1 Samuel 4
1 And Samuel spake vnto all Israel: and Israel went out against the Philistims to battel and pitched beside Eben-ezer: and the Philistims pitched in Aphek.
১সেই সময়ত ইস্ৰায়েলে যুদ্ধৰ অৰ্থে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ওলাই গৈ এবেন-এজৰৰ ওচৰত ছাউনি পাতিলে, আৰু পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে অফেকত ছাউনি পাতিলে।
2 And the Philistims put themselues in aray against Israel: and when they ioyned the battell, Israel was smitten downe before the Philistims: who slewe of the armie in the fielde about foure thousand men.
২পাছত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ কৰোঁতে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ হাতত ইস্ৰায়েলসকল পৰাস্ত হ’ল; আৰু সেই যুদ্ধ-ক্ষেত্ৰত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সৈন্য সমূহৰ প্ৰায় চাৰি হাজাৰ লোকক তেওঁলোকে বধ কৰিলে।
3 So when the people were come into the campe, the Elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the Lord smitten vs this day before ye Philistims? let vs bring the Arke of the couenant of the Lord out of Shiloh vnto vs, that when it commeth among vs, it may saue vs out of the hande of our enemies.
৩পাছত লোকসলক ছাউনিলৈ ঘূৰি আহোতে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বৃদ্ধলোক সকলে ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ হাতত আজি আমাক কিয় পৰাস্ত হবলৈ এৰি দিলে? এতিয়া ব’লা, চীলোৰ পৰা আমি যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষ্য নিয়ম-চন্দুক আনোগৈ, তেতিয়া সেই নিয়ম-চন্দুক আমাৰ লগত থকিলে, সেয়াই শত্ৰুৰ শক্তিৰ পৰা আমাক ৰক্ষা কৰিব।”
4 Then the people sent to Shiloh, and brought from thence the Arke of the couenant of the Lord of hostes, who dwelleth betweene the Cherubims: and there were the two sonnes of Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas, with the Arke of the couenant of God.
৪সেয়েহে লোকসকলে চীলোলৈ মানুহ পঠিয়াই, কৰূব দুটাৰ মাজত বসতি কৰা বাহিনীসকলৰ যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক অনালে। সেই সময়ত এলীৰ দুজন পুত্ৰ হফনী আৰু পীনহচ সেই ঠাইত যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ লগত আছিল।
5 And when the Arke of the couenant of the Lord came into the hoste, all Israel shouted a mightie shoute, so that the earth rang againe.
৫যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক ছাউনিলৈ অনাৰ পাছত, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সকলো লোকে এনেদৰে মহাধ্বনি কৰিলে যে, পৃথিৱীও কঁপিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
6 And when the Philistims heard the noyse of the shoute, they said, What meaneth the sound of this mightie shoute in the host of the Ebrewes? and they vnderstoode, that the Arke of the Lord was come into the hoste.
৬পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে সেই মহাধ্বনিৰ শব্দ শুনি ক’লে, “ইব্ৰীয়াসকলৰ ছাউনিত এনে মহাধ্বনি কিয় হৈছে?” এইদৰে যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ছাউনিলৈ অনা হ’ল বুলি তেওঁলোকে উপলব্ধি কৰিলে৷
7 And the Philistims were afraide, and saide, God is come into the hoste: therefore saide they, Wo vnto vs: for it hath not bene so heretofore.
৭তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ ভয় লাগিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে ক’লে, “ছাউনিলৈ নিশ্চয় ঈশ্বৰ আহিল৷” তেওঁলোকে পুনৰ ক’লে, “আমাৰ এতিয়া সন্তাপ হ’ব; কিয়নো ইয়াৰ পূৰ্বতে কেতিয়াও এনেকুৱা হোৱা নাই।
8 Wo vnto vs, who shall deliuer vs out of the hande of these mightie Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wildernes.
৮আমাৰ এতিয়া সন্তাপ হ’ব; সেই পৰাক্ৰমী ঈশ্বৰৰ শক্তিৰ পৰা আমাক কোনে ৰক্ষা কৰিব? এইজনেই সেই ঈশ্বৰ, যিজনে অৰণ্যৰ মাজত বিভিন্ন প্ৰকাৰ উপদ্ৰৱেৰে মিচৰীয়াসকলক আঘাত কৰিছিল।
9 Be strong and play the men, O Philistims, that ye be not seruants vnto the Ebrewes, as they haue serued you: be valiant therefore, and fight.
৯হে পলেষ্টীয়াসকল, ইব্ৰীয়াসকল যেনেকৈ তোমালোকৰ অধীনত আছিল, তেনেকৈ তোমালোক তেওঁলোকৰ অধীনত যেন নহোৱা, সেইবাবে তোমালোক বলৱান হোৱা আৰু পুৰুষত্ব দেখুউৱা; পুৰুষত্ব দেখুৱাই যুদ্ধ কৰা।”
10 And the Philistims fought, and Israel was smitten downe, and fled euery man into his tent: and there was an exceeding great slaughter: for there fell of Israel thirtie thousand footemen.
১০তাৰ পাছত পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে যুদ্ধ কৰোঁতে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকল পৰাজিত হৈ প্ৰতিজন নিজ নিজ তম্বুলৈ পলাল; তাতে এনে মহা-সংহাৰ হ’ল যে, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত ত্ৰিশহাজাৰ পদাতিক লোকৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল।
11 And the Arke of God was taken, and the two sonnes of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas died.
১১আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক শত্ৰুৰ হাতত পৰিল, আৰু এলীৰ দুজন পুতেক হফনী আৰু পীনহচক বধ কৰা হ’ল।
12 And there ranne a man of Beniamin out of the armie, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and earth vpon his head.
১২এজন বিন্যামীনীয়া মানুহে সৈন্যৰ মাজৰ পৰা দৌৰি গৈ, একে দিনাই চীলোহ পালে; তাৰ কাপোৰ ফটা আছিল আৰু মুৰত মাটি লাগি আছিল।
13 And when hee came, loe, Eli sate vpon a seate by the wayside, wayting: for his heart feared for the Arke of God and when the man came into the citie to tell it, all the citie cried out.
১৩সি অহা সময়ত বাটৰ কাষত এলীয়ে নিজৰ আসনত বহি বাট চাই আছিল; কিয়নো যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ মন ব্যকুল হৈ আছিল। তাৰ পাছত সেই মানুহজনে নগৰত সোমাই সকলো সম্বাদ দিয়াত নগৰৰ সকলো লোকে চিঞৰিব ধৰিলে।
14 And when Eli heard the noyse of the crying, he sayd, What meaneth this noyse of the tumult? and the man came in hastily, and tolde Eli.
১৪এলীয়ে সেই চিঞৰৰ শব্দ শুনি সুধিলে, “এই কোলাহলৰ কাৰণ কি?” তেতিয়া সেই মানুহজনে বেগাই আহি এলীক সকলো বিষয় জনালে।
15 (Nowe Eli was fourescore and eighteene yeere olde, and his eyes were dimme that hee could not see)
১৫সেই সময়ত এলী আঠান্নব্বৈ বছৰ বয়সীয়া বৃদ্ধ আছিল; আৰু তেওঁ দৃষ্টিহীন হোৱাত, একো দেখা নপালে।
16 And the man sayd vnto Eli, I came from the armie, and I fled this day out of the hoste: and he sayd, What thing is done, my sonne?
১৬মানুহ জনে এলীক ক’লে, “মই আজি সৈন্য সমূহৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা পলাই আহিলোঁ।” তেতিয়া এলীয়ে সুধিলে, “বোপা, তাত কি হৈ আছে?”
17 Then the messenger answered and sayd, Israel is fled before the Philistims, and there hath bene also a great slaughter among the people: and moreouer thy two sonnes, Hophni and Phinehas are dead, and the Arke of God is taken.
১৭বাতৰি লৈ অহা মানুহজনে উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সন্মুখৰ পৰা ইস্ৰায়েলীসকল পলাইছে আৰু আমাৰ লোকসকল পৰাজিত হ’ল৷ আপোনাৰ দুজন পুত্ৰ হফনী আৰু পীনহচৰো মৃত্যু হ’ল, আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক শত্ৰুৱে লৈ গ’ল।”
18 And when he had made mention of the Arke of God, Eli fell from his seate backward by the side of the gate, and his necke was broken, and he dyed: for he was an olde man and heauie: and he had iudged Israel fourtie yeeres.
১৮সেই মানুহজনে ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুকৰ নাম লোৱাৰ লগে লগে এলী দুৱাৰৰ কাষত বহি থকা আসনৰ পৰা লুটিখাই পৰিল আৰু ডিঙি ভাঙি যোৱাত তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল; কিয়নো তেওঁ বৃদ্ধ আৰু ভাৰযুক্ত পুৰুষ আছিল। তেওঁ চল্লিশ বছৰলৈকে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিচাৰ কৰিছিল।
19 And his daughter in lawe Phinehas wife was with childe neere her trauell: and when she heard the report that the Arke of God was taken, and that her father in lawe and her husband were dead, she bowed her selfe, and trauailed: for her paines came vpon her.
১৯সেই সময়ত তেওঁৰ পো-বোৱাৰী পীনহচৰ ভাৰ্যা গৰ্ভৱতী আছিল, তেওঁৰ সন্তান প্ৰসৱৰ সময় হৈছিল৷ যিহোৱাৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক শত্ৰুৰ হাতত যোৱা আৰু নিজৰ শহুৰ ও স্ৱামীৰ মৃত্যুৰ সম্বাদ শুনাৰ লগে লগে তেওঁৰ প্ৰসৱ বেদনা অস্থিৰ হৈ তেওঁ আঠুকাঢ়ি সন্তান প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে।
20 And about the time of her death, the women that stoode about her, sayd vnto her, Feare not: for thou hast borne a sonne: but she answered not, nor regarded it.
২০তেওঁৰ প্ৰসৱ বেদনা দেখি, তেওঁৰ কাষত থিয় হৈ থকা মহিলাসকলে ক’লে, “ভয় নকৰিবা; তুমি এটি পুত্ৰ জন্ম দিলা।” কিন্তু তেওঁ মুখেৰে একো উত্তৰ নিদিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকে কোৱা কথালৈ মন নিদিলে।
21 And she named the childe Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel, because the Arke of God was taken, and because of her father in lawe and her husband.
২১তেওঁ সন্তানটিৰ নাম ঈখাবোদ ৰাখিলে আৰু ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পৰা প্ৰতাপ দূৰ কৰা হ’ল।” তেওঁৰ শহুৰ আৰু স্ৱামীৰ বাবেই ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আটক কৰি নিলে৷
22 She sayde againe, The glory is departed from Israel: for the Arke of God is taken.
২২তেওঁ পুনৰ ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ পৰা প্ৰতাপ দূৰ কৰা হ’ল; কিয়নো ঈশ্বৰৰ নিয়ম-চন্দুক আটক কৰি নিলে।”
