1 Samuel 30
1 Bvt when Dauid and his men were come to Ziklag the thirde day, the Amalekites had inuaded vpon the South, euen vnto Ziklag, and had smitten Ziklag, and burnt it with fire,
Și s-a întâmplat, când David și oamenii săi au venit la Țiclag în a treia zi, că amaleciții invadaseră sudul și Țiclagul și loviseră Țiclagul și îl arseseră cu foc;
2 And had taken the women that were therein, prisoners, both small and great, and slewe not a man, but caryed them away, and went their wayes.
Și luaseră captive pe femeile care erau în el; nu au ucis pe niciuna, fie mare sau mică, ci le-au dus și au mers pe calea lor.
3 So Dauid and his men came to the city, and beholde, it was burnt with fire, and their wiues, and their sonnes, and their daughters were taken prisoners.
Astfel David și oamenii săi au venit în cetate și, iată, aceasta era arsă cu foc; și soțiile lor și fiii lor și fiicele lor, erau luate captive.
4 Then Dauid and the people that was with him, lift vp their voyces and wept, vntill they could weepe no more.
Atunci David și poporul care era cu el și-au înălțat vocea și au plâns până nu au mai avut putere să plângă.
5 Dauids two wiues were taken prisoners also, Ahinoam the Izreelite, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.
Și cele două soții ale lui David erau luate captive: Ahinoam izreelita și Abigail carmelita, soția lui Nabal.
6 And Dauid was in great sorowe: for the people entended to stone him, because the heartes of all the people were vexed euery man for his sonnes and for his daughters: but Dauid comforted him selfe in the Lord his God.
Și David era foarte strâmtorat, pentru că poporul vorbea să îl împroaște cu pietre deoarece sufletul întregului popor era mâhnit, fiecare om pentru fiii săi și pentru fiicele sale; dar David s-a încurajat în DOMNUL Dumnezeul său.
7 And Dauid saide to Abiathar the Priest Ahimelechs sonne, I pray thee, bring me the Ephod. And Abiathar brought the Ephod to Dauid.
Și David a spus preotului Abiatar, fiul lui Ahimelec: Te rog, adu-mi aici efodul. Și Abiatar a adus efodul acolo la David.
8 Then Dauid asked counsell at the Lord, saying, Shall I follow after this companie? shall I ouertake them? And he answered him, Followe: for thou shalt surely ouertake them, and recouer all.
Și David a întrebat pe DOMNUL, spunând: Să urmăresc această ceată înarmată? Să o ajung? Și el i-a răspuns: Urmărește-i, pentru că într-adevăr îi vei ajunge și negreșit vei lua înapoi totul.
9 So Dauid and the sixe hundreth men that were with him, went, and came to the riuer Besor, where a part of them abode:
Astfel David a mers, el și cei șase sute de oameni care erau cu el și au ajuns la pârâul Besor, unde cei care au rămas în urmă s-au oprit.
10 But Dauid and foure hundreth men followed (for two hundreth abode behinde, being too wearie to goe ouer the riuer Besor)
Dar David i-a urmărit, el și patru sute de oameni, pentru că două sute au rămas în urmă, cei care erau atât de obosiți încât nu puteau să treacă pârâul Besor.
11 And they found an Egyptian in the fielde, and brought him to Dauid, and gaue him bread and he did eat, and they gaue him water to drinke.
Și au găsit un egiptean în câmp și l-au adus la David și i-au dat pâine și el a mâncat; și l-au făcut să bea apă;
12 Also they gaue him a fewe figges, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirite came againe to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunke any water in three dayes, and three nightes.
Și i-au dat o bucată de turtă de smochine și doi ciorchini de stafide; și după ce a mâncat, duhul lui i-a revenit, pentru că nu mâncase pâine, nici nu băuse apă trei zile și trei nopți.
13 And Dauid saide vnto him, To whome belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he saide, I am a yong man of Egypt, and seruant to an Amalekite: and my master left me three dayes agoe, because I fell sicke.
Și David i-a spus: Al cui ești? Și de unde ești? Și el a spus: Eu sunt un tânăr din Egipt, servitor al unui amalecit; și stăpânul meu m-a lăsat, pentru că acum trei zile am căzut bolnav.
14 We roued vpon the South of Chereth, and vpon the coast belonging to Iudah, and vpon the South of Caleb, and we burnt Ziklag with fire.
Noi am invadat în partea de sud a cheretiților și în ținutul care aparține de Iuda și în partea de sud a lui Caleb; și am ars Țiclagul cu foc.
15 And Dauid saide vnto him, Canst thou bring me to this companie? And he said, Sweare vnto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliuer me into the handes of my master, and I will bring thee to this companie.
Și David i-a spus: Poți să mă cobori la această ceată? Iar el a spus: Jură-mi pe Dumnezeu că nici nu mă vei ucide nici nu mă vei da în mâinile stăpânului meu și te voi coborî la această ceată.
16 And when he had brought him thither, beholde, they lay scattered abroade vpon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dauncing, because of all the great pray that they had taken out of the lande of the Philistims, and out of the land of Iudah.
Și după ce l-a coborât, iată, ei erau împrăștiați pe toată fața pământului, mâncând și bând și dansând, pentru toată prada cea mare pe care o luaseră din țara filistenilor și din țara lui Iuda.
17 And Dauid smote them from the twilight, euen vnto the euening of the next morowe, so that there escaped not a man of them, saue foure hundreth yong men, which rode vpon camels, and fled.
Și David i-a lovit din amurg chiar până în seara zilei următoare; și nu a scăpat niciun om dintre ei, în afară de patru sute de tineri, care au călărit pe cămile și au fugit.
18 And Dauid recouered all that the Amalekites had taken: also Dauid rescued his two wiues.
Și David a luat înapoi tot ceea ce amaleciții duseseră; și David și-a eliberat pe cele două soții.
19 And they lacked nothing, small or great, sonne or daughter, or of the spoyle of all that they had taken away: Dauid recouered them all.
Și nimic nu le lipsea, fie mic sau mare, nici fii, nici fiice, nici pradă, nici vreun lucru pe care li-l luaseră: David a recuperat totul.
20 Dauid also tooke all the sheepe, and the oxen, and they draue them before his cattell, and said, This is Dauids pray.
Și David a luat toate turmele și cirezile, pe care le-au mânat înaintea celorlalte vite și au spus: Aceasta este prada lui David.
21 And Dauid came to the two hundreth men that were too wearie for to follow Dauid: whome they had made also to abide at the riuer Besor: and they came to meete Dauid, and to meete the people that were with him: so when Dauid came neere to the people, hee saluted them.
Și David a venit la cei două sute de bărbați, care erau atât de obosiți încât nu l-au putut urma pe David, pe care îi făcuseră să rămână la pârâul Besor; și ei au ieșit să îl întâmpine pe David și să întâlnească poporul care era cu el; și când David s-a apropiat de popor, i-a salutat.
22 Then answered all the euill and wicked of the men that went with Dauid, and saide, Because they went not with vs, therefore will wee giue them none of the pray that wee haue recouered, saue to euery man his wife and his children: therefore let them carie them away and depart.
Atunci au răspuns toți oamenii stricați și ai lui Belial, dintre cei care au mers cu David și au zis: Căci ei nu au mers cu noi, nu le vom da nimic din prada pe care am luat-o înapoi, ci doar fiecărui bărbat soția sa și copiii săi, ca să îi ducă și să plece.
23 Then saide Dauid, Yee shall not doe so, my brethren, with that which the Lord hath giuen vs, who hath preserued vs, and deliuered the companie that came against vs, into our handes.
Atunci David a spus: Să nu faceți astfel, frații mei, cu ceea ce ne-a dat DOMNUL, care ne-a păstrat și a dat în mâna noastră ceata care a venit împotriva noastră.
24 For who will obey you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth downe to the battel, so shall his part be, that tarieth by the stuffe: they shall part alike.
Fiindcă cine vă va da ascultare în acest lucru? Ci cum este partea celui care coboară la bătălie, tot astfel să fie partea celui care rămâne lângă lucruri, vor împărți la fel.
25 So from that day forward hee made it a statute and a lawe in Israel, vntill this day.
Și a fost astfel din acea zi înainte, că el a făcut din aceasta un statut și o rânduială pentru Israel până astăzi.
26 When Dauid therefore came to Ziklag, he sent of the pray vnto the Elders of Iudah and to his friends, saying, See there is a blessing for you of the spoyle of the enemies of the Lord.
Și când David a venit la Țiclag, a trimis din pradă bătrânilor lui Iuda, chiar prietenilor săi, spunând: Iată, un dar pentru voi, din prada dușmanilor DOMNULUI;
27 Hee sent to them of Beth-el, and to them of South Ramoth, and to them of Iattir,
Celor din Betel și celor din sudul Ramotului și celor din Iatir,
28 And to them of Aroer, and to them of Siphmoth, and to them of Eshtemoa,
Și celor din Aroer și celor din Sifmot și din Eștemoa,
29 And to them of Rachal, and to them of the cities of the Ierahmeelites, and to them of the cities of the Kenites,
Și celor din Racal și celor din cetățile ierahmeeliților și celor din cetățile cheniților,
30 And to them of Hormah, and to them of Chor-ashan, and to them of Athach,
Și celor din Horma și celor din Cor-Așan și din Atac,
31 And to them of Hebron, and to all the places where Dauid and his men had hanted.
Și celor din Hebron și tuturor locurilor unde David însuși și oamenii săi aveau obiceiul să meargă.
