1 Samuel 28
1 Nowe at that time the Philistims assembled their bandes and armie to fight with Israel: therfore Achish said to Dauid, Be sure, thou shalt go out with me to the battel, thou, and thy men.
Und es begab sich zu derselben Zeit, daß die Philister ihre Heere zum Kriege versammelten, um wider Israel zu streiten. Und Achis sprach zu David: Wisse bestimmt, daß du mit mir ins Kriegslager ausziehen sollst, du und deine Männer.
2 And Dauid said to Achish, Surely thou shalt knowe, what thy seruant can doe. And Achish sayde to Dauid, Surely I will make thee keeper of mine head for euer.
David sprach zu Achis: Wohlan, du sollst erfahren, was dein Knecht zu tun vermag! Achis sprach zu David: Darum will ich dich zum Hüter meines Hauptes setzen für die ganze Zeit.
3 (Samuel was then dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah his owne citie: and Saul had put away the sorcerers, and the soothsayers out of the land)
Samuel aber war gestorben, und ganz Israel hatte um ihn Leid getragen und ihn in seiner Stadt Rama begraben. Saul aber hatte die Wahrsager und Zeichendeuter aus dem Lande vertrieben.
4 Then the Philistims assembled themselues, and came, and pitched in Shunem: and Saul assembled all Israel, and they pitched in Gilboa.
Als sich nun die Philister versammelten und kamen und sich zu Sunem lagerten, versammelte auch Saul ganz Israel; und sie lagerten sich auf Gilboa.
5 And when Saul saw the hoste of the Philistims, he was afraid, and his heart was sore astonied.
Als aber Saul der Philister Heer sah, fürchtete er sich, und sein Herz verzagte sehr.
6 Therefore Saul asked counsel of the Lord, and the Lord answered him not, neither by dreames, nor by Vrim, nor yet by Prophets.
Und Saul fragte den HERRN; aber der HERR antwortete ihm nicht, weder durch Träume noch durch die Lichter noch durch die Propheten.
7 Then saide Saul vnto his seruants, Seeke me a woman that hath a familiar spirite, that I may goe to her, and aske of her. And his seruants said to him, Beholde, there is a woman at En-dor that hath a familiar spirit.
Da sprach Saul zu seinen Knechten: Suchet mir ein Weib, das Tote beschwören kann, daß ich zu ihr gehe und sie befrage! Seine Knechte sprachen zu ihm: Siehe, zu Endor ist ein Weib, das Tote beschwören kann!
8 Then Saul changed him selfe, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he saide, I pray thee, coniecture vnto me by the familiar spirite, and bring me him vp whome I shall name vnto thee.
Und Saul verstellte sich und legte andere Kleider an und ging hin und zwei Männer mit ihm; und sie kamen bei Nacht zu dem Weibe. Und er sprach: Wahrsage mir doch durch Totenbeschwörung und bring mir den herauf, welchen ich dir sage!
9 And the woman saide vnto him, Beholde, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath destroyed the sorcerers, and the southsayers out of the land: wherefore then seekest thou to take me in a snare to cause me to die?
Das Weib sprach zu ihm: Siehe, du weißt doch, was Saul getan, wie er die Totenbeschwörer und Wahrsager aus dem Lande ausgerottet hat; warum willst du denn meiner Seele eine Schlinge legen, daß ich getötet werde?
10 And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liueth, no harme shall come to thee for this thing.
Saul aber schwur ihr bei dem HERRN und sprach: So wahr der HERR lebt, es soll dich deshalb keine Schuld treffen!
11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring vp vnto thee? And he answered, Bring me vp Samuel.
Da sprach das Weib: Wen soll ich denn heraufbringen? Er sprach: Bring mir Samuel herauf!
12 And when the woman sawe Samuel, she cryed with a loude voyce, and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceiued me? for thou art Saul.
Als nun das Weib Samuel sah, schrie sie laut und sprach zu Saul: Warum hast du mich betrogen: Du bist ja Saul!
13 And the King said vnto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said vnto Saul, I saw gods ascending vp out of the earth.
Und der König sprach zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! Was siehst du? Das Weib sprach zu Saul: Ich sehe einen Gott aus der Erde heraufsteigen!
14 Then he said vnto her, What facion is hee of? And she answered, An olde man commeth vp lapped in a mantel: and Saul knewe that it was Samuel, and he enclined his face to the grounde, and bowed him selfe.
Er sprach: Wie ist er gestaltet? Sie sprach: Es kommt ein alter Mann herauf und ist mit einem weiten Rock bekleidet! Da merkte Saul, daß es Samuel sei, und neigte sich mit seinem Angesicht zur Erde und bückte sich.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me vp? Then Saul answered, I am in great distresse: for the Philistims make warre against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by Prophetes, neither by dreames: therefore I haue called thee, that thou mayest tell me, what I shall doe.
Samuel aber sprach zu Saul: Warum störst du mich, indem du mich heraufbringen lässest? Saul sprach: Ich bin hart bedrängt; denn die Philister streiten wider mich, und Gott ist von mir gewichen und antwortet mir nicht, weder durch die Propheten, noch durch Träume; darum habe ich dich rufen lassen, damit du mir zeigest, was ich tun soll.
16 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then doest thou aske of me, seeing the Lord is gone from thee, and is thine enemie?
Samuel sprach: Warum willst du denn mich fragen, da doch der HERR von dir gewichen und dein Feind geworden ist?
17 Euen the Lord hath done to him, as hee spake by mine hande: for the Lord will rent the kingdome out of thine hande, and giue it thy neighbour Dauid.
Der HERR hat getan, wie er durch mich geredet hat, und der HERR hat das Reich deiner Hand entrissen und es David, deinem Nächsten, gegeben.
18 Because thou obeyedst not the voyce of the Lord, nor executedst his fierce wrath vpon the Amalekites, therefore hath the Lord done this vnto thee this day.
Weil du der Stimme des HERRN nicht gehorcht und den Grimm seines Zorns wider Amalek nicht vollstreckt hast, darum hat dir der HERR jetzt solches getan.
19 Moreouer the Lord wil deliuer Israel with thee into the handes of the Philistims: and to morowe shalt thou and thy sonnes be with me, and the Lord shall giue the hoste of Israel into the handes of the Philistims.
Dazu wird der HERR auch Israel und dich in die Hand der Philister geben; und morgen wirst du samt deinen Söhnen bei mir sein. Auch das Heer Israels wird der HERR in die Hand der Philister geben!
20 Then Saul fell streight way all along on the earth, and was sore afraide because of the wordes of Samuel, so that there was no strength in him: for he had eaten no bread all the day nor all the night.
Da fiel Saul plötzlich zu Boden, so lang und groß er war, denn er erschrak sehr ob den Worten Samuels, so daß keine Kraft mehr in ihm blieb; denn er hatte den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht nichts gegessen.
21 Then the woman came vnto Saul, and sawe that he was sore troubled, and said vnto him, See, thine handmaide hath obeyed thy voyce, and I haue put my soule in mine hande, and haue obeyed thy wordes which thou saydest vnto me.
Und das Weib ging zu Saul hin und sah, daß er sehr erschrocken war, und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, deine Magd hat deiner Stimme gehorcht, und ich habe mein Leben aufs Spiel gesetzt, daß ich deinen Worten gehorcht habe, die du zu mir sagtest.
22 Now therefore, I pray thee, hearke thou also vnto ye voyce of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsell of bread before thee, that thou mayest eat and get thee strength, and go on thy iourney.
So gehorche auch du der Stimme deiner Magd: Ich will dir einen Bissen Brot vorlegen, daß du essest, damit du zu Kräften kommest und deine Straße ziehest.
23 But he refused, and said, I will not eate: but his seruants and the woman together compelled him, and he obeyed their voyce: so he arose from the earth, and sate on the bed.
Er aber weigerte sich und sprach: Ich will nicht essen! Da nötigten ihn seine Knechte und auch das Weib, und er gehorchte ihrer Stimme. Und er stand auf von der Erde und setzte sich auf das Bett.
24 Nowe the woman had a fat calfe in the house, and she hasted, and killed it, and tooke floure and kneaded it, and baked of it vnleauened bread.
Das Weib aber hatte daheim ein gemästetes Kalb; da eilte sie und schlachtete es und nahm Mehl und knetete es und machte daraus ungesäuerte Kuchen.
25 Then she brought them before Saul, and before his seruants: and when they had eaten, they stoode, and went away the same night.
Die brachte sie herzu vor Saul und vor seine Knechte. Und als sie gegessen hatten, standen sie auf und gingen hin noch in derselben Nacht.
