1 Kings 9
1 When Salomon had finished the building of the house of ye Lord, and the kings palace, and all that Salomon desired and minded to do,
Yommuu Solomoon mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootii fi masaraa mootummaa ijaaree waan hojjechuu barbaade hunda fixetti,
2 Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.
Waaqayyo akkuma Gibeʼoonitti isatti mulʼate sana ammas yeroo lammaffaa isatti mulʼate.
3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
Waaqayyo akkana isaan jedhe: “Ani kadhannaa fi waammata ati fuula koo duratti dhiʼeessite dhagaʼeera; ani mana qulqullummaa kan ati ijaarte kana maqaa koo bara baraan achi keessa kaaʼuudhaan eebbiseera. Iji koo fi garaan koo yeroo hunda achuma jira.
4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,
“Yoo ati akkuma Daawit abbaan kee godhe sana garaa qulqulluu fi qajeelummaan fuula koo dura deemtee waan ani ajaje hunda hojjette, yoo qajeelchawwanii fi seerawwan koo eegde,
5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man vpon the throne of Israel.
ani akkuman yeroo, ‘Ati nama teessoo Israaʼel irra taaʼu hin dhabdu’ jedhee abbaa kee Daawitiif waadaa gale sana teessoo mootummaa keetii Israaʼel irratti jabeessee bara baraan nan dhaaba.
6 But if ye and your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commandements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,
“Garuu yoo ati yookaan ilmaan kee narraa gortanii ajajawwanii fi qajeelchawwan ani isinii kenne sana irraa gara waaqota biraa tajaajiluu fi isaan waaqeffachuu dhaqxan,
7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.
ani biyya isaaniif kenne keessaa Israaʼelin nan ariʼa; mana qulqullummaa kan Maqaa kootiif qulqulleesse kana illee nan balfa. Ergasiis Israaʼel saboota hunda biratti waan kolfaatii fi waan qoosaa taati.
8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?
Manni qulqullummaa kunis tuullaa waan diigamee taʼa; namni achiin darbu hundis dinqisiifatee, ‘Waaqayyo maaliif biyya kanaa fi mana qulqullummaa kanatti waan akkasii hojjete?’ jedhee itti qoosa.
9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.
Namoonnis, ‘Sababiin inni balaa kana hunda isaanitti fideef waan isaan Waaqayyo Waaqa isaanii kan abbootii isaanii Gibxii isaan baase sana dhiisanii, waaqota biraa hammatanii, isaanin waaqeffatanii tajaajilaniif’ jedhanii ni deebisu.”
10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,
Dhuma waggaa digdamaatti, yeroo itti Solomoon manneen lamaan jechuunis mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootii fi masaraa mootummaa ijaare sanatti,
11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.
Hiiraam mootichi Xiiroos akkuma Solomoon Mootichi barbaadetti muka birbirsaatii fi gaattiraa akkasuma warqee kenneef; Solomoon immoo magaalaawwan Galiilaa keessa jiran digdama Hiiraam mooticha Xiiroosiif kenne.
12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, and they pleased him not.
Hiiraam garuu yommuu Xiiroos irraa kaʼee magaalaawwan Solomoon isaaf kenne ilaaluu dhaqetti magaalaawwan sanatti hin gammanne.
13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.
Innis, “Yaa obboleessoo, magaalaawwan ati naa kennite kunneen magaalaawwan akkamii ti?” jedhee isa gaafate. Kanaafuu biyya Kaabuul jedhee maqaa hamma harʼaatti ittiin waamaman tokko baaseef.
14 And Hiram had sent the King sixe score talents of gold.
Hiiraamis warqee taalaantii 120 mootichaaf ergee ture.
15 And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
Seenaan itti Solomoon Mootichi mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo, masaraa mootummaa kan ofii isaa Miiloo, dallaa Yerusaalem, Haazoor, Megidoo fi Geezirin ijaaruuf hojjettoota dirqamanii hojii humnaa hojjetanitti fayyadame kanaa dha.
16 Pharaoh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slew the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter Salomons wife.
Faraʼoon mootichi Gibxi Geezirin lolee qabatee ture. Innis ibidda itti qabsiise; Kanaʼaanota achi keessa jiraatan fixee intala ofii isaa, niitii Solomoon sanaaf magaalattii gabbara godhee kenne.
17 (Therefore Salomon builte Gezer and Beth-horon the nether,
Solomoonis deebisee Geezirin ijaare. Innis Beet Horoon gad aanu,
18 And Baalath and Tamor in the wildernes of the land,
Baaʼilaati, Tadmoor kan gammoojjii biyya Yihuudaa keessatti argamtu sana,
19 And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)
akkasumas magaalaawwan kuusaawwan isaa hunda, magaalaawwan gaariiwwanii fi kan fardeen isaa, waanuma Yerusaalemitti, Libaanoonittii fi biyya bulchu hunda keessatti ijaaruu barbaade hundumas ni ijaare.
20 Al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, and Iebusites, which were not of the children of Israel:
Ammas namoota Israaʼeloota hin taʼin kanneen Amoorota, Heetota, Feerzota, Hiiwotaa fi Yebuusota jalaa hafanitu jira.
21 To wit, their children that were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel were not able to destroy, those did Salomon make tributaries vnto this day.
Solomoonis sanyiiwwan namoota kanneen hundaa warra biyyattii keessatti hafan kanneen Israaʼeloonni balleessuu hin dandaʼin sana akkuma hamma harʼaatti illee jiru kana akka isaan hojii garbummaa hojjetaniif dirqisiise.
22 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his seruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horsemen.
Solomoon garuu Israaʼeloota keessaa nama tokko illee hin garboomsine; isaan loltoota isaa, qondaaltota mootummaa isaa, ajajjuuwwan loltoota isaa, abbootii duulaa, ajajjuuwwan gaariiwwanii fi ajajjuuwwan abbootii fardaa isaa turan.
23 These were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought in the worke.

24 And Pharaohs daughter came vp from the citie of Dauid vnto the house which Salomon had built for her: then did he buylde Millo.
Solomoonis erga intalli Faraʼoon sun Magaalaa Daawit keessaa gara masaraa mootummaa kan Solomoon isheef ijaare sana dhuftee booddee Miiloo ijaare.
25 And thrise a yere did Salomon offer burnt offringes and peace offrings vpon the altar which he built vnto the Lord: and hee burnt incense vpon the altar that was before the Lord, when hee had finished the house.
Solomoon waggaatti yeroo sadii aarsaa gubamuu fi aarsaa nagaa iddoo aarsaa kan Waaqayyoof ijaare sana irratti dhiʼeessa ni ture; sana wajjinis, fuula Waaqayyoo duratti ixaana aarsee akkasiin hojii ijaarsa mana qulqullummaa fixe.
26 Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.
Solomoon mootichi amma illee Eziyoon Geber ishee biyya Edoom keessa, Eelooti bira jirtu keessatti qarqara Galaana Diimaatti dooniiwwan hojjete.
27 And Hiram sent with the nauie his seruats, that were mariners, and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruants of Salomon.
Hiiraamis akka isaan namoota Solomoon wajjin dooniiwwan irra hojjetaniif namoota isaa warra doonii oofan kanneen galaanicha beekan erge.
28 And they came to Ophir and sette from thence foure hundreth and twentie talents of gold, and brought it to King Salomon.
Isaanis dooniidhaan Oofiir dhaqanii warqee taalaantii 420 fidanii Solomoon mootichatti kennan.
