1 Peter 2
1 Wherefore, laying aside all maliciousnes, and all guile, and dissimulation, and enuie, and all euill speaking,
| لهذا هر نوع کینه و هر مکر و ریا و حسد وهرقسم بدگویی را ترک کرده، | ۱ |
2 As newe borne babes desire that sincere milke of the woorde, that yee may growe thereby,
| چون اطفال نوزاده، مشتاق شیر روحانی و بی‌غش باشید تا از آن برای نجات نمو کنید، | ۲ |
3 Because yee haue tasted that the Lord is bountifull.
| اگرفی الواقع چشیده‌اید که خداوند مهربان است. | ۳ |
4 To whome comming as vnto a liuing stone disallowed of men, but chosen of God and precious,
| و به او تقرب جسته، یعنی به آن سنگ زنده رد شده از مردم، لکن نزد خدا برگزیده و مکرم. | ۴ |
5 Yee also as liuely stones, bee made a spirituall house, an holy Priesthoode to offer vp spirituall sacrifices acceptable to God by Iesus Christ.
| شما نیز مثل سنگهای زنده بنا کرده می‌شوید به عمارت روحانی و کهانت مقدس تا قربانی های روحانی و مقبول خدا را بواسطه عیسی مسیح بگذرانید. | ۵ |
6 Wherefore also it is conteyned in the Scripture, Beholde, I put in Sion a chiefe corner stone, elect and precious: and hee that beleeueth therein, shall not be ashamed.
| بنابراین، در کتاب مکتوب است که «اینک می‌نهم در صهیون سنگی سر زاویه برگزیده و مکرم و هر‌که به وی ایمان آورد خجل نخواهد شد.» | ۶ |
7 Vnto you therefore which beleeue, it is precious: but vnto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
| پس شما را که ایمان دارید اکرام است، لکن آنانی را که ایمان ندارند، «آن سنگی که معماران رد کردند، همان سر زاویه گردید»، | ۷ |
8 And a stone to stumble at, and a rocke of offence, euen to them which stumble at the woorde, being disobedient, vnto the which thing they were euen ordeined.
| و «سنگ لغزش دهنده و صخره مصادم»، زیرا که اطاعت کلام نکرده، لغزش می‌خورند که برای همین معین شده‌اند. | ۸ |
9 But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,
| لکن شما قبیله برگزیده و کهانت ملوکانه وامت مقدس و قومی که ملک خاص خدا باشدهستید تا فضایل او را که شما را از ظلمت، به نورعجیب خود خوانده است، اعلام نمایید. | ۹ |
10 Which in time past were not a people, yet are nowe the people of God: which in time past were not vnder mercie, but nowe haue obteined mercie.
| که سابق قومی نبودید و الان قوم خدا هستید. آن وقت از رحمت محروم، اما الحال رحمت کرده شده‌اید. | ۱۰ |
11 Dearely beloued, I beseeche you, as strangers and pilgrims, abstaine from fleshly lusts, which fight against the soule,
| ای محبوبان، استدعا دارم که چون غریبان و بیگانگان از شهوات جسمی که با نفس در نزاع هستند، اجتناب نمایید؛ | ۱۱ |
12 And haue your conuersation honest among the Gentiles, that they which speake euill of you as of euill doers, may by your good woorkes which they shall see, glorifie God in the day of visitation.
| و سیرت خود را درمیان امت‌ها نیکو دارید تا در همان امری که شمارا مثل بدکاران بد می‌گویند، از کارهای نیکوی شما که ببینند، در روز تفقد، خدا را تمجیدنمایند. | ۱۲ |
13 Therefore submit your selues vnto all maner ordinance of man for the Lordes sake, whether it be vnto the King, as vnto the superiour,
| لهذا هر منصب بشری را بخاطر خداونداطاعت کنید، خواه پادشاه را که فوق همه است، | ۱۳ |
14 Or vnto gouernours, as vnto them that are sent of him, for the punishment of euill doers, and for the praise of them that doe well.
| و خواه حکام را که رسولان وی هستند، بجهت انتقام کشیدن از بدکاران و تحسین نیکوکاران. | ۱۴ |
15 For so is the will of God, that by well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of the foolish men,
| زیرا که همین است اراده خدا که به نیکوکاری خود، جهالت مردمان بی‌فهم را ساکت نمایید، | ۱۵ |
16 As free, and not as hauing the libertie for a cloke of maliciousnesse, but as the seruauntes of God.
| مثل آزادگان، اما نه مثل آنانی که آزادی خود را پوشش شرارت می‌سازند بلکه چون بندگان خدا. | ۱۶ |
17 Honour all men: loue brotherly fellowship: feare God: honour the King.
| همه مردمان را احترام کنید. برادران را محبت نمایید. از خدا بترسید. پادشاه رااحترام نمایید. | ۱۷ |
18 Seruaunts, be subiect to your masters with all feare, not onely to the good and courteous, but also to the froward.
| ای نوکران، مطیع آقایان خود باشید با کمال ترس؛ و نه فقط صالحان و مهربانان را بلکه کج خلقان را نیز. | ۱۸ |
19 For this is thanke worthie, if a man for conscience toward God endure griefe, suffering wrongfully.
| زیرا این ثواب است که کسی بجهت ضمیری که چشم بر خدا دارد، در وقتی که ناحق زحمت می‌کشد، دردها را متحمل شود. | ۱۹ |
20 For what praise is it, if when ye be buffeted for your faultes, yee take it paciently? but and if when ye doe well, ye suffer wrong and take it paciently, this is acceptable to God.
| زیرا چه فخر دارد هنگامی که گناهکار بوده، تازیانه خورید و متحمل آن شوید. لکن اگرنیکوکار بوده، زحمت کشید و صبر کنید، این نزدخدا ثواب است. | ۲۰ |
21 For hereunto ye are called: for Christ also suffred for you, leauing you an ensample that ye should follow his steppes.
| زیرا که برای همین خوانده شده‌اید، چونکه مسیح نیز برای ما عذاب کشید وشما را نمونه‌ای گذاشت تا در اثر قدمهای وی رفتار نمایید، | ۲۱ |
22 Who did no sinne, neither was there guile found in his mouth.
| «که هیچ گناه نکرد و مکر درزبانش یافت نشد.» | ۲۲ |
23 Who when hee was reuiled, reuiled not againe: when hee suffered, hee threatned not, but comitted it to him that iudgeth righteously.
| چون او را دشنام می‌دادند، دشنام پس نمی داد و چون عذاب می‌کشید تهدیدنمی نمود، بلکه خویشتن را به داور عادل تسلیم کرد. | ۲۳ |
24 Who his owne selfe bare our sinnes in his body on the tree, that we being dead to sinne, should liue in righteousnesse: by whose stripes ye were healed.
| که خود گناهان ما را در بدن خویش بردارمتحمل شد تا از گناه مرده شده، به عدالت زیست نماییم که به ضربهای او شفا یافته‌اید. | ۲۴ |
25 For ye were as sheepe going astray: but are nowe returned vnto the shepheard and Bishop of your soules.
| از آنروکه مانند گوسفندان گمشده بودید، لکن الحال به سوی شبان و اسقف جانهای خود برگشته‌اید. | ۲۵ |
