1 Samuel 22
1 Dauid therefore departed thence, and saued him selfe in the caue of Adullam: and when his brethren and all his fathers house heard it, they went downe thither to him.
௧தாவீது அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுத் தப்பி, அதுல்லாம் என்னும் குகைக்குப் போனான்; அதை அவன் சகோதரர்களும் அவன் தகப்பன் வீட்டார்கள் அனைவரும் கேட்டு, அங்கே அவனிடத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.
2 And there gathered vnto him all men that were in trouble and all men that were in dette, and all those that were vexed in minde, and he was their prince, and there were with him about foure hundreth men.
௨ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள், கடன்பட்டவர்கள், முறுமுறுக்கிறவர்கள் யாவரும் அவனோடு கூடிக்கொண்டார்கள்; அவன் அவர்களுக்குத் தலைவனானான்; இந்தப் படியாக ஏறக்குறைய 400 பேர் அவனோடு இருந்தார்கள்.
3 And Dauid went thence to Mizpeh in Moab, and said vnto the King of Moab, I pray thee, let my father and my mother come and abide with you, till I knowe what God wil doe for me.
௩தாவீது அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டு மோவாபியர்களைச் சேர்ந்த மிஸ்பேக்குப் போய், மோவாபின் ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: தேவன் என்னை எப்படி நடத்துவார் என்று நான் அறியும் வரை, என்னுடைய தகப்பனும் என்னுடைய தாயும் உங்களிடத்திலே தங்கியிருக்கும்படி தயை செய்யும் என்று சொல்லி,
4 And he brought them before the King of Moab, and they dwelt with him all the while that Dauid was in the holde.
௪அவர்களை மோவாபின் ராஜாவிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போய்விட்டான்; தாவீது கோட்டையில் இருந்த நாளெல்லாம் அவர்கள் அங்கே அவனோடிருந்தார்கள்.
5 And the Prophet Gad sayde vnto Dauid, Abide not in the holde, but depart and goe into the land of Iudah. Then Dauid departed and came into the forest of Hareth.
௫பின்பு காத் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசி தாவீதைப் பார்த்து: நீர் கோட்டையில் இருக்காமல் யூதா தேசத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டு வாரும் என்றான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீது புறப்பட்டு ஆரேத் என்னும் காட்டிற்கு போனான்.
6 And Saul heard that Dauid was discouered, and the men that were with him, and Saul remayned in Gibeah vnder a tree in Ramah, hauing his speare in his hande, and all his seruants stoode about him.
௬தாவீதும் அவனோடிருந்த மனிதர்களும் காணப்பட்ட செய்தியை சவுல் கேள்விப்பட்டான்; சவுல் கிபியாவைச் சேர்ந்த ராமாவில் ஒரு தோப்பிலே உட்கார்ந்து, தன்னுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்கள் எல்லோரும் தன்னைச் சூழ்ந்து நிற்க, தன் ஈட்டியைத் தன் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது,
7 And Saul said vnto his seruants that stood about him, Heare now, ye sonnes of Iemini, wil the sonne of Ishai giue euery one of you fields and vineyardes: will he make you all captaines ouer thousands, and captaines ouer hundreths:
௭சவுல் தன்னுடைய அருகில் நிற்கிற தன் ஊழியக்காரர்களைப் பார்த்து: பென்யமீன் மக்களே, கேளுங்கள்; ஈசாயின் மகன் உங்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் வயல்களையும் திராட்சைத்தோட்டங்களையும் கொடுப்பானோ? உங்களெல்லோரையும் ஆயிரத்திற்கு அதிபதிகளும் நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதிகளுமாக வைப்பானோ?
8 That all ye haue conspired against me, and there is none that tellerh mee that my sonne hath made a couenant with the sonne of Ishai? and there is none of you that is sory for me, or sheweth mee, that my sonne hath stirred vp my seruant to lie in wayte against me, as appeareth this day?
௮நீங்களெல்லோரும் எனக்கு எதிராக சதி செய்தது என்ன? ஈசாயின் மகனுடனே என் குமாரன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்யும்போது, என் செவிக்கு அதை ஒருவனும் வெளிப்படுத்தவில்லை; எனக்காகப் பரிதாபப்பட்டு, என் செவிக்கு அதை வெளிப்படுத்த உங்களில் ஒருவன் கூட இல்லையா? இந்த நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி எனக்குச் சதிசெய்ய, என்னுடைய மகன் என்னுடைய வேலைக்காரனை எனக்கு விரோதமாக தூண்டிவிட்டானே என்றான்.
9 Then answered Doeg the Edomite (who was appoynted ouer the seruants of Saul) and sayd, I saw the sonne of Ishai when he came to Nob, to Ahimelech the sonne of Ahitub,
௯அப்பொழுது சவுலின் ஊழியக்காரர்களோடு நின்ற ஏதோமியனாகிய தோவேக்கு பதிலாக: ஈசாயின் மகனை நோபிலிருக்கிற அகிதூபின் மகனான அகிமெலேக்கிடத்தில் வரக்கண்டேன்.
10 Who asked counsell of the Lord for him and gaue him vitailes, and he gaue him also the sword of Goliath the Philistim.
௧0இவன் அவனுக்காகக் யெகோவாவிடத்தில் விசாரித்து, அவனுக்கு வழிக்கு ஆகாரம் கொடுத்து, பெலிஸ்தனாகிய கோலியாத்தின் பட்டயத்தையும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான் என்றான்.
11 Then the King sent to call Ahimelech the Priest the sonne of Ahitub, and all his fathers house, to wit, the Priests that were in Nob: and they came all to the King.
௧௧அப்பொழுது ராஜா: அகிதூபின் மகனான அகிமெலேக் என்னும் ஆசாரியனையும், நோபிலிருக்கிற அவன் தகப்பன் வீட்டார்களாகிய எல்லா ஆசாரியர்களையும் அழைத்தான்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்.
12 And Saul said, Heare now thou sonne of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.
௧௨அப்பொழுது சவுல்: அகிதூபின் மகனே கேள் என்று சொல்ல, அவன்: இதோ, இருக்கிறேன் என்னுடைய ஆண்டவனே என்றான்.
13 Then Saul sayde vnto him, Why haue yee conspired against me, thou and the sonne of Ishai, in that thou hast giuen him vitaile, and a sworde, and hast asked counsell of God for him, that he should rise against me, and lye in wayte as appeareth this day?
௧௩அப்பொழுது சவுல் அவனை நோக்கி: நீயும் ஈசாயின் மகனும் எனக்கு விரோதமாக சதிசெய்து, இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி எனக்குச் சதிசெய்ய அவன் எனக்கு எதிராக எழும்பும்படி, நீ அவனுக்கு ரொட்டியும் பட்டயமும் கொடுத்து, தேவசந்நிதியில் அவனுக்காக விசாரித்தது என்ன என்றான்.
14 And Ahimelech answered the King, and sayde, Who is so faithfull among all thy seruants as Dauid, being also the Kings sonne in lawe, and goeth at thy commandement, and is honourable in thine house?
௧௪அகிமெலேக் ராஜாவுக்குப் பதிலாக: உம்முடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரர்களிலும் தாவீதைப் போல, ராஜாவுக்கு மருமகனும், உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளின்படி செய்து வருகிறவனும், உம்முடைய வீட்டிலே கனமுள்ளவனுமாயிருக்கிற உண்மையுள்ளவன் யார்?
15 Haue I this day first begun to aske counsell of God for him? be it farre from mee, let not the King impute any thing vnto his seruant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy seruant knew nothing of all this, lesse nor more.
௧௫இன்றையதினம் அவனுக்காக தேவனிடத்தில் வேண்டுதல் செய்யத் தொடங்கினேனோ? அது எனக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக; ராஜா தம்முடைய அடியானாகிய என்மேலாவது என்னுடைய தகப்பன் வீட்டார்களில் எவன் மேலாவது குற்றம் சுமத்தவேண்டாம்; உம்முடைய அடியான் இவைகளிலெல்லாம் ஒரு சிறிய காரியமாகிலும் பெரிய காரியமாகிலும் அறிந்ததில்லை என்றான்.
16 Then the King sayd, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy fathers house.
௧௬ராஜாவோ: அகிமெலேக்கே, நீயும் உன்னுடைய தகப்பன் வீட்டார்கள் அனைவரும் நிச்சயமாக சாகவேண்டும் என்றான்.
17 And the King sayde vnto the sergeantes that stoode about him, Turne, and slay the Priestes of the Lord, because their hand also is with Dauid, and because they knewe when he fled, and shewed it not vnto mee. But the seruantes of the King would not moue their hands to fall vpon the Priests of the Lord.
௧௭பின்பு ராஜா தன்னருகில் நிற்கிற காவலர்களை பார்த்து: நீங்கள் போய், யெகோவாவுடைய ஆசாரியர்களைக் கொல்லுங்கள்; அவர்கள் கையும் தாவீதோடே இருக்கிறது; அவன் ஓடிப்போகிறதை அவர்கள் அறிந்திருந்தும், அதை எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தவில்லை என்றான்; ராஜாவின் வேலைக்காரர்களோ, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆசாரியர்களைக் கொல்லத் தங்கள் கைகளை நீட்ட சம்மதிக்கவில்லை.
18 Then the King sayde to Doeg, Turne thou and fall vpon the Priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and ran vpon the Priestes, and slewe that same daye foure score and fiue persons that did weare a linen Ephod.
௧௮அப்பொழுது ராஜா தோவேக்கை நோக்கி: நீ போய் ஆசாரியர்களைக் கொன்றுபோடு என்றான்; ஏதோமியனாகிய தோவேக்கு ஆசாரியர்கள்மேல் விழுந்து, சணல் நூல் ஏபோத்தை அணிந்திருக்கும் 85 பேரை அன்றையதினம் கொன்றான்.
19 Also Nob the citie of the Priestes smote he with the edge of the sword, both man and woman, both childe and suckling, both oxe and asse, and sheepe with the edge of the sword.
௧௯ஆசாரியர்களின் பட்டணமாகிய நோபிலுமுள்ள ஆண்களையும், பெண்களையும், குழந்தைகளையும், கைக் குழந்தைகளையும், மாடுகளையும், கழுதைகளையும், ஆடுகளையும் கூர்மையான பட்டயத்தால் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்.
20 But one of the sonnes of Ahimelech the sonne of Ahitub (whose name was Abiathar) escaped and fled after Dauid.
௨0அகிதூபின் மகனான அகிமெலேக்கின் மகன்களில் அபியத்தார் என்னும் பெயருள்ள ஒருவன் தப்பி, தாவீது இருக்கும் இடத்திற்கு ஓடிப்போய்,
21 And Abiathar shewed Dauid, that Saul had slayne the Lords Priestes.
௨௧சவுல் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆசாரியர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்ட செய்தியை தாவீதுக்கு அறிவித்தான்.
22 And Dauid sayd vnto Abiathar, I knewe it the same day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would tell Saul. I am the cause of the death of all the persons of thy fathers house.
௨௨அப்பொழுது தாவீது அபியத்தாரைப் பார்த்து: ஏதோமியனாகிய தோவேக்கு அங்கே இருந்ததாலே, அவன் எப்படியாகிலும் சவுலுக்கு அதை அறிவிப்பான் என்று அன்றையதினமே அறிந்திருந்தேன்; உன்னுடைய தகப்பன் வீட்டார்களாகிய எல்லோருடைய மரணத்திற்கும் காரணம் நானே.
23 Abide thou with me, and feare not: for he that seeketh my life, shall seeke thy life also: for with me thou shalt be in safegard.
௨௩நீ என்னிடத்தில் இரு, பயப்படவேண்டாம்; என் உயிரை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவனே உன்னுடைய உயிரையும் வாங்கத்தேடுகிறான்; நீ என்னுடைய ஆதரவிலே இரு என்றான்.
