1 Kings 9
1 When Salomon had finished the building of the house of ye Lord, and the kings palace, and all that Salomon desired and minded to do,
ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ತಾನು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
2 Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.
ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದಂತೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದರು.
3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವು ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಈ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳೂ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವೂ ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವುವು.
4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,
“ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಂತೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯಿಂದ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆದರೆ,
5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man vpon the throne of Israel.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿನಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ‘ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.’
6 But if ye and your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commandements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,
“ಆದರೆ ನೀವಾಗಲಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯದೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರಹೋಗಿ, ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರೆ,
7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.
ಆಗ ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ನನ್ನ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಈ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವೆನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾದೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವರು.
8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಉನ್ನತವಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಆಲಯದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ, ಈ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವರು.
9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.
ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು, ‘ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟ್ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಸೇವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಈ ಕೇಡನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು,’” ಎಂದರು.
10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,
ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಎರಡು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯವನ್ನೂ, ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ
11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.
ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಟೈರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಟೈರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, and they pleased him not.
ಆಗ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಟೈರಿನಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ತನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು, “ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನೇ, ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಎಂಥಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವೆ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಬೂಲ್ ದೇಶವೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅವಕ್ಕೆ ಅದೇ ಹೆಸರು.
14 And Hiram had sent the King sixe score talents of gold.
ಹೀರಾಮನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
15 And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.
ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದಾಸರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣವೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರವನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮಿಲ್ಲೋವನ್ನೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಹಾಚೋರನ್ನೂ, ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋವನ್ನೂ, ಗೆಜೆರನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೇ.
16 Pharaoh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slew the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter Salomons wife.
ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ, ಗೆಜೆರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಬಹುಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
17 (Therefore Salomon builte Gezer and Beth-horon the nether,
ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಗೆಜೆರನ್ನೂ, ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಬೇತ್ ಹೋರೋನನ್ನೂ,
18 And Baalath and Tamor in the wildernes of the land,
ಬಾಲಾತನ್ನೂ, ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತದ್ಮೋರ್ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
19 And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಉಗ್ರಾಣದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ರಾಹುತರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮತ್ತು ರಥಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
20 Al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, and Iebusites, which were not of the children of Israel:
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರು, ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರು, ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರು, ಹಿವ್ವಿಯರು, ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರು, ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರನ್ನೂ
21 To wit, their children that were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel were not able to destroy, those did Salomon make tributaries vnto this day.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಸಂಹರಿಸದೆ ಉಳಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ದಾಸತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
22 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his seruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horsemen.
ಆದರೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ದಾಸರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಯುದ್ಧಭಟರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅವನ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ರಥಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ, ರಾಹುತರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
23 These were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought in the worke.
ಇದರೊಳಗೆ ಐದು ನೂರ ಐವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕೆಲಸದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರು ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
24 And Pharaohs daughter came vp from the citie of Dauid vnto the house which Salomon had built for her: then did he buylde Millo.
ಆದರೆ ಫರೋಹನ ಮಗಳು ದಾವೀದನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಳು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಮಿಲ್ಲೋವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
25 And thrise a yere did Salomon offer burnt offringes and peace offrings vpon the altar which he built vnto the Lord: and hee burnt incense vpon the altar that was before the Lord, when hee had finished the house.
ವರುಷಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತಾನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಪೀಠದ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಸುಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಆಲಯದ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿದನು.
26 Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಎದೋಮ್ ದೇಶದ ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರತೀರದ ಏಲೋತ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಚ್ಯೋನ್ ಗೆಬೆರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಡಗುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
27 And Hiram sent with the nauie his seruats, that were mariners, and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruants of Salomon.
ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸಮುದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣರಾದ ತನ್ನ ನಾವಿಕರನ್ನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಆ ಹಡಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
28 And they came to Ophir and sette from thence foure hundreth and twentie talents of gold, and brought it to King Salomon.
ಅವರು ಓಫೀರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಾವಿರ ಕಿಲೋಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.
