1 Kings 9
1 When Salomon had finished the building of the house of ye Lord, and the kings palace, and all that Salomon desired and minded to do,
Quando Salomão terminou a construção da casa de Yahweh, a casa do rei, e todo o desejo de Salomão que ele tinha o prazer de fazer,
2 Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.
Yahweh apareceu a Salomão pela segunda vez, como ele tinha aparecido a ele em Gibeon.
3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
Yahweh disse-lhe: “Ouvi sua oração e sua súplica que você fez diante de mim”. Fiz santa esta casa, que você construiu, para colocar meu nome lá para sempre; e meus olhos e meu coração estarão lá perpetuamente”.
4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,
Quanto a ti, se andares diante de mim como andou Davi, teu pai, em integridade de coração e retidão, para fazer conforme tudo o que te ordenei, e guardar meus estatutos e minhas ordenanças,
5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man vpon the throne of Israel.
então estabelecerei o trono de teu reino sobre Israel para sempre, como prometi a Davi, teu pai, dizendo: “Não faltará de ti um homem no trono de Israel”.
6 But if ye and your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commandements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,
Mas, se você se afastar de me seguir, você ou seus filhos, e não guardar meus mandamentos e meus estatutos que eu lhe propus, mas for e servir a outros deuses e adorá-los,
7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.
então eu cortarei Israel da terra que lhes dei; e lançarei fora da minha vista esta casa, que eu santificei pelo meu nome; e Israel será um provérbio e uma palavra de ordem entre todos os povos.
8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?
Though esta casa é tão alta, mas todos que passarem por ela ficarão espantados e assobiarão; e dirão: 'Por que Javé fez isto a esta terra e a esta casa?
9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.
e responderão: 'Porque abandonaram Javé seu Deus, que tirou seus pais da terra do Egito, e abraçaram outros deuses, e os adoraram, e os serviram. Portanto Yahweh trouxe todo este mal sobre eles””.
10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,
Ao final de vinte anos, nos quais Salomão tinha construído as duas casas, a casa de Yahweh e a casa do rei
11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.
(agora Hiram, o rei de Tiro, tinha mobiliado Salomão com cedros e ciprestes, e com ouro, de acordo com todo seu desejo), o rei Salomão deu a Hirão vinte cidades na terra da Galiléia.
12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, and they pleased him not.
Hirão saiu de Tiro para ver as cidades que Salomão lhe havia dado; e elas não lhe agradaram.
13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.
Ele disse: “Que cidades são essas que você me deu, meu irmão?”. Ele as chamou de terra de Cabul até os dias de hoje.
14 And Hiram had sent the King sixe score talents of gold.
Hiram enviou ao rei cento e vinte talentos de ouro.
15 And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
Esta é a razão do trabalho forçado que o rei Salomão recrutou: para construir a casa de Yahweh, sua própria casa, Millo, o muro de Jerusalém, Hazor, Megiddo, e Gezer.
16 Pharaoh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slew the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter Salomons wife.
O Faraó rei do Egito subiu, tomou Gezer, queimou-a com fogo, matou os cananeus que viviam na cidade e a deu de presente de casamento a sua filha, a esposa de Salomão.
17 (Therefore Salomon builte Gezer and Beth-horon the nether,
Salomão construiu na terra Gezer, Beth Horon a mais baixa,
18 And Baalath and Tamor in the wildernes of the land,
Baalath, Tamar no deserto,
19 And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)
todas as cidades de armazenamento que Salomão tinha, as cidades para suas carruagens, as cidades para seus cavaleiros, e aquilo que Salomão desejava construir para seu prazer em Jerusalém, e no Líbano, e em toda a terra de seu domínio.
20 Al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, and Iebusites, which were not of the children of Israel:
Quanto a todas as pessoas que ficaram dos amoritas, dos hititas, dos perizitas, dos hivitas e dos jebuseus, que não eram dos filhos de Israel -
21 To wit, their children that were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel were not able to destroy, those did Salomon make tributaries vnto this day.
seus filhos que foram deixados atrás deles na terra, que os filhos de Israel não puderam destruir totalmente - deles Salomão levantou até hoje uma taxa de servidão.
22 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his seruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horsemen.
Mas dos filhos de Israel, Salomão não fez escravos; mas eles eram os homens de guerra, seus servos, seus príncipes, seus capitães e governantes de seus carros e de seus cavaleiros.
23 These were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought in the worke.
Estes eram os quinhentos e cinqüenta oficiais chefes que estavam sobre o trabalho de Salomão, que governavam sobre o povo que trabalhava no trabalho.
24 And Pharaohs daughter came vp from the citie of Dauid vnto the house which Salomon had built for her: then did he buylde Millo.
Mas a filha do Faraó saiu da cidade de Davi para sua casa que Salomão havia construído para ela. Depois ele construiu Millo.
25 And thrise a yere did Salomon offer burnt offringes and peace offrings vpon the altar which he built vnto the Lord: and hee burnt incense vpon the altar that was before the Lord, when hee had finished the house.
Salomão ofereceu holocaustos e ofertas de paz no altar que ele construiu para Iavé três vezes por ano, queimando incenso com eles no altar que estava antes de Iavé. Assim, ele terminou a casa.
26 Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.
O rei Salomão fez uma frota de navios em Ezion Geber, que fica ao lado de Eloth, na costa do Mar Vermelho, na terra de Edom.
27 And Hiram sent with the nauie his seruats, that were mariners, and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruants of Salomon.
Hiram enviou para a frota seus servos, marinheiros que tinham conhecimento do mar, com os servos de Salomão.
28 And they came to Ophir and sette from thence foure hundreth and twentie talents of gold, and brought it to King Salomon.
Eles vieram a Ophir, e de lá buscaram ouro, quatrocentos e vinte talentos, e o trouxeram ao rei Salomão.
