1 Samuel 15
1 Afterward Samuel said vnto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee King ouer his people, ouer Israel: nowe therefore obey the voyce of the wordes of the Lord.
१शमुवेल शौलाला म्हणाला, “परमेश्वराने आपले लोक इस्राएल यांच्यावर तू राजा व्हावे म्हणून तुला अभिषिक्त करायला मला पाठवले तर आता तू परमेश्वराची वचने ऐक.
2 Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I remember what Amalek did to Israel, howe they laide waite for the in ye way, as they came vp from Egypt.
२सैन्यांचा परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, इस्राएल मिसरातून वर येत असता अमालेकाने त्यास काय केले, म्हणजे तो वाटेवर त्याच्याविरुध्द कसा उभा राहिला हे मी पाहिले आहे.
3 Nowe therefore goe, and sinite Amalek, and destroy ye all that perteyneth vnto them, and haue no compassion on them, but slay both man and woman, both infant and suckling, both oxe, and sheepe, both camell, and asse.
३आता तू जाऊन अमालेकाला मार आणि त्यांचे जे आहे त्या सर्वांचा नाश कर त्यांना सोडू नको तर पुरुष व स्त्रिया मुले व बालके व गाय-बैल, मेंढरे व उंट व गाढव यांना जिवे मार.”
4 And Saul assembled ye people, and nombred them in Telaim, two hundreth thousande footemen, and ten thousand men of Iudah.
४मग शौलाने लोकांस बोलावून तलाईमात त्यांची मोजणी केली; ते दोन लक्ष पायदळ होते व यहूदातील माणसे दहा हजार होती.
5 And Saul came to a citie of Amalek, and set watch at the riuer.
५मग शौल अमालेकाच्या नगराजवळ जाऊन एका खोऱ्यात दबा धरून राहिला.
6 And Saul said vnto the Kenites, Goe, depart, and get you downe from among the Amalekites, least I destroy you with them: for ye shewed mercie to all the children of Israel, when they came vp from Egypt: and the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
६तेव्हा शौलाने केनी लोकांस म्हटले, “अमालेक्याबरोबर तुम्हास मारू नये म्हणून तुम्ही त्याच्यांमधून निघून जा; कारण इस्राएल लोक मिसरांतून आले तेव्हा तुम्ही त्यांच्याशी स्नेहाने वर्तला.” तेव्हा केनी अमालेक्यामधून निघून गेले.
7 So Saul smote the Amalekites from Hauilah as thou commest to Shur, that is before Egypt,
७मग शौलाने हवीला पासून मिसरासमोरील शूरापर्यंत अमालेक्यांना मार दिला.
8 And tooke Agag the King of the Amalekites aliue, and destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.
८त्याने अमालेक्यांचा राजा अगाग याला जिवंत धरले आणि त्या सर्व लोकांस तलवारीच्या धारेखाली जिवे मारले.
9 But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the better sheepe, and the oxen, and the fat beasts, and the lambes, and all that was good, and they would not destroy them: but euery thing that was vile and nought worth, that they destroyed.
९तथापि शौलाने व लोकांनी अगागला जिवंत ठेवले; तसेच मेंढरे, बैल, पशु, कोकरे, असे जे काही चांगले धष्टपुष्ट ते राखून ठेवले त्यांचा अगदीच नाश केला नाही; परंतु जे टाकाऊ आणि निरूपयोगी होते त्या सर्वांचा त्यांनी संपूर्ण नाश केला.
10 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Samuel, saying,
१०तेव्हा परमेश्वराचे वचन शमुवेलाकडे आले, ते म्हणाले,
11 It repenteth me that I haue made Saul King: for he is turned from me, and hath not performed my commandements. And Samuel was mooued, and cryed vnto the Lord all night.
११“मी शौलाला राजा केले याचे मला दु: ख होत आहे. कारण तो मला अनुसरण्याचे सोडून मागे वळला आहे आणि त्याने माझ्या आज्ञा पाळल्या नाहीत.” मग शमुवेलाला राग आला आणि त्याने सारी रात्र परमेश्वराचा धावा केला.
12 And when Samuel arose early to meete Saul in the morning, one tolde Samuel, saying, Saul is gone to Carmel: and beholde, he hath made him there a place, from whence he returned, and departed, and is gone downe to Gilgal.
१२शमुवेल शौलाला भेटण्यासाठी पहाटेस उठला. तेव्हा कोणी शमुवेलाला सांगितले की, शौल कर्मेलास आला होता आणि पाहा आपणासाठी स्मारक उभारून परतला व खाली गिलगालास गेला आहे.
13 Then Samuel came to Saul, and Saul said vnto him. Blessed be thou of the Lord, I haue fulfilled the commandement of the Lord.
१३मग शमुवेल शौलाकडे आला, आणि शौल त्यास म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर तुम्हास आशीर्वादित करो! मी परमेश्वराची आज्ञा पूर्णपणे पाळली आहे.”
14 But Samuel saide, What meaneth then the bleating of the sheepe in mine eares, and the lowing of the oxen which I heare?
१४तेव्हा शमुवेल म्हणाला, “तर मेंढरांचे ओरडणे माझ्या कानी पडते व गाय-बैलांचे हंबरणे मी ऐकतो ते काय आहे?”
15 And Saul answered, They haue brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheepe, and of the oxen to sacrifice them vnto the Lord thy God, and the remnant haue we destroyed.
१५मग शौल म्हणाला, “लोकांनी ती अमालेक्यांपासून आणली. कारण त्यांनी मेंढरे व गुरे यातील उत्तम ती परमेश्वर तुमचा देव याला यज्ञ अर्पण करण्यासाठी राखून ठेवली आहेत. पण आम्ही बाकीचा पूर्णपणे नाश केला.”
16 Againe Samuel saide to Saul, Let me tell thee what the Lord hath saide to me this night. And he said vnto him, Say on.
१६तेव्हा शमुवेलाने शौलाला म्हटले, “तू थांब, म्हणजे या गेल्या रात्री परमेश्वराने मला काय सांगितले.” ते मी तुला ऐकवतो. शौल त्यास म्हणाला, “बोला!”
17 Then Samuel saide, When thou wast litle in thine owne sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel? for the Lord anointed thee King ouer Israel.
१७मग शमुवेल म्हणाला, “तू आपल्या दृष्टीने लहान होतास तेव्हा तुला इस्राएलाच्या वंशांचा मुख्य करण्यात आले नाही काय? आणि परमेश्वराने तुला इस्राएलावर राजा केले”
18 And the Lord sent thee on a iourney, and saide, Goe, and destroy those sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them, vntill thou destroy them.
१८परमेश्वराने तुला तुझ्या मार्गावर पाठवून सांगितले की, जा त्या पापी अमालेक्यांचा नाश कर. ते नाहीसे होईपर्यंत त्यांच्याशी लढाई कर.
19 Nowe wherefore hast thou not obeyed the voyce of the Lord, but hast turned to the pray, and hast done wickedly in the sight of the Lord?
१९तर मग तू परमेश्वराचे वचन का पाळले नाही? तू तर लुट पकडून परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट ते का केले?
20 And Saul saide vnto Samuel, Yea, I haue obeyed the voyce of the Lord, and haue gone the way which the Lord sent me, and haue brought Agag the King of Amalek, and haue destroyed the Amalekites.
२०तेव्हा शौल शमुवेलाला म्हणाला, “मी परमेश्वराचे वचन खरोखरच पाळले व ज्या मार्गावर परमेश्वराने मला पाठवले त्यामध्ये मी चाललो आणि अमालेक्यांचा नाश करून अमालेकाचा राजा अगाग याला मी घेऊन आलो आहे.
21 But the people tooke of the spoyle, sheepe, and oxen, and the chiefest of the things which shoulde haue bene destroyed, to offer vnto the Lord thy God in Gilgal.
२१परंतु ज्यांचा नाश करायचा होता अशी जी लुटीची मेंढरे व गुरे त्यातली उत्तम ती लोकांनी परमेश्वर तुझा देव याला गिलगालात यज्ञ करण्यासाठी ठेवून घेतली.”
22 And Samuel saide, Hath the Lord as great pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as when the voyce of the Lord is obeyed? beholde, to obey is better then sacrifice, and to hearken is better then the fatte of rammes.
२२शमुवेल म्हणाला, “परमेश्वरास आपले वचन पाळण्याने जितका आनंद होतो तितका आनंद होमार्पणांनी व यज्ञांनी होतो काय? पाहा यज्ञापेक्षा आज्ञा पालन करणे आणि मेंढरांच्या चरबीपेक्षा वचन ऐकणे अधिक चांगले आहे.
23 For rebellion is as the sinne of withcraft, and transgression is wickednesse and idolatrie. Because thou hast cast away the worde of the Lord, therefore hee hath cast away thee from being King.
२३कारण बंडखोरी जादुगीरीच्या पापासारखी आहे आणि हट्ट हा दुष्टपणा, मूर्तीपूजा व घोर अन्याय, मूर्ती करणे यासारखा आहे. तू परमेश्वराचे वचन नाकारले यामुळे राजा म्हणून त्याने तुला नाकारले आहे.”
24 Then Saul sayde vnto Samuel, I haue sinned: for I haue transgressed the commandement of the Lord, and thy wordes, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voyce.
२४मग शौल शमुवेलाला म्हणाला, “मी पाप केले आहे; कारण मी परमेश्वराची आज्ञा व तुझी वचने मोडली आहेत, ते यामुळे की, लोकांचे भय धरून मी त्यांचे ऐकले.
25 Nowe therefore I pray thee, take away my sinne, and turne againe with mee, that I may worship the Lord.
२५तर मी तुला विनंती करतो, माझ्या पापीची क्षमा कर, आणि मी परमेश्वराची आराधना करावी म्हणून माझ्याबरोबर परत ये.”
26 But Samuel saide vnto Saul, I will not returne with thee: for thou hast cast away the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath cast away thee, that thou shalt not be King ouer Israel.
२६शमुवेल शौलाला म्हणाला, “मी तुझ्याबरोबर परत जाणार नाही; कारण तू देवाचे वचन धिक्कारले, आणि परमेश्वराने तुला इस्राएलावर राज्य करण्यापासून धिक्कारले आहे.”
27 And as Samuel turned himselfe to goe away, he caught the lappe of his coate, and it rent.
२७शमुवेल जायला वळला तेव्हा शौलाने त्याच्या झग्याचा काठ धरला व तो फाटला.
28 Then Samuel saide vnto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdome of Israel from thee this day, and hath giuen it to thy neighbour, that is better then thou.
२८तेव्हा शमुवेलाने त्यास म्हटले, “परमेश्वराने आज इस्राएलाचे राज्य तुझ्यापासून फाडून घेऊन तुझा शेजारी जो तुझ्यापेक्षा बरा त्यास दिले आहे.
29 For in deede the strength of Israel will not lye nor repent: for hee is not a man that hee should repent.
२९तसेच, इस्राएलाचे सामर्थ्य तो आहे, तो खोटे बोलणार नाही किंवा त्याचे मन बदलणार नाही; कारण मन बदलणारा असा तो मनुष्य नाही.”
30 Then he saide, I haue sinned: but honour mee, I pray thee, before the Elders of my people, and before Israel, and turne againe with mee, that I may worship the Lord thy God.
३०तेव्हा शौल म्हणाला, “मी पाप केले आहे. तरी आता मी तुला विनंती करतो माझ्या लोकांच्या वडिलांसमोर व इस्राएलासमोर तू माझा सन्मान कर आणि परमेश्वर तुझा देव याचे भजन पूजन मी करावे म्हणून माझ्याबरोबर परत ये.”
31 So Samuel turned againe, and followed Saul: and Saul worshipped the Lord.
३१मग शमुवेल वळून शौलाच्या मागे आला आणि शौलाने परमेश्वराचे भजन पूजन केले.
32 Then saide Samuel, Bring yee hither to me Agag ye King of the Amalekites: and Agag came vnto him pleasantly, and Agag saide, Truely the bitternesse of death is passed.
३२मग शमुवेल म्हणाला, “अमालेक्याचा राजा अगाग याला माझ्याकडे आणा.” तेव्हा अगाग डौलाने त्याच्याकडे आला, आणि अगागाने म्हटले खचित मरणाचे कडूपण निघून गेले आहे.
33 And Samuel sayde, As thy sworde hath made women childlesse, so shall thy mother bee childelesse among other women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.
३३तेव्हा शमुवेल म्हणाला, “जसे तुझ्या तलवारीने स्त्रियांना बालकांविरहित केले आहे, तशी बायकांमध्ये तुझी आई बालकाविरहित होईल.” मग शमुवेलाने गिलगालात परमेश्वराच्या समोर अगागाचे तुकडे तुकडे केले.
34 So Samuel departed to Ramah, and Saul went vp to his house to Gibeah of Saul.
३४त्यानंतर शमुवेल रामा येथे गेला आणि शौल आपल्या घरी शौलाच्या गिब्यास गेला.
35 And Samuel came no more to see Saul vntill the day of his death: but Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Lord repented that hee made Saul King ouer Israel.
३५शमुवेल आपल्या मरणाच्या दिवसापर्यंत शौलाला भेटायला आणखी गेला नाही; तरी शमुवेलाने शौलासाठी शोक केला; आपण शौलाला इस्राएलांवर राजा केले म्हणून परमेश्वर अनुतापला.
