1 Samuel 26

1 Againe the Ziphims came vnto Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doeth not Dauid hide him selfe in the hill of Hachilah before Ieshimon?

Entonces los de Zif se acercaron a Saúl en Guibeá y le dijeron: ¿Acaso David no está esperando secretamente cerca de nosotros en la colina de Haquila, frente al desierto?

2 Then Saul arose, and went downe to the wildernes of Ziph, hauing three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, for to seeke Dauid in the wildernesse of Ziph.

Entonces Saúl bajó al desierto de Zif, llevando consigo a tres mil de los mejores hombres de Israel, para buscar a David en el desierto de Zif.

3 And Saul pitched in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Ieshimon by the way side. Now Dauid abode in the wildernesse, and he sawe that Saul came after him into the wildernesse.

Entonces Saúl puso sus campamentos en el cerro de Haquila, que se encuentra frente al desierto. Pero David estaba en el desierto, y vio que Saúl venía tras él.

4 (For Dauid had sent out spies, and vnderstood, that Saul was come in very deede)

Entonces David envió espías, y se enteró de que Saúl ciertamente vendría.

5 Then Dauid arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched, and when Dauid beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the sonne of Ner which was his chiefe captaine, (for Saul lay in the fort, and the people pitched round about him)

Entonces David se levantó y llegó al lugar donde estaba el campamento de Saúl, y David tuvo una vista del lugar donde estaba durmiendo Saúl y Abner, el hijo de Ner, el capitán de su ejército; y Saúl estaba durmiendo adentro en el campamento y la gente lo rodeaba.

6 Then spake Dauid, and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah, brother to Ioab, saying, Who will go downe with me to Saul to the hoste? Then Abishai said, I will goe downe with thee.

Entonces dijo David a Ahimelec heteo, y a Abisai, hijo de Sarvia, hermano de Joab: ¿Quién descenderá conmigo a las tiendas de Saúl? Y Abisai dijo: Yo iré contigo.

7 So Dauid and Abishai came downe to the people by night: and beholde, Saul lay sleeping within the fort, and his speare did sticke in the ground at his head: and Abner and the people lay round about him.

Entonces, David y Abisai bajaron al ejército de noche, y Saúl estaba durmiendo en el campamento con su lanza plantada en la tierra junto a su cabeza, y Abner y la gente dormían a su alrededor.

8 Then saide Abishai to Dauid, God hath closed thine enemie into thine hande this day: now therefore, I pray thee, let me smite him once with a speare to the earth, and I will not smite him againe.

Entonces Abisai dijo a David: Dios ha entregado hoy a tu enemigo en tus manos; ahora permítame darle un solo golpe de lanza que quedará clavado en el suelo, y no habrá necesidad de darle un segundo.

9 And Dauid sayde to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can lay his hand on the Lordes anoynted, and be giltlesse?

Entonces David dijo a Abisai: No lo mates. porque ¿quién, sin castigo, puede extender su mano contra el hombre a quien el Señor ha ungido?

10 Moreouer Dauid said, As the Lord liueth, eyther the Lord shall smite him, or his day shall come to dye, or he shall descend into battel, and perish.

Y David dijo: Por el Señor vivo, el Señor enviará destrucción sobre él; El día natural de su muerte vendrá, o él entrará en la lucha y llegará a su fin.

11 The Lord keepe mee from laying mine hand vpon the Lordes anointed: but, I pray thee, take now the speare that is at his head, and the pot of water, and let vs goe hence.

Nunca se extenderá mi mano contra el hombre ungido con el aceite santo; pero toma la lanza que está junto a su cabeza y el vaso de agua, y vámonos.

12 So Dauid tooke the speare and the pot of water from Sauls head, and they gate them away, and no man saw it, nor marked it, neither did any awake, but they were all asleepe: for the Lord had sent a dead sleepe vpon them.

Entonces David tomó la lanza y el vaso de agua de la cabeza de Saúl; y se escaparon sin que ningún hombre los viera, ni estuvieran conscientes de su llegada o su despertar; porque todos dormían porque habían caído sobre ellos un profundo sueño del Señor.

13 Then Dauid went vnto the other side, and stoode on the toppe of an hill a farre off, a great space being betweene them.

Entonces David se acercó al otro lado, y tomó su lugar en la cima de una montaña a cierta distancia, con un gran espacio entre ellos;

14 And Dauid cryed to the people, and to Abner the sonne of Ner, saying, Hearest thou not, Abner? Then Abner answered, and said, Who art thou that cryest to the King?

Y clamando al pueblo y Abner, el hijo de Ner, David dijo: ¿No tienes respuesta para dar, Abner? Entonces Abner dijo: ¿Quién es el que clama al rey?

15 And Dauid said to Abner, Art not thou a man? and who is like thee in Israel? wherefore then hast thou not kept thy lorde the King? for there came one of the folke in to destroy the King thy lord.

Y David dijo a Abner: ¿No eres tú un hombre de guerra? ¿Hay otro como tú en Israel? ¿Por qué, pues, no vigilaste a tu señor el rey? porque una de las personas entró para dar muerte al rey, tu señor.

16 This is not well done of thee: as the Lord liueth, ye are worthy to dye, because ye haue not kept your master the Lordes Anointed: and now see where the Kings speare is, and the pot of water that was at his head.

Lo que has hecho no es bueno. Por el Señor viviente, la muerte es el destino correcto para ti, porque no has vigilado a tu señor, el hombre a quien el Señor ha ungido con aceite santo. Ahora mira, ¿dónde está la lanza del rey y el recipiente de agua que estaba junto a su cabeza?

17 And Saul knewe Dauids voyce, and sayde, Is this thy voyce, my sonne Dauid? And Dauid sayde, It is my voyce, my lorde O King.

Y Saúl, consciente de que la voz era de David, dijo: ¿Es esa tu voz, David, hijo mío? Y dijo David: Es mi voz, oh señor mi rey.

18 And he sayde, Wherefore doeth my lorde thus persecute his seruant? for what haue I done? or what euill is in mine hand?

Y él dijo: ¿Por qué mi señor va armado contra su siervo? ¿Qué he hecho? o qué mal hay en mi?

19 Now therefore, I beseech thee, let my lord the King heare the wordes of his seruant. If the Lord haue stirred thee vp against me, let him smell the sauour of a sacrifice: but if the children of men haue done it, cursed be they before the Lord: for they haue cast me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the Lord, saying, Goe, serue other gods.

Ahora que mi señor el rey escuche las palabras de su siervo. Si es el Señor quien te está moviendo contra mí, que Él acepte una ofrenda. Pero si son los hijos de los hombres, que sean maldecidos ante el Señor, por expulsarme hoy y alejarme de mi lugar en la herencia de El Señor, diciendo: Ve, sé el siervo de otros dioses.

20 Nowe therefore let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the Lord: for the King of Israel is come out to seeke a flea, as one would hunt a partridge in the mountaines.

Entonces, no permitas que mi sangre sea drenada sobre la tierra lejos de la presencia del Señor; porque el rey de Israel ha salido a buscar una pulga, como quien va cazando la perdiz en las montañas.

21 Then sayde Saul, I haue sinned: come againe, my sonne Dauid: for I will doe thee no more harme, because my soule was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I haue done foolishly, and haue erred exceedingly.

Entonces Saúl dijo: “He hecho algo malo: vuelve a mí, David, mi hijo. No te volveré a hacer nada malo, porque has valorado hoy mi vida, he sido tonto y mi error es muy grave”.

22 Then Dauid answered, and saide, Beholde the Kings speare, let one of the yong men come ouer and set it.

Entonces dijo David: ¡Aquí está la lanza del rey! Dejemos que uno de los jóvenes venga a buscarlo.

23 And let the Lord rewarde euery man according to his righteousnesse and faithfulnesse: for the Lord had deliuered thee into mine handes this day, but I woulde not lay mine hand vpon the Lords anointed.

Y el Señor dará a cada hombre la recompensa de su justicia y su fidelidad, porque el Señor te entregó hoy en mis manos, y no pondría mi mano contra el hombre que ha sido ungido con el aceite santo.

24 And beholde, like as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes: so let my life be set by in the eyes of the Lord, that he may deliuer me out of all tribulation.

Y así, como he respetado tu vida hoy, que mi vida sea querida para el Señor y que él me libere de todos mis problemas.

25 Then Saul said to Dauid, Blessed art thou, my sonne Dauid: for thou shalt doe great things, and also preuaile. So Dauid went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

Entonces dijo Saúl a David: Que te bendiga, David, hijo mío. Harás grandes cosas y sin duda vencerás. Entonces David siguió su camino, y Saúl volvió a su lugar.
