monteton, kaj lian filon Eleazar ili konsekris, por gardi la keston de la Eternulo.
2 (For while the Arke abode in Kiriath-iearim, the time was long, for it was twentie yeeres) and al the house of Israel lamented after ye Lord.
De la tago, de kiam la kesto restis en Kirjat-Jearim, pasis multe da tempo, pasis dudek jaroj. Kaj la tuta domo de Izrael sopiris pri la Eternulo.
3 Then Samuel spake vnto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye be come againe vnto the Lord with all your heart, put away the strange gods from among you, and Ashtaroth, and direct your hearts vnto the Lord, and serue him only, and he shall deliuer you out of the hand of ye Philistims.
Kaj Samuel diris al la tuta domo de Izrael jene: Se per via tuta koro vi konvertiĝis al la Eternulo, tiam forigu el inter vi la fremdajn diojn kaj la Aŝtarojn, kaj turnu vian koron al la Eternulo kaj servu al Li sola, kaj Li savos vin el la manoj de la Filiŝtoj.
4 Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and serued the Lord onely.
Kaj la Izraelidoj forigis la Baalojn kaj la Aŝtarojn, kaj komencis servadi al la Eternulo sola.
5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you vnto the Lord.
Kaj Samuel diris: Kunvenigu la tutan Izraelon en Micpan, kaj mi preĝos por vi al la Eternulo.
6 And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drewe water and powred it out before the Lord, and fasted the same day, and sayd there, We haue sinned against the Lord. And Samuel iudged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.
Kaj ili kunvenis en Micpan, kaj ĉerpis akvon kaj verŝis antaŭ la Eternulo, kaj fastis en tiu tago, kaj diris tie: Ni pekis antaŭ la Eternulo. Kaj Samuel juĝis la Izraelidojn en Micpa.
7 When the Philistims heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the princes of the Philistims went vp against Israel: and when the children of Israel heard that, they were afraide of the Philistims.
Kiam la Filiŝtoj aŭdis, ke la Izraelidoj kolektiĝis en Micpa, la estroj de la Filiŝtoj elmoviĝis kontraŭ Izraelon. Aŭdinte tion, la Izraelidoj ektimis antaŭ la Filiŝtoj.
8 And the children of Israel sayd to Samuel, Cease not to crie vnto the Lord our God for vs, that hee may saue vs out of the hand of the Philistims.
Kaj la Izraelidoj diris al Samuel: Ne ĉesu krii por ni al la Eternulo, nia Dio, ke Li savu nin kontraŭ la manoj de la Filiŝtoj.
9 Then Samuel tooke a sucking lambe, and offered it all together for a burnt offering vnto the Lord, and Samuel cryed vnto the Lord for Israel, and the Lord heard him.
Tiam Samuel prenis unu suĉantan ŝafidon kaj oferis ĝin tutan brulofere al la Eternulo, kaj Samuel vokis al la Eternulo por Izrael, kaj la Eternulo aŭskultis lin.
10 And as Samuel offered the burnt offering, the Philistims came to fight against Israel: but the Lord thundred with a great thunder that day vpon the Philistims, and scattered them: so they were slaine before Israel.
Kaj dum Samuel estis oferanta la bruloferon, la Filiŝtoj venis, por batali kontraŭ la Izraelidoj. Sed la Eternulo ektondris en tiu tago per granda tondro super la Filiŝtoj kaj teruris ilin, kaj ili estis frapitaj antaŭ Izrael.
11 And the men of Israel went from Mizpeh and pursued the Philistims, and smote them vntill they came vnder Beth-car.
Kaj la viroj de Izrael eliris el Micpa kaj persekutis la Filiŝtojn, kaj batis ilin ĝis sub Bet-Kar.
12 Then Samuel tooke a stone and pitched it betweene Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name thereof, Eben-ezer, and he sayd, Hitherto hath the Lord holpen vs.
Kaj Samuel prenis unu ŝtonon, kaj metis ĝin inter Micpa kaj Ŝen, kaj donis al ĝi la nomon Eben-Ezer, dirante: Ĝis ĉi tiu loko helpis nin la Eternulo.
13 So the Philistims were brought vnder, and they came no more againe into the coastes of Israel: and the hand of the Lord was against the Philistims all the dayes of Samuel.
Tiamaniere la Filiŝtoj estis kvietigitaj, kaj ne venadis plu en la regionon de Izrael. Kaj la mano de la Eternulo estis super la Filiŝtoj dum la tuta vivo de Samuel.
14 Also the cities which the Philistims had taken from Israel, were restored to Israel, from Ekron euen to Gath: and Israel deliuered the coastes of the same out of the hands of the Philistims: and there was peace betweene Israel and the Amorites.
Kaj estis redonitaj al Izrael la urboj, kiujn la Filiŝtoj prenis de Izrael, de Ekron ĝis Gat, kaj iliajn regionojn Izrael savis el la manoj de la Filiŝtoj. Kaj estis paco inter Izrael kaj la Amoridoj.
15 And Samuel iudged Israel all the dayes of his life,
Kaj Samuel estis juĝisto de Izrael dum sia tuta vivo.
16 And went about yeere by yere to Beth-el, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and iudged Israel in all those places.
Kaj li iradis ĉiujare ĉirkaŭe en Bet-Elon, Gilgalon, kaj Micpan, kaj juĝadis Izraelon en ĉiuj tiuj lokoj.
17 Afterward hee returned to Ramah: for there was his house, and there he iudged Israel: also he built an altar there vnto the Lord.
Kaj li revenadis en Raman, ĉar tie estis lia domo; kaj tie ankaŭ li juĝadis Izraelon, kaj li konstruis tie altaron al la Eternulo.
