1 Peter 5
1 The elders which are among you, I beseech which am also an elder, and a witnesse of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shalbe reueiled,
Yo ruego a los ancianos que están entre vosotros, (yo anciano también con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy también participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada: )
2 Feede the flocke of God, which dependeth vpon you, caring for it not by constraint, but willingly: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready minde:
Apacentád el rebaño de Dios que está ent re vosotros, teniendo cuidado de él, no por fuerza, mas voluntariamente: no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
3 Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke.
Y no como teniendo señorío sobre las herencias de Dios, sino de tal manera que seáis dechados de la grey.
4 And when that chiefe shepheard shall appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.
Y cuando apareciere el Príncipe de los pastores, vosotros recibiréis la corona inmarcesible de gloria.
5 Likewise ye yonger, submit your selues vnto the elders, and submit your selues euery man, one to another: decke your selues inwardly in lowlinesse of minde: for God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.
Semejantemente vosotros los jóvenes, sed sujetos a los ancianos, de tal manera que seáis todos sujetos uno a otro. Vestíos de humildad de ánimo; porque Dios resiste a los soberbios, y da gracia a los humildes.
6 Humble your selues therefore vnder the mightie hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
Humilláos pues debajo de la poderosa mano de Dios, para que él os ensalce cuando fuere tiempo:
7 Cast all your care on him: for he careth for you.
Echando toda vuestra solicitud en él; porque él tiene cuidado de vosotros.
8 Be sober, and watch: for your aduersarie the deuil as a roaring lyon walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure:
Sed templados, y velád; porque vuestro adversario el diablo anda como león bramando en derredor de vosotros, buscando alguno que trague:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren which are in the world.
Al cual resistíd firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
10 And the God of all grace, which hath called vs vnto his eternall glory by Christ Iesus, after that ye haue suffered a litle, make you perfite, confirme, strengthen and stablish you. (aiōnios g166)
Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado a su gloria eterna por Jesu Cristo, después que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, el mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore, y establezca: (aiōnios g166)
A él la gloria, y el imperio para siempre. Amén. (aiōn g165)
12 By Syluanus a faithfull brother vnto you, as I suppose, haue I written briefly, exhorting and testifying how that this is the true grace of God, wherein ye stand.
Por Silvano que os es (según yo pienso) hermano fiel, os he escrito brevemente, amonestándoos, y testificándo os, que ésta es la verdadera gracia de Dios, en la cual estáis.
13 The Church that is at Babylon elected together with you, saluteth you, and Marcus my sonne.
La iglesia que está en Babilonia, juntamente elegida con vosotros, se os encomienda, y Márcos mi hijo.
14 Greete yee one another with the kisse of loue. Peace be with you all which are in Christ Iesus, Amen.
Saludáos unos a otros con beso de amor. Paz a vosotros todos, los que estáis en Cristo Jesús. Amén.
