1 Samuel 19
1 Then Saul spake to Ionathan his sonne, and to all his seruantes, that they shoulde kill Dauid: but Ionathan Sauls sonne had a great fauour to Dauid.
E falou Saul a Jônatas seu filho, e a todos os seus criados, para que matassem a Davi; mas Jônatas filho de Saul amava a Davi em grande maneira.
2 And Ionathan told Dauid, saying, Saul my father goeth about to slay thee: nowe therefore, I pray thee, take heede vnto thy selfe vnto the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thy selfe.
E deu aviso a Davi, dizendo: Saul meu pai procura matar-te; portanto olha agora por ti até a manhã, e fica-te em lugar oculto, e esconde-te:
3 And I will go out, and stand by my father in the fielde where thou art, and will commune with my father of thee, and I will see what he sayth, and will tell thee.
E eu sairei e estarei junto a meu pai no campo de onde estiveres: e falarei de ti a meu pai, e te farei saber o que notar.
4 And Ionathan spake good of Dauid vnto Saul his father, and said vnto him, Let not the King sinne against his seruat, against Dauid: for he hath not sinned against thee, but his works haue bene to thee very good.
E Jônatas falou bem de Davi a Saul seu pai, e disse-lhe: Não peque o rei contra seu servo Davi, pois que nenhuma coisa cometeu contra ti: antes suas obras te foram muito boas;
5 For he did put his life in daunger, and slew the Philistim, and the Lord wrought a great saluation for al Israel: thou sawest it, and thou reioycedst: wherefore then wilt thou sinne against innocent blood, and slay Dauid without a cause?
Porque ele pôs sua alma em sua palma, e feriu ao filisteu, e o SENHOR fez uma grande salvação a todo Israel. Tu o viste, e te alegraste: por que, pois, pecarás contra o sangue inocente, matando a Davi sem causa?
6 Then Saul hearkened vnto the voyce of Ionathan, and Saul sware, As the Lord liueth, he shall not dye.
E ouvindo Saul a voz de Jônatas, jurou: Vive o SENHOR, que não morrerá.
7 So Ionathan called Dauid, and Ionathan shewed him all those words, and Ionathan brought Dauid to Saul, and hee was in his presence as in times past.
Chamando então Jônatas a Davi, declarou-lhe todas estas palavras; e ele mesmo apresentou Davi a Saul, e esteve diante dele como antes.
8 Againe the warre began, and Dauid went out and fought with the Philistims, and slew them with a great slaughter, and they fled from him.
E voltou a fazer-se guerra: e saiu Davi e lutou contra os filisteus, e feriu-os com grande estrago, e fugiram diante dele.
9 And the euill spirit of the Lord was vpon Saul, as hee sate in his house hauing his speare in his hand, and Dauid played with his hand.
E o espírito mau da parte do SENHOR foi sobre Saul: e estando sentado em sua casa tinha uma lança à mão, enquanto Davi estava tocando harpa com sua mão.
10 And Saul intended to smite Dauid to the wall with the speare: but hee turned aside out of Sauls presence, and he smote the speare against the wall: but Dauid fled, and escaped the same night.
E Saul procurou encravar a Davi com a lança na parede; mas ele se afastou de diante de Saul, o qual feriu com a lança na parede; e Davi fugiu, e escapou-se aquela noite.
11 Saul also sent messengers vnto Dauids house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal Dauids wife told it him, saying, If thou saue not thy selfe this night, to morowe thou shalt be slayne.
Saul enviou logo mensageiros à casa de Davi para que o guardassem, e o matassem à manhã. Mas Mical sua mulher o revelou a Davi, dizendo: Se não salvares tua vida esta noite, amanhã serás morto.
12 So Michal let Dauid downe through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
E baixou Mical a Davi por uma janela; e ele se foi, e fugiu, e escapou-se.
13 Then Michal tooke an image, and layde it in the bed, and put a pillow stuffed with goates heare vnder the head of it, and couered it with a cloth.
Tomou logo Mical uma estátua, e a pôs sobre a cama, e acomodou-lhe por cabeceira uma almofada de pelos de cabra, e cobriu-a com uma roupa.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take Dauid, she sayd, He is sicke.
E quando Saul enviou mensageiros que tomassem a Davi, ela respondeu: Está enfermo.
15 And Saul sent the messengers againe to see Dauid, saying, Bring him to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
E voltou Saul a enviar mensageiros para que vissem a Davi, dizendo: Trazei-o a mim na cama para que o mate.
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, an image was in the bed, with a pillow of goates heare vnder the head of it.
E quando os mensageiros entraram, eis que a estátua estava na cama, e uma almofada de pelos de cabra por cabeceira.
17 And Saul said vnto Michal, Why hast thou mocked me so, and sent away mine enemie, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said vnto me, Let me go, or els I will kill thee.
Então Saul disse a Mical: Por que me enganaste assim, e deixaste escapar a meu inimigo? E Mical respondeu a Saul: Porque ele me disse: Deixa-me ir; se não, eu te matarei.
18 So Dauid fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him: and he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
Fugiu, pois, Davi, e escapou-se, e veio a Samuel em Ramá, e disse-lhe tudo o que Saul havia feito com ele. E foram-se ele e Samuel, e moraram em Naiote.
19 But one tolde Saul, saying, Beholde, Dauid is at Naioth in Ramah.
E foi dado aviso a Saul, dizendo: Eis que Davi está em Naiote em Ramá.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take Dauid: and when they sawe a company of Prophets prophecying, and Samuel standing as appoynted ouer them, the Spirit of God fell vpon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophecied.
E enviou Saul mensageiros que trouxessem a Davi, os quais viram uma companhia de profetas que profetizavam, e a Samuel que estava ali, e os presidia. E foi o espírito de Deus sobre os mensageiros de Saul, e eles também profetizaram.
21 And when it was tolde Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophecied likewise: againe Saul sent the third messengers, and they prophecied also.
E feito que foi saber a Saul, ele enviou outros mensageiros, os quais também profetizaram. E Saul voltou a enviar pela terceira vez mensageiros, e eles também profetizaram.
22 Then went he himselfe to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu, and he asked, and sayd, Where are Samuel and Dauid? and one sayd, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
Então ele mesmo veio a Ramá; e chegando ao poço grande que está em Socó, perguntou dizendo: Onde estão Samuel e Davi? E foi-lhe respondido: Eis que estão em Naiote em Ramá.
23 And he went thither, euen to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came vpon him also, and he went prophecying vntill hee came to Naioth in Ramah.
E foi ali a Naiote em Ramá; e também veio sobre ele o espírito de Deus, e ia profetizando, até que chegou a Naiote em Ramá.
24 And he stript off his clothes, and he prophesied also before Samuel, and fell downe naked all that day and all that night: therefore they say, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
E ele também se desnudou suas roupas, e profetizou igualmente diante de Samuel, e caiu nu todo aquele dia e toda aquela noite. De aqui se disse: Também Saul entre os profetas?
