1 Kings 9
1 When Salomon had finished the building of the house of ye Lord, and the kings palace, and all that Salomon desired and minded to do,
सोलोमनले परमप्रभुको मन्दिर र राजदरबार बनाएर सिद्ध्याएछि र तिनले चाहेका कुरा सबै सम्पन्न गरेपछि
2 Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.
गिबोनमा देखा पर्नुभएझैँ परमप्रभु दोस्रो पटक सोलोमनकहाँ देखा पर्नुभयो ।
3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
तब परमप्रभुले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तैँले मेरो सामु राखेको प्रार्थना र बिन्ती मैले सुनेको छु । मैले तैँले बनाएको यो मन्दिर सदासर्वदा मेरो नाउँ राख्न आफ्नै लागि अलग गरेको छु । मेरा आँखा र मेरो मन सधैँभरि त्यहाँ हुने छ ।
4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,
मैले तँलाई आज्ञा गरेका सबै आज्ञा पालन गरी मेरा विधिविधानहरू र उर्दीहरू मानेर ह्रदयको सत्यनिष्ठा र सोझोपनमा तेरा पिता दाऊद हिँडेझैँ तँ मेरो सामु हिँडिस् भने,
5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man vpon the throne of Israel.
म इस्राएलमाथि तेरो राज्यको सिंहासन सदाको निम्ति स्थापित गर्ने छु, जस्तो मैले तेरा पिता दाऊदलाई यसो भनी प्रतिज्ञा गरेको थिएँ, 'इस्राएलको सिंहासनमा बस्न तेरो सन्तानको कहिल्यै अभाव हुने छैन ।'
6 But if ye and your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commandements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,
तर तँ र तेरा छोराछोरीहरू तर्केर गई मैले तेरो सामु राखेका मेरा आज्ञा र विधिविधानहरू पालन नगरी अरू देवताहरूको पुजा गर्यौ र तिनीहरूको सामु निहुरियौ भने,
7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.
मैले इस्राएललाई दिएको देशबाट म तिनीहरूलाई निष्कासित गरिदिने छु, र मेरो नाउँको लागि मैले अलग गरेको यो मन्दिरलाई म मेरो दृष्टिबाट मिल्काइदिने छु अनि इस्राएल सबै जातिका बिचमा घृणा र उपहासको उदाहरण बन्ने छ ।
8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?
यो मन्दिर भग्नावशेषको थुप्रो बन्ने छ, र यसबाट भएर जाने प्रत्येक व्यक्तिले यसको घृणा गर्ने छ । तिनीहरूले सोध्ने छन्, 'परमप्रभुले यो देश र यो मन्दिरलाई किन यसो गर्नुभएको होला?’
9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.
अरूहरूले जवाफ दिने छन्, ' तिनीहरूले तिनीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्र देशबाट ल्याउनुहुने तिनीहरूका परमेश्वर परमप्रभुलाई त्यागी अरू देवताहरूको पछि लागी तिनीहरूको सामु निहुरी तिनीहरूलाई पुजेकाले परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूमाथि यी सबै विपत्ति ल्याउनुभएको हो' ।”
10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,
सोलोमनले दुईवटा भवन अर्थात् परमप्रभुको मन्दिर र राजदरबार बनाएर सिद्ध्याउन तिनलाई बिस वर्ष लाग्यो ।
11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.
टुरोसका राजा हीरामले सोलोमनले चाहेका सबै देवदारु र सल्लाका काठ तिनलाई जुटाइदिए । त्यसैले सोलोमन राजाले हीरामलाई गालीलको क्षेत्रमा बिसवटा सहर दिए ।
12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, and they pleased him not.
सोलोमनले हीरामलाई दिएका सहरहरू हेर्न तिनी टुरोसबाट आए, तर तिनी खुसी भएनन् ।
13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.
त्यसैले हीरामले भने, “हे मेरा भाइ, तपाईंले मलाई दिनुभएका यी सहरहरू कस्ता सहरहरू हुन्?” हीरामले ती सहरहरूलाई काबूल देश भने जसलाई आजसम्म पनि त्यही नाउँले चिनिन्छ ।
14 And Hiram had sent the King sixe score talents of gold.
हीरामले राजालाई चार टन सुन पठाएका थिए ।
15 And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
सोलोमन राजाले परमप्रभुको मन्दिर, आफ्नो निजी दरबार, टेवा दिने गाराहरू, यरूशलेमको पर्खाल, हासोर, मगिद्दो र गेजेर बनाउनलाई बेगार काममा लगाएका मजदुरहरूको विवरण यही हो ।
16 Pharaoh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slew the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter Salomons wife.
मिश्रका राजा फारोले गेजेरलाई माथि उक्लेर कब्जा गरेका थिए । तिनले यस सहरका कनानीहरूलाई मारेर जलाइदिएका थिए । त्यसपछि फारोले यो सहर आफ्नी छोरी सोलोमनकी पत्नीलाई दाइजोस्वरूप दिएका थिए ।
17 (Therefore Salomon builte Gezer and Beth-horon the nether,
त्यसैले सोलोमनले गेजेर र तल्लो बेथ-होरोनलाई पुनर्निर्माण गरे ।
18 And Baalath and Tamor in the wildernes of the land,
तिनले बालात र यहूदियाको उजाड-स्थानमा तामार, आफ्नो अधिकारमा भएका सबै भण्डारण गर्ने सहरहरू,
19 And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)
र आफ्ना रथहहरू र घोडचढीहरू राख्नका निम्ति सहरहरू बनाए । यरूशलेम, लेबनान र आफूले शासन गरेका सबै इलाकामा आफूले इच्छा गरेअनुसार तिनले बनाउने काम गरे ।
20 Al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, and Iebusites, which were not of the children of Israel:
बाँकी रहेका सबै एमोरी, हित्ती, परिज्जी, हिव्वी र यबूसी जो इस्राएली थिएनन्,
21 To wit, their children that were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel were not able to destroy, those did Salomon make tributaries vnto this day.
तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरू जो देशमा बाँकी रहेका थिए, जसलाई इस्राएलीहरूले पूर्ण रूपमा नष्ट गर्न सकेका थिएनन्, तिनीहरूलाई सोलोमनले बेगार काममा लगाएका थिए जो आजको दिनसम्म छन् ।
22 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his seruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horsemen.
तथापि, सोलोमनले इस्राएलीहरूलाई भने बेगार काममा लगाएनन् । बरु, तिनीहरू तिनका सिपाहीहरू, अधिकृतहरू र कप्तानहरू अनि सारथीहरूका कप्तान र घोडचढीहरू बने ।
23 These were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought in the worke.
तिनीहरू सोलोमनका कामको रेखदेख गर्ने अधिकारीहरू पनि बने जसको सङ्ख्या पाँच सय पचास थियो । तिनीहरूले काम गर्ने मानिसहरूको रेखदेख गर्ने काम गर्थे ।
24 And Pharaohs daughter came vp from the citie of Dauid vnto the house which Salomon had built for her: then did he buylde Millo.
फारोकी छोरी दाऊदको सहरबाट सोलोमनले उनको लागि बनाएको घरमा सरिन् । पछि सोलोमनले टेवा दिने गाराहरू बनाए ।
25 And thrise a yere did Salomon offer burnt offringes and peace offrings vpon the altar which he built vnto the Lord: and hee burnt incense vpon the altar that was before the Lord, when hee had finished the house.
सोलोमनले परमप्रभुको निम्ति बनाएका वेदीमा परमप्रभुको निम्ति धूप बाल्दै तिनले वर्षमा तिन पटक होमबलि र मेलबलिहरू चढाउँथे । यसरी तिनले मन्दिरको काम सम्पन्न गरी त्यसको प्रयोग गरे ।
26 Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.
सोलोमन राजाले लाल समुद्रको किनारमा भएको एदोमको एलात नजिकै एस्योन-गेबेरमा जहाजहरू बनाए ।
27 And Hiram sent with the nauie his seruats, that were mariners, and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruants of Salomon.
हीरामले आफ्ना सेवकहरू अर्थात् समुद्रको विषयमा जान्ने नाविकहरू सोलोमनका मानिसहरूसित काम गर्न सोलोमनका जहाजहरूमा पठाए ।
28 And they came to Ophir and sette from thence foure hundreth and twentie talents of gold, and brought it to King Salomon.
तिनीहरू सोलोमनका सेवकहरूसँगै ओपीरमा गए । त्यहाँबाट तिनीहरूले राजा सोलोमनकहाँ साँढे चौध टन सुन ल्याए ।
